Princess Anne's old-fashioned daily diet is pretty peculiar

Yahooa day ago
Princess Annehas the most fascinating royal diet.
Despite being privy to personal chefs, along with the freshest ingredients and invites to many of the world's best restaurants at her disposal, the late Queen's daughter has some very frugal habits when it comes to food.
From buying affordable supermarket staples to serving her dinner guests choc ices, the Princess Royal, 74, is most down-to-earth and eats some rather unusual dishes. In fact, Anne once told The Lady magazine that her large walk-in fridge is her favourite place at home!
According to the MailOnline, Anne has never been one for decadence or indulgence when it comes to mealtimes and has even been known to serve her dinner guests pork pies or "anything by Fray Bentos," a supermarket brand of tinned meat.
The Princess Royal explained, "After all, one wants everyone out of the house by 9.15pm at the latest. For pudding, I pass them a choc ice to eat in the car."
So what exactly does Princess Anne's daily diet look like? Not only did we find out, we tried it for ourselves. One HELLO! writer gave Princess Anne's unusual diet a go and documented the results.
Princess Anne reportedly likes to start her day with a bowl of fruit, kickstarting her metabolism with a natural sugar kick – but the way she likes to eat her bananas might make your stomach churn.
It has been reported that the late Queen Elizabeth II's daughter often has a bizarre request for her bananas, preferring them to be past their 'best before' date.
Former royal chef Darren McGrady previously told TODAY: "[Princess Anne] almost always preferred the bananas almost black - overripe - because they digest easier."
Although very little is known about the royal's regular eating habits, Anne has been known to enjoy kippers, a form of smoked herring.
The salty fish is most commonly eaten at breakfast with eggs, but makes a delicious lunch alternative when served in a salad, or paired with buttery new potatoes.
The royal's fondness for kippers was revealed by a complimentary letter she previously sent to Fortune Kippers, a 140-year-old company based in Whitby, Yorkshire.
Given Anne's sweet tooth and close relationship with her mother, it's also likely the royal shares a fondness for afternoon tea, which Her Late Majesty was said to enjoy every day.
Darren previously revealed that the late monarch enjoyed chocolate biscuit cake and ginger cake, and her favourite sandwiches were cucumber, egg and smoked salmon. Delicious!
To mark her 70th birthday in 2020, Princess Anne guest-edited an edition of Country Life magazine, of which her contributions revealed her favourite dish – and it's so luxurious.
Anne told readers that devilled pheasant was her go-to supper, brought to life by Executive Chef of the Ritz, John Williams.
John told Country Life: "Basically, a couple of whole pheasants are poached, then taken off the bone, shredded and kept warm in the poaching juices.
"You just add freshly whipped cream, left in the fridge for an hour to stiffen, mixed with a good amount of Green Label mango chutney."

Azealia Banks Accuses Conor McGregor of Sending Unsolicited Nude Images and Threatening Her Online

Conor McGregor is once again in the eye of a media firestorm. The UFC superstar, who has amassed fame, fortune, and more than his fair share of controversy since entering the Octagon in 2013, is now facing a new and intensely graphic scandal that may outdo them all. On the morning of July 14, 2025, rapper and provocateur Azealia Banks took to social media to air explosive allegations against McGregor, accusing the Irish fighter of sending her unsolicited nude images and threatening her not to go public. The posts, published on her X (formerly Twitter) account, included screenshots of uncensored photos allegedly sent by McGregor in a disturbing late-night interaction. Banks didn't mince words in her early-morning revelations. In a now-viral thread, the '212' artist accused McGregor of sending her multiple completely naked selfies, including one image where he appeared to be lifting weights using his genitals. The posts included a chilling text that allegedly followed the explicit images: 'Don't be a rat cos all rats get caught.' According to Banks, the messages were not only unwanted but also an attempt to intimidate her into silence. 'Like how are you really going to sexually harass me with the potato farmer d* then threaten me not to tell???? Honey…… ain't u trying to be the president of Ireland what is it giving fam? Use some f****** sunscreen d***,**' Banks posted in one of the most blistering takedowns yet seen on social media in 2025. Though the explicit photos remain live on Banks' X feed, they are not being shared here due to their graphic nature. If these allegations are true, they represent the latest in a long line of disturbing incidents for the former UFC champion. McGregor, once the shining face of Irish athleticism, has accumulated an eyebrow-raising dossier of public scandals. According to a timeline compiled by Rolling Stone, the fighter's controversies stretch back to at least 2017, when his erratic behavior outside the cage began making more headlines than his wins inside of it. Among the most serious accusations: In 2023, a woman accused McGregor of sexually assaulting