Jennifer Aniston's alleged stalker, gate crasher facing felony charges
The 48-year-old man from Mississippi arrested for crashing through a gate at Jennifer Aniston's Bel Air home faces the possibility of three years in prison if convicted on all charges, authorities announced Wednesday.
In a news release, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office said Jimmy Wayne Carwyle is charged with stalking the Emmy and Golden Globe award winning actress since March 2023.
Prosecutors said Carwyle, a resident of New Albany, Mississippi, repeatedly harassed Aniston, identified only as 'Jennifer A' in the release, leaving her unwanted voicemails, as well sending her messages over social media and email.
Carwyle's alleged fixation culminated in a frightening ordeal on May 5 when he reportedly crashed through the front gates of Aniston's Bel Air mansion, causing damage to the property.
The 'Friends' and 'Morning Show' actress was reportedly home when the incident happened.

Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the neighborhood around 12:20 p.m. on reports that a burglary suspect had driven through the gate of a home near Sunset Boulevard and Bellagio Road.
Private security in the area detained the suspect until officers arrived. Carwyle, who reportedly complained about being in pain after crashing through the gate, was taken into custody without further incident.
He has since been charged with one count each of felony stalking and felony vandalism, as well as an aggravating circumstance of the threat of great bodily harm, L.A. County prosecutors said.
'Stalking is a crime that can quickly escalate from harassment to dangerous, violent actions, threatening the safety of victims and our communities,' L.A. DA Nathan Hochman said. 'My office is committed to aggressively prosecuting those who stalk and terrorize others, ensuring they are held accountable.'
Prosecutors intend to ask the court that Carwyle's bail be set at $150,000. He is due to appear in court tomorrow.

Republic Pictures has shared the official Trust trailer for its newest suspense thriller, starring Emmy nominee Sophie Turner. This marks the Game of Thrones star's first movie as the lead in a long while, after 2022's Survive with Corey Hawkins. Dating apps used in Mexico to lure and kidnap U.S. citizens, officials warn
U.S. citizens who visit Mexico are being warned that they may be at risk of being kidnapped by people who lure them in through dating apps, according to federal officials. The U.S. Consulate General Guadalajara warned that the victims of such schemes were kidnapped in Puerto Vallarta and Nuevo Nayarit areas in recent months, according to a news release. The consulate did not say how often this type of crime has occurred or whether any suspects have been arrested. Victims and their family members were extorted for large amounts of money in order to be released, officials said. Some of the victims met their captors in residences or hotel rooms. Officials didn't specify the dating apps that were used but urged people to be careful while using dating apps in Mexico. Authorities also suggested that app users only meet in public places, avoid isolated locations, and tell a loved one where they plan on going, details of the person they're meeting and the app being used. They also advised people to trust their instincts and to call 911 in case of emergency. The state of Nayarit, which includes the city of Nuevo Nayarit, has been classified as 'Level 2: Exercise Caution' because of crime. Dating apps have also been used in the U.S. to target victims. In Los Angeles this spring, four people violently robbed and shot at a victim whom they met on a dating site, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. On April 28, a male victim met with a woman he connected with on a dating site near South Occidental Boulevard and Beverly Boulevard, according to the LAPD. Two more people arrived in a vehicle and one man pointed a gun at the victim and demanded his property.
