The Stews coming to Avondale Brewing Company on tour
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A band that got its start at Auburn University will be stopping by Avondale Brewing in June.
The Stews, made up of Preston Hall, Blake Dobbs, Bennett Baugus and Wyatt Griffith, will be performing June 21 for its 'Summer Solstice Spectacular' show. The band will be joined by Stoplight Observations, Portico and Zion Goins.

The show will start at 5 p.m., with doors opening at 4 p.m. Tickets to the show can be found on Avondale Brewing's website.

Central Alabama Pride hosting parade and 47th annual PrideFest
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Central Alabama Pride has multiple events scheduled for the rest of June, including the 2025 Central Alabama Pride Parade and the 47th Annual PrideFest. The parade is scheduled for Saturday, June 14, at 8 p.m. The parade route will start at 30th St. S. and 7th Ave. S. and end at 22nd St. S. Central Alabama Pride says the event is family-friendly and open to all ages. A 21+ after party will be held at Saturn at 10 a.m. The after party will feature former 'RuPaul's Drag Race' contestants Aja and India Ferrah. Tickets to the after party at Saturn can be found here. Thousands of volunteers needed for 2025 World Police and Fire Games The following Sunday, Central Alabama Pride is hosting Birmingham's 47th annual PrideFest. The event will take place from 12- 6 p.m. at Linn Park. The event will feature food trucks, artisan vendors, a kids' zone, a health fair, live entertainment and more. The lineup for the event's main stage can be found here. Following the celebration at Linn Park, an after party with karaoke will be hosted at Al's on 7th.
