Walkers making change to crisps 'from Monday onwards' after 'devastating' fans

Yahoo11-03-2025

Discontinued Walkers crisps are set to RETURN to shelves across the UK in just days. It comes after people across the UK over the last couple of weeks were devastated that the return of the Walkers Worcester Sauce flavour crisps was only available in Worcester.
Walkers has heard the outrage loud and clear! On reflection, Walkers has apologised and has decided to make the Worcester Sauce flavour crisps available to purchase ACROSS THE WHOLE OF THE UK with stock landing on shelves in all retailers from next week onwards.
The brand told Birmingham Live: "On reflection, maybe we shouldn't have just limited the sale of Walkers Worcester Sauce flavoured crisps to only one store in Worcester. Fans, we've heard your outrage loud and clear."

In response to the launch, @tripleeatsfood exclaimed: 'NATION WIDE RELEASE NEEDED RIGHT NOW!!!' and @krissie.p74 advised: 'Bring them back everywhere. Best crisps ever.'*
Walkers told us: "So, we've decided that your favourite Walkers Worcester Sauce flavour crisps will land on shelves at retailers all over the UK from Monday 17th March onwards.
"We're working hard to make them available for everyone to enjoy the beloved flavour - which is now even more Worcestershire-y with Lea & Perrins' iconic sauce." The brand said: "We're sorry for any distress caused. Enjoy!"
Last week, eager crisp lovers formed a queue outside Charlie's Convenience Store on Barbourne Road, in the Cathedral city of Worcester - the only shop currently stocking the crisps. The store is managed by 31 year old Gubir Singh, affectionately known as Gav to the locals, whose family took ownership of the shop in 2019.
Speaking about the relaunch, Gav expressed: "I was honoured to be asked to help relaunch the Worcester Sauce flavour crisps. I'm playing a pivotal moment in the city's history - I'd just encourage people to pay us a visit while stocks last."

No transfer bids for Emi Martinez as Aston Villa star speaks out

Aston Villa haven't received any formal contact regarding goalkeeper Emi Martinez, who has dominated the transfer headlines since the end of the season. The 32-year-old's future has come under scrutiny after he was seen in tears at the end of Villa's final home game of the season against Tottenham last month. Advertisement Martinez signed a long-term contract extension in August but has attracted interest from Atletico Madrid, other European clubs, and teams in Saudi Arabia. READ MORE: Nassef Sawiris agreement as expletive fired off in 'stupid' Man Utd transfer rant READ MORE: Manager warns that Aston Villa transfer target 'is not ready for the Premier League' He joined up with the Argentina national team over the weekend and remained coy about his future when asked. 'My future? I don't know,' he told the press. 'I'm here to play for the national team, and that's all I care about right now. Do I want to change clubs? The transfer market has just opened, so there's still a lot to happen.' Advertisement As it stands, no club has submitted a formal offer for Martinez. Meanwhile, Villa are not under a huge amount of pressure to generate significant funds through player sales this summer, thanks to the financial boost from their Champions League campaign. Unai Emery's side earned around £100 million after reaching the quarter-finals, where they were narrowly beaten 5–4 on aggregate by eventual champions Paris Saint-Germain. However, after failing to qualify for next season's Champions League, they won't have such revenue to call on in the 2026 summer window. USDA Announces Recall of Over 15,000 Pounds of Beef Jerky Due To Undeclared Allergen

On June 3, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced that Utah-based Springville Meat & Cold Storage Co., Inc., is voluntarily recalling 15,388 pounds of beef jerky and beef snack sticks, as well as elk, venison, and buffalo jerky products because of misbranding and undeclared allergens. The heat-treated, shelf-stable, ready-to-eat products contain fish, a known allergen that was not declared on the product labels. The issue was discovered during production monitoring by FSIS inspectors, revealing that the new Worcestershire sauce used in certain jerky and snack stick products contained anchovies. The company previously used Worcestershire sauce without this addition. The affected products were produced between May 30, 2023, and May 30, 2025, and were sold nationwide to retail locations under various brand names, including but not limited to: Uncommon Ground, Papa Rays, Spear, Dry Lakes Ranch, Smokehouse Jerky Company, Twisselman, Wild Green Water Ranch, Mr. Bills, Nut Garden, Prospector John's, John & Doug's, Knotts & Co., Killer, Miguel's, Big D's, Bear's, Bubba's, Soldier Summit, Theurer's Quality Meats, and TX Jerky Man. The recalled products bear the establishment number "EST. 20528" inside the USDA mark of inspection. A full list of labels, varieties, and lot codes can be found through the FSIS links: Label Part 1 Label Part 2 Label Part 3 Label Part 4 Label Part 5 Lot Numbers According to FSIS, there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions from these products. However, FSIS is concerned that some products may be in consumers' pantries. Anyone who has these products is urged not to consume them and to return them to the original place of purchase. Anyone concerned about adverse reactions or illness related to this recall should contact a healthcare provider.
