CyberPower Wins 2025 CRN® Tech Innovator Award for its PFC Sinewave 1U Rackmount UPS Systems

SHAKOPEE, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Cyber Power Systems (USA), Inc., a leader in power protection and power management products, announced today its PFC Sinewave 1U Rackmount UPS (uninterruptible power supply) systems were named the overall winner in the CRN® Tech Innovator Awards in the power protection and management category. The annual CRN awards spotlight innovative technology vendors in the IT channel. The winners were selected in 33 distinct technology categories across areas such as cloud, storage, networking, and security by a panel of CRN editors after closely reviewing hundreds of vendor entries and solution provider testimonials. The judges selected winners based on multiple criteria, including key capabilities, uniqueness, technological ingenuity, and ability to address customer and partner technology needs. As part of its best-selling PFC Sinewave UPS product line, CyberPower launched the 1U-size PFC Sinewave series in late 2024 to address a need for compact rackmount power protection suitable for a variety of security, audio/visual, edge computing, telecom, and networking environments. 'Many of these IT environments demand professional power protection and sine wave output in a minimum footprint, specifically for wall mount and small server racks,' said Mike Dresen, lead product manager at CyberPower. 'You can't get more compact than our line of PFC Sinewave 1U Rackmount UPS systems. In addition to sine wave output, we packed these compact units with premium features like optional remote management capabilities, a color LCD panel, and EMI/RFI noise filtering.' The CyberPower PFC Sinewave 1U Rackmount UPS systems are available in four models and varying battery capacities and depth dimensions: CP500PFCRM1U, 500 VA/300 Watts; CP700PFCRM1U, 700 VA/400 Watts; CP1000PFCRM1U, 1000 VA/600 Watts; and CP1500PFCRM1U, 1500 VA/900 Watts. Each UPS system can be remotely monitored and managed using an optional CyberPower remote management card or cloud card via software from CyberPower: PowerPanel® Business software or the PowerPanel® Cloud app, respectively. The solutions facilitate convenient management and monitoring of CyberPower UPS systems from iOS and Android mobile devices as well as desktop applications. Dresen added: 'Having remote capability allows IT pros to check, manage and restart power without physically going out to the location so this cuts down on time and cost.' 'Each of the 2025 CRN Tech Innovators Award winners is a standout offering that reimagines what's possible in the IT channel,' said Jennifer Follett, VP, U.S. content and executive editor at CRN, The Channel company. CUPE: Air Canada Flight Attendants Forced to Issue Strike Notice to End Unpaid Work

TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Air Canada Component of CUPE has issued a 72-hour strike notice to Air Canada after the airline refused to recognize that flight attendants should be paid for all their time on the job. Air Canada responded by issuing a 72-hour lockout notice. "For the past nine months, we have put forward solid, data-driven proposals on wages and unpaid work, all rooted in fairness and industry standards," said Wesley Lesosky, President of the Air Canada Component of CUPE. "Air Canada's response to our proposals makes one thing clear: they are not interested in resolving these critical issues." The airline is also refusing to increase flight attendant wages to match industry standards, inflation, or even federal minimum wage. Entry-level flight attendant wages have only gone up $3 per hour since 2000 while inflation has increased by 69% in the same timeframe. "Our locals have had to set up food banks in our union offices for junior members who cannot afford groceries," said Lesosky. "Our members need and deserve a fair wage increase that makes everyone whole for the skyrocketing cost of living, and one that lifts our junior flight attendants out of poverty." Air Canada's offer of an 8% wage increase in year one would not even recoup the 9% that flight attendants have lost in purchasing power over the course of their previous contract. It is, in effect, a pay cut. Air Canada is clearly banking on the federal government bailing them out by pre-empting flight attendants' Charter-protected right to take job action. "When we stood together, Air Canada didn't come to the table in good faith," Lesosky added. "Instead, they called on the federal government to step in and take our rights away. Despite the company's abhorrent attempts to pre-emptively take away our Charter rights, we remain at the bargaining table, ready to negotiate and avert a shutdown.'

Expand About Sonendo Sonendo is a commercial-stage medical technology Company focused on saving teeth from tooth decay, the most prevalent chronic disease globally. Sonendo develops and manufactures the GentleWave® System, an innovative technology platform designed to treat tooth decay by cleaning and disinfecting the microscopic spaces within teeth without the need to remove tooth structure. The system utilizes a proprietary mechanism of action, which combines procedure fluid optimization, broad-spectrum acoustic energy and advanced fluid dynamics, to debride and disinfect deep regions of the complex root canal system in a less invasive procedure that preserves tooth structure. The clinical benefits of the GentleWave System when compared to conventional methods of root canal therapy include improved clinical outcomes, such as superior cleaning that is independent of root canal complexity and tooth anatomy, high and rapid rates of healing and minimal to no post-operative pain. In addition, the GentleWave System can improve the workflow and economics of dental practices.
