Danilo Gallinari's family experienced a scary underwater incident.
The former NBA star's wife Eleonora Boi shared that she was bitten by a shark in Puerto Rico—where Danilo plays professionally—during what she called 'the worst day of my life.'
'I never thought I'd be attacked by a shark, especially near the shore on a crowded beach,' Elenora wrote in an August 1 Instagram post alongside a selfie from a hospital bed. 'Fortunately, my baby and I are fine.'
Elenora—who is expecting her third child with Danilo—shared that she received immediate care that saved her and her unborn child from further harm.
'I was rescued promptly, and the surgery to repair my poor, bitten leg went well,' she said. 'Now I just have to recover from the terrible scare and try to forgive the great friend who betrayed me.'
Finding light in the situation, the sports journalist—who married the Italian basketball star in 2021—quipped to the shark, 'you'll hear from my lawyers soon.'

Elenora also thanked her followers and had a sweet message for her husband who missed out on a special event due to the incident.
'I thank my husband, who, despite marrying Fantozzi-Boi, gave me all his love and so much courage,' she said. 'Today he even missed the Bad Bunny concert, but he shouldn't get his hopes up, it's only for a short time.'
The Department of Natural and Environmental Resources (DRNA) shared the news of the incident but didn't confirm the victim's name. However, Elenora's name and incident was reported by local news outlet El Nuevo Día, who confirmed that on July 31, 'The woman suffered an open wound to her thigh,' during the attack at the Carolina Resort.
According to DRNA biologist Nilda Jiménez, Elenora's injury is being investigated to determine the species of shark involved.
"Based on the photographs provided to us, we believe the characteristics of the bite could be consistent with those of a shark,' Nilda said in a statement to El Nuevo Día translated from Spanish. 'But to validate this, a series of analyses would be necessary. For this purpose, medical personnel were asked for samples, which, if available, would be analyzed promptly.'

Lakers jersey history No. 2 — Brandon Bass

Through the 2024-25 season, the Los Angeles Lakers have had a total of 506 players suit up for them, going back to their days in Minneapolis. Some were forgettable, some were serviceable, some were good and a select few were flat-out legendary. As the Lakers approach their 80th season of existence (they were founded back in 1946 as the Detroit Gems in the National Basketball League), LeBron Wire is taking a look at each player who has worn their jersey, whether it has been a purple and gold one or the ones they donned back in the Midwest during their early years. We now take a look at Brandon Bass, who was with the Lakers during the 2015-16 season. Bass was once the SEC Player of the Year in 2005 with averages of 17.3 points and 9.1 rebounds a game while at Louisiana State University. He was a second-round draft pick that year by the New Orleans Hornets. His first several NBA seasons were relatively quiet, but in the 2010-11 season, as a member of the Orlando Magic, the 6-foot-8 forward started getting significant playing time and averaged double figures in scoring for the first time. After four subsequent seasons with the Boston Celtics, Bass signed with the Lakers in 2015. During the 2015-16 season, he registered 7.2 points on 54.9% field-goal shooting and 4.3 rebounds in 20.3 minutes a game with the Lakers. He spent the following season, his last in the NBA, with the Los Angeles Clippers. Bass then went on to spend a few years with the Liaoning Flying Leopards of the Chinese Basketball Association. Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's Daughter, 21, Stuns in a Tiny Bikini

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's Daughter, 21, Stuns in a Tiny Bikini originally appeared on Parade. With the summer season well upon us, celebrities are continuing turn up on beaches around the U.S. to soak up the sun. That includes their offspring, such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's daughter Apple Martin. Recently spotted in the Hamptons wearing a tiny bikini and splashing in the waves, Apple, 21, looks all grown up — and a lot like her Academy Award-winning mother, for that matter. TMZ has the photos, which can be seen here. One shows Apple in the ocean off New York, throwing her hands up and having a blast as waves crash around her. Both of Apple's celebrity parents have been in the news of late, following a certain infamous Coldplay concert — where the (married) chief executive officer of Astronomer was caught on a "kiss cam" getting cozy with another woman: the company's human resources chief. Following the concert — and the headlines that spawned from the incident — CEO Andy Byron officially resigned, after if was confirmed he was indeed with Astronomer colleague Kristin Cabot. "As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding," the company's statement, posted to X on July 19, read. "Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met." "Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted," the statement continued. "The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO." And then there's Paltrow, 52. Just a week after Byron, 50, resigned and Cabot, 52, followed suit, the company hired the goop founder — and ex of the Coldplay co-founder, 48 — as its official "temporary spokesperson" during Astronomer's turbulent time. Following the stunning announcement, the company dropped a hilarious video of Paltrow answering commonly asked questions about the future of Astronomer. Watch the laugh-out-loud clip below.