her during the NBA Finals. While the Florida State Attorney's Office declined to pursue criminal charges, ESPN reports that the woman has since filed a civil suit, which remains pending. In 2024, McGregor was allegedly spotted kissing a mystery woman on a beach, a public display that drew attention due to his ongoing engagement. And now, with these alleged nude photos sent to Banks, critics are once again questioning how long the UFC and McGregor's sponsors will tolerate the fighter's increasingly erratic, inappropriate, and potentially criminal behavior. Banks, who is known for her unfiltered online persona and has previously been involved in high-profile feuds, is not apologizing for calling McGregor out. If anything, she's doubling down. Throughout the morning of July 14, Banks posted additional messages mocking McGregor's anatomy, questioning his presidential ambitions, and calling for accountability. 'You think I'm scared of some cauliflower-eared cokehead in a bathrobe sending limp threats? I'm from HARLEM. Try me.' she wrote in one post. Public opinion is already beginning to shift, with users across social media siding with Banks and demanding that the UFC and its sponsors respond. 'If this were ANYONE else, they'd be dropped in a heartbeat,' one X user wrote. 'Why is Conor McGregor still being protected?' As of publication time, Conor McGregor has not issued a public statement regarding the allegations. The UFC has also remained silent. But silence may not be an option for long. With graphic evidence now circulating, and Banks continuing to hold court in real time online, McGregor could soon face more than just a bruised reputation. Legal consequences may be on the horizon. McGregor has long hinted at future political ambitions, including a 2024 flirtation with running for president of Ireland, a move many dismissed as a publicity stunt. But Banks wasn't about to let that slide. 'Trying to run for president but can't keep your d* out of my DMs? Be serious. Be f****** for real.**' she added in one of her most scathing posts. Whatever ambitions McGregor had for public office or redemption may now be dead on arrival. While it remains to be seen whether McGregor will face professional consequences, this latest scandal has reignited conversations about power, celebrity, and male entitlement in sports. Banks' decision to publicly name and shame the MMA star could mark a watershed moment in how unsolicited sexual harassment by celebrities is treated in the court of public opinion and possibly in actual courtrooms. The world is watching. And this time, Conor McGregor may have finally stepped too far out of bounds. Story developing. Additionally, Jesper Christensen (Spectre) has boarded as recurring. Years ago, he formed a strategic alliance with King Fairhair concerning his young son Haakon, and has been grooming him for future leadership, and to ensure his influence extends beyond Wessex. Tomnikov portrays the dual roles of Greta and The Seer. Greta is an esteemed shield maiden and close member of Bloodaxe's trusted group of warriors. However, it's revealed that she has the ability to transform into the form of an ancient woman, known as The Seer, who possesses an all-seeing power, and the ability to divine the future as ordained by the gods themselves. Marie is Thyra, the Queen of Denmark, wife of Gorm, and mother to Gunnhild. She is an admired figure, cunning and steadfast, and will do whatever she can to ensure the longevity of her and Gorm's power and rule. Temte plays Gorm, the King of Denmark, husband to Thyra, and father to Gunnhild. Sharp and devious, Gorm lacks the brash, hot-headedness prized in many Norsemen, but his calculating, diplomatic, and occasionally brutal approach to rule has made him one of the most formidable powers in Scandinavia. Christensen portrays King Harald Fairhair. The First King of all Norway who conquered his many powerful rivals, nearing the end of his legendary reign. Fairhair relies on the love and support of his son, Bloodaxe, and begins to fear that many of his sons are now plotting against him. As previously announced, Jessica Madsen and Levi Miller will also star, playing the respective roles of Bloodaxe's wife Gunnhild, aka the Mother of Kings, and his younger half-brother Haakon the Good. Created, written, and exec produced by Vikings creator Michael Hirst and his son, Horatio Hirst, Bloodaxe follows Erik Bloodaxe, one of history's most famous Norse raiders, and his formidable wife, Gunnhild as they fight for the throne of Norway. In the process, the land is torn apart by fierce rivals, shifting loyalties, and bloody betrayals. With war looming and chaos consuming the kingdom, drawing in the ruthless Kings of other Scandinavian countries, and even a powerful English ruler, the stage is set for a thundering, cataclysmic, compelling and utterly magical new Norse Saga. Officially ordered in March, the show will be produced by MGM Television, a division of Amazon MGM Studios, with production beginning in Ireland and Iceland later this summer. Michael and Horatio Hirst will showrun and write, exec producing alongside Morgan O'Sullivan under his O'Sullivan Productions label, Steve Stark under his Toluca Pictures label, Arturo Interian, John Weber, Sheila Hockin, and Fred Toye. Avots and Tomnikov are repped by Lisa Richards Agency and Subtitle Talent; Hallett by United Agents, Luber Roklin Entertainment, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman; Marie by Panorama Agency, Authentic Talent and Literary Management, and Felker Toczek Suddleson; Temte by Actors in Scandinavia and Jackoway Austen Tyerman; and Christensen by Tavistock Wood Management and Spielkind. Transgender Model Munroe Bergdorf Shares Her Journey from Cancellation to Comeback in New Documentary 'Love & Rage' (Exclusive)

