Wrexham open door to Liverpool wonderkid move

Liverpool are rarely short of offers for loan moves and it can be difficult to make the right choice.
Of course, the player has to want to taken on the opportunity to play elsewhere for a season at a more competitive level, but the club has to make way for the player, giving them regular minutes.

If those conditions aren't met, then the move isn't right and Liverpool will be disrupting the players' development more than enhancing it. Richard Hughes has to make sure everything is all in order.

Right now, a few Liverpool wonderkids are being considered for a move and a well-respected club in the football league is rumoured to be looking at a move for one of them. The stars are aligning.
Koumas off to Wales?
According to TeamTalk, show-stopping club Wrexham - who have been promoted three seasons in a row - are interested in a move for Lewis Koumas, a young teenage winger in Liverpool's academy.
In their report, it said: "It is understood that Liverpool winger Lewis Koumas remains a target, especially with Josh Windass facing an extended absence through injury, but ambitious Wrexham are now looking to stiffen their defence."
Of course, the report might have considered the young talent for a permanent move, which might well prove to be difficult to complete. But Liverpool are unwilling to sell Koumas in any case.
This detail was revealed in The Athletic's deal sheet on Tuesday, when James Pearce wrote: "Koumas, the 19-year-old who has also attracted some permanent interest, is wanted by Sheffield United, Hull City, Wrexham and Preston North End."
As such, the Welsh interest certainly feels plausible and potentially, Koumas could join them on loan.
The temporary move would solve the Windass injury absence that appears to be a concern and the Reds could trust that the Welshman would be getting substantial minutes for a team in his homeland.
All of the parties would subsequently benefit from the deal and this potential agreement appears to have sufficient legs, although we'll have to see if anything actually develops over the next two weeks.
Liverpool have a lot on their plate and it might be decided that Koumas could come into the first team if the recruitment team struggle to get another forward across the line before deadline day arrives.
For now, uncertainty will prevail but I'd expect to see some movement on his future in due course.

How to watch Bournemouth vs Wolves live: Stream, TV channel, team news, prediction

Both Bournemouth and Wolves won't be too disheartened after shipping four goals apiece in opening weekend defeats to title favorites, but they'll both be looking to get back on track when they meet on the south coast this Saturday. WATCH — Bournemouth v Wolves Bournemouth lost 4-2 at Liverpool in the opening game of the season but threatened an almighty shock as they surged back from 2-0 down to make it 2-2 before eventually losing at Anfield. Andoni Iraola's side have lost key players in defense and that will obviously impact them this season, but they look very dangerous going forward with the brilliant Antoine Semenyo scoring twice at Liverpool. The Cherries should be in the top 10 conversation once again this season. Wolves would love to be in that conversation but it seems Vitor Pereira's side are in for a season of relegation struggle. They've lost so many key players this summer and haven't really replaced them. But it's hard to judge Wolves after they were dismantled 4-0 at home by a stacked and hungry Manchester City side on the opening weekend. New winger Amine Adli has arrived from Bayer Leverkusen and the Moroccan international should be a perfect fit for their style. Defensively there are concerns as it will take new signings a few weeks to settle in. OUT: Lewis Cook (knee), Enes Unal (knee) | QUESTIONABLE: Justin Kluivert (calf), Luis Sinisterra (thigh), Ryan Christie (undisclosed) Wolves team news, focus Jorgen Strand Larsen is the main threat up top and Wolves will aim to get plenty of crosses into him. Central midfield and defense looks settled but out wide there are issues and you do worry about Wolves' lack of goals after Matheus Cunha's departure. Surely they will make some moves late in the window. OUT: Leon Chiwone (knee) Bournemouth vs Wolves prediction This feels like a pretty straightforward home win, and the Cherries should score early and often. Bournemouth 3-1 Wolves.

Leeds signs Noah Okafor from AC Milan for $24.5M

LEEDS, England (AP) — Leeds completed the signing of Noah Okafor from AC Milan on Thursday for a fee of around 21 million euros ($24.5 million). The newly-promoted Premier League team announced that Okafor had signed a four-year contract 'subject to a work permit and international clearance.' The Switzerland international is Leeds' ninth signing since it earned promotion back to the Premier League, where it won its first match of the season on Monday, against Everton. Okafor — who can play on either wing or as a central striker — joined Milan in 2023 from Red Bull Salzburg for around 14 million euros (then $15.5 million), penning a five-year contract. The 25-year-old never really lived up to his potential with the Rossoneri, although he arrives off a promising pre-season, where he scored four goals in Milan's Asia tour — including two against Liverpool. A loan move to Leipzig in January collapsed after Okafor failed a medical but he went on to join Napoli on loan, earning a Serie A title winner's medal despite only playing a total of 36 minutes across four matches. ___ AP soccer: The Associated Press

Tottenham remain interested in Savinho after missing out on Eberechi Eze

Tottenham have swiftly moved on to different targets after they missed out on Eberechi Eze and remain interested in the potential signing of Manchester City's Savinho, the PA news agency understands. Spurs were all set to capture Eze after they reached an agreement with Crystal Palace on Wednesday for a £60million plus £7.5m in adds-on deal until Arsenal swooped in to hijack the transfer of the England international. Eze would have filled the creative void at Tottenham left by James Maddison, who is set to miss the rest of the season after he ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee earlier this month, but Thomas Frank must now shift focus elsewhere. Talks were opened between Spurs and Manchester City on August 11 regarding the versatile Savinho, who made 48 appearances and produced 13 assists in his debut campaign at Etihad Stadium. While dialogue cooled as Tottenham explored a big-money move for Eze over the past week, Savinho is still a target for the north London club, PA understands, and reports in Brazil suggest an 80million euros (£69.2m) bid is being prepared. Frank has enjoyed a strong start to life at Spurs, with an impressive Super Cup display in defeat to Paris St Germain followed by a 3-0 victory over Burnley last Saturday but next month will bring the challenge of Champions League football. With Maddison out long-term and Dejan Kulusevski (knee) sidelined for the foreseeable future, the Danish coach is in need of attacking reinforcements and talks over Savinho could soon accelerate, especially after Saturday's trip to Man City.
