Scott Wolf's estranged wife Kelley makes shock police brutality claims after 'second mental health hold'

Daily Mail14-07-2025
Scott Wolf's estranged wife Kelley has claimed she was placed under an involuntary mental health hold 'again' by police - who she alleges abused her in custody.
Last month Kelley - who shares three children with her actor ex - alarmed fans when she shared a video of herself seemingly getting arrested in Utah - before it emerged she had been taken to hospital by police.
Kelley took to Instagram on Saturday to level curious claims against the Summit County Police Department - alleging she had been 'thrown down the stairs' by cops while on a seven day 'involuntary hold' - after being 'taken' from Sundance.
However, Summit County Police Department confirmed to Dailymail.com they were not involved in any response to Sundance Resort on July 6 - as Sundance is not located in Summit County.
Sharing a photo of her bruised arm, Kelley alleged: 'I was held for 7 days and they tried to keep me for 90. I will not be quiet anymore. I cannot be quiet anymore.
She claimed of her injuries: 'This is from the police. I will get myself safe but I'm asking for help. Thrown down stairs. Broke my wrist, Contusions on my head. I'm bruised everywhere and I literally was released last night. This is the SECOND time.

'Summit county police took me from Sundance on July 6. I was in a hot tub. Placed me on an involuntary hold at Summit county Behavioral health. The truth must be told.'
A further post saw Kelley say: 'I love my kids. I'm not crazy. I need help. And I want my kids back. That's all for now.'
She is mom to Jackson, 16, Miller, 12, and Lucy, 11.
A Summit County Police Department spokesman said in a statement they are 'aware of several photographs and social media posts circulating that inaccurately claim 'Summit County Police' responded to an incident at Sundance (Resort) on July 6, including allegations of a confrontation involving Summit County law enforcement.
'Sundance Resort is not located within Summit County, and therefore, no law enforcement agency from Summit County, including the Summit County Sheriff's Office , would be involved in incidents occurring there.
'I can confirm that the Summit County Sheriff's Office was not involved in any response to Sundance on July 6.'
DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for Utah County Sheriff's Office, Summit County Behavioral Health, Sundance Mountain Resort and Scott Wolf for comment but has yet to hear back.
On June 25, Scott filed court documents in Utah asking for a restraining order against his estranged wife.
The Boston-born actor's brother Michael Wolf also entered a declaration in the matter, US Weekly reported after reviewing court docs.
'It's so sad for the kids, but Kelley is ready to fight like hell for her children,' an insider close to Kelley, a mental health professional, told the outlet.
The source added: 'It is not warranted, it's cruel. And it's incorrect.'
On June 9, Wolf submitted to the court documents indicating his desire to divorce Kelley, who he exchanged vows with in May of 2004.
Wolf said in a statement at the time: 'After 21 years of marriage, I have made the most difficult decision of my life, and filed for divorce from my wife Kelley.
'Our children have always been, and continue to be, the loves of our lives and our every priority, so I kindly ask for privacy at this time as we help guide them through this new chapter.'
Kelley issued a statement saying that she was the one to submit the first paperwork indicating she and the actor were parting ways after 21 years.
'I initiated a separation almost a year ago,' Kelley said, adding, 'I've been trying to file for divorce for months, but delays with legal counsel slowed the process.
'Yes, the official petition came from the other party, but let the record show: I've been grieving this marriage for years.'
Before Scott had his restraining order in place and had temporary custody of their three kids, Kelley was detained by police after strange comments she made to her father and others.
On June 13, Kelley shared footage of police arriving to take her to the hospital while she was on an Instagram Live stream.
'Deputies responded to the Sundance Resort for a report of a female that needed some help,' read a statement from law enforcement obtained by People.
'Upon speaking with the female, our Deputies learned that she had made concerning comments to a family member, and she also made similar comments to our Deputies,' the statement continued.
'For that reason, our Deputies transported the female to a local hospital.'
Kelley later confirmed she was placed under an 'involuntary 5150,' which is 'a critical intervention used to detain individuals who are considered a danger to themselves or others or are gravely disabled due to a mental disorder,' per the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

Disgraced Food Network star announces closure of her flagship restaurant 12 years after racism scandal