Transgender model Munroe Bergdorf is releasing a powerful new documentary, Love & Rage, on July 15 Per a synopsis, the film "sparks a universal conversation on identity, feminism, race and hope" Bergdorf made headlines in 2017 when she was fired from her role as a L'Oréal Paris spokesmodel, after making history as the first transgender model to front a U.K. campaign for the brandMunroe Bergdorf is ready to tell her story. In a new documentary Love & Rage, the trailblazing transgender model looks back on her life and career journey, including her highly publicized firing from her spokesmodel role at L'Oréal Paris in 2017 (the company ultimately rehired her three years later). Per a synopsis, the film "explores her journey, activism, and the balance between personal needs and public responsibility. Through Munroe's story, the film sparks a universal conversation on identity, feminism, race, and hope." In an exclusive clip shared with PEOPLE, Bergdorf is seen celebrating her 36th birthday surrounded by friends. "There's always been a voice inside of me that was unsure whether or not I'd make it past 35," she says in a voiceover. "So to be 36 is exciting because I've got so much to look forward to and be grateful for." "I don't think that many trans people, let alone many Black trans people, really get to tell our stories whilst we're alive on our own terms, and show the 360-experience of what it means to be a trans person in today's society — what it means to be a trans woman, a queer woman, a black woman, all of the parts of who we are," Munroe tells PEOPLE. She continues, "We're in a very unique time in history where the assault on trans lives and trans rights and healthcare are being ramped up and being used as a wedge issue to attack all of our rights, so it is a really pertinent moment to tell my story but also it's not just my story. It's about all of us, about what it means to be human and not existing in a constant state of struggle and survival, and about what happens when we prioritize love and fight for that love." ! From struggling with identity in childhood to grappling with public scrutiny as a transgender activist, Love & Rage allows Bergdorf to reflect on her personal journey. "She got me to where I am today," she says of her past self. "Every single decision that she made got me to this moment. Sometimes I think there could have been a smoother way here, but at the same time I've learned so much from the negative experiences as much as the positive ones and turned the negative into the positive." Bergdorf continues, "I wish I could go back and say, 'I'm proud of you and thank you.' Even when some of the moments I navigated were difficult, and I wish there weren't as painful, they're all for something." In 2017, Bergdorf was named the face of a L'Oréal Paris' U.K. campaign, making history as the brand's first transgender model. However, she was fired shortly after when she wrote a Facebook post denouncing racism after a Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, left one person dead. According to NBC news, Bergdorf said in her post, which has since been taken down, that white people must "admit their race is the most violent and oppressive force of nature on Earth." L'Oréal Paris said in a statement at the time that they were terminating the brand's partnership with her because Bergdorf's comments were "at odds" with its mission to support "diversity and tolerance towards all people irrespective of their race, background, gender and religion." Then in 2020, the model called the company's Black Lives Matter Instagram post hypocritical and a form of "gaslighting." After Bergdorf called out L'Oreal Paris, the company announced they were forming a U.K. Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Board, which Bergdorf was appointed to."Munroe felt silenced by a brand, L'Oréal Paris, that had the power to amplify her voice," Delphine Viguier, president of L'Oreal Paris, said in a statement, via NBC news. "While we both agree today that negative labels should not be used to define all individuals in any group, I understand much better the pain and trauma that were behind Munroe's words back then and the urgency she felt to speak in defense of the Black community against systemic racism." Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. With this documentary, the model is "hoping that fellow trans people feel seen." "I'm hoping that queer people feel galvanized and inspired to fight for their siblings," she adds. "I'm hoping that straight people see it and are enraged and understand the moment more. I'm hoping cis-gender people think a little bit about what they can do in order to provide safety, security, opportunity, for a community that desperately needs it. " Love & Rage will be available to stream on July 15. Read the original article on People