Former Food Network star Paula Deen unexpectedly shuttered her two Savannah, Georgia restaurants on Friday. The 78-year-old disgraced TV personality and chef announced the closures of The Lady & Sons and The Chicken Box via Facebook and her website, Deen — whose career took a hit when she admitted to using a racial slur in 2013 — wrote to fans, 'Hey, y'all, my sons and I made the heartfelt decision that Thursday, July 31st, was the last day of service for The Lady & Sons and The Chicken Box.' She continued in the note, which was also signed by her sons Jamie, 58, and Bobby, 55, 'Thank you for all the great memories and for your loyalty over the past 36 years. 'We have endless love and gratitude for every customer who has walked through our doors. We are equally grateful to our incredible staff — past and present — whose hard work, care, and hospitality made The Lady & Sons what it was. 'Savannah will always be our home, and we'll always be here to support our wonderful community.' Amid the shock shutdowns, the family is attending to their other businesses. 'We will now focus our attention on the four Paula Deen's Family Kitchen locations across the country—in Pigeon Forge, Myrtle Beach, Nashville, and Branson,' the letter read. In just a few days the trio will be on-site at one of their remaining eateries. 'We're excited to continue visiting these restaurants regularly, starting with Branson on August 8th,' said the correspondence. They directed patrons to a phone number and email for future reservations, events, and catering inquiries. The message was signed off with 'Love & Best Dishes.' It comes 12 years after Food Network axed the celebrity chef's TV show, Paula's Home Cooking series. The cancellation was due to backlash from a deposition in which Deen confessed to using a racial slur. By Friday the doors were shuttered and a written explanation was plastered on the windows In an interview with CBS News, Savannah resident Martin Rowe said about the now-defunct restaurants: 'Nobody knew anything was wrong.' He added: 'I walk by there two or three times a week at lunch, and it was always packed.' The Lady & Sons was Deen's 'flagship restaurant' and was established in June 1989. Meanwhile, The Chicken Box was much newer, having opened just two years ago in 2023. In late May the restaurant was forced to briefly suspend service in the wake of electrical issues caused by inclement weather. An Instagram post dated May 28 included the caption: 'Still having electrical issues after the flooding y'all- elevator is janky now as well. Hopefully back tomorrow. Stay tuned. Thank y'all.' It included a photo of a sign outside the business that read: 'We hope to re-open tomorrow for lunch service. This flood did a real number on us. Sorry y'all - Jamie.'

I had a butt injection in Los Angeles' most walkable area - where you don't need to hire a car

There are some things that are just 'so LA'. Think palm trees, celeb-spotting, Lululemon-clad women holding their overpriced Hailey Bieber-inspired crafted drinks - and, more importantly, traffic. After hopping off the plane at LAX with a dream and my cardigan, I'm keenly anticipating all the glitz and glamour awaiting me, while dreading the amount of time I'm about to be stuck in a car this week. But, forget what you've you've heard about needing to rent a car in LA, there's a part of the City of Angels you can actually walk around and still feel like an A-lister - West Hollywood. There's so much to see here, including the Sunset Strip, Design District and Santa Monica Blvd, - and you can see it all in breathtaking views from the Skybar of my Alice in Wonderland-themed hotel, Mondrian. This hotel's location is testament to why WeHo is known as LA's most walkable area. Here, I'm a stone's throw from The Comedy Store - often deemed the greatest stand-up comedy club in the world; The Viper Room, a nightclub partly owned by Johnny Depp; and The Abbey, a favourite bar of Elizabeth Taylor and the inspiration for Chappel Roan's hit song Pink Pony Club. Naturally, the food scene in West Hollywood is remarkable, and you won't even need to leave your hotel to find a decent joint. At Mondrian, I dine at the newly opened Casa Madera which offers delectable Mexican cuisine under starry lights and large open windows showcasing the painting-like sunset. While the hotel itself is pretty swanky, the restaurant is its standout jewel, with some of the most good-looking patrons and views I have ever seen. I also eat at Ladyhawk, a restaurant in the Kimpton LA Peer Hotel, which won Best New Restaurant in LA Magazine, thanks to its prodigy chef Charbel Hayek. The Middle Eastern spot has one of the most delicious mezze platters I've tasted, complete with fresh hummus, a muhammara dish made of roasted red peppers. And for breakfast, I visit another famous hotel - Sunset Tower, which served as residence to Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra and Elizabeth Taylor. But I didn't go to LA just to eat - it's all about the active lifestyle here. After a morning workout at Taylor Swift's favourite fitness studio DOGPOUND, I head out on an e-bike tour with Bikes + Hikes to learn more about WeHo - where porn theatres and brothels have been replaced by cannabis lounge, State Social House, and rows and rows of cannabis dispensaries. Even actor Woody Harrelson has his own one - aptly named The Woods. I choose not to indulge in any of the green stuff - opting instead for some relaxation. And you certainly won't be lacking that in West Hollywood, as it has the largest number of wellness offerings on the West Coast. I try several treatments, including the red carpet facial at Bamford Spa at 1 Hotel - a go-to for the likes of Jennifer Coolidge. I sip on tea and freshly made smoothies while awaiting my appointment. Even before the facial, I'm feeling more relaxed, sipping on tea and freshly made smoothies while waiting for my appointment. And after, my face is positively glowing, with my skin having gone from dry to dewy in just an hour. But I feel like a fully fledged Angelino after the two treatments I have at Next Health - a vitamin injection in my butt and cryotherapy. It might sound mad having a bum injection, but the Beauty B shot is full of good stuff for skin, hair and nail health, like biotin and folic acid. I'm usually apprehensive about injecting anything into my body, and after seeing two of my friends get light-headed from the treatment, I do have doubts for a second - but watching the more regular customers look so nonchalant as they have vitamin drips via IV and red light therapy eases my nerves. I feel like a fully fledged Angelino after my visit to NEXT Health - where I have a vitamin injection in my butt and cryotherapy. LEFT: The chairs for vitamin drips via IV. RIGHT: The treatments menu Anyway, when in Hollywood! While I can't say I feel a noticeable difference after the glute injections, the cryotherapy is one of the most refreshing treatments I've had done. The advanced cold therapy reaches temperatures as low as -65°C in just three minutes, and although my eyelashes do freeze over, I have Taylor Swift on in the background helping the time fly by - and I'd be keen to be frozen again! I feel like even more of an A-lister later, when I take a helicopter ride across the city, with Maverick Helicopters, flying over the Hollywood sign, Santa Monica Pier, Universal Studios and Harry Potter World. Suspended over such iconic locations I'd only ever seen in films before, I'm almost too starstruck to remember my fear of heights.

The curse of Party of Five: How gritty drama of hit 90s show spilled out into real life for the cast members

Among the many iconic shows that filled the television landscape in the mid-90s, Party of Five stood out as something special. The poignant series focused on the lives of the five Salinger children, who were picking up the pieces after tragically losing both of their parents in a drunk driving accident. The San Francisco-set series - aired on the Fox network between September 1994 and May 2000, racking up 142 episodes during its six seasons - introduced America to a fresh-faced cast of actors. The series made breakout stars of its principal cast - Scott Wolf, Matthew Fox, Neve Campbell, Lacey Chabert and Jennifer Love Hewitt - but drama would unfold offscreen for the stars. It also garnered a Primetime Emmy nomination in 1996 and continues to boast an army of devoted fans who keep the show's legacy alive on platforms such as Facebook and Reddit. On the series, Fox played the eldest sibling Charlie, a 24-year-old man struggling with his newfound responsibilities as the eldest in the family,. Wolf played Bailey, a 16-year-old who matured fast following the death of his parents, but picked up some bad habits in the process. Campbell played Julia, Chabert played Claudia and Hewitt joined the cast in the show's second season to play the role of Bailey's girlfriend Sarah Reeves. In the three decades-plus since the show initially aired, members of the cast have shock personal and professional difficulties - Daily Mail looks back on the biggest scandals to rock the actors... Scott Wolf Scott Wolf, 57, has been in the headlines as of late amid his messy divorce with his wife of 21 years, life coach Kelley Wolf, 48. The split has been a contentious one, with multiple 911 calls being placed amid conflict between the former pair, and leading police to show up to the Utah home they formerly shared on multiple occasions. Kelley has also made headlines frequently documenting her post-split ongoings on social media amid a series of erratic incidents, even delving into sensitive financial issues. The Boston-born actor on June 10 released a statement declaring he and his spouse of more than two decades had parted ways. 'After 21 years of marriage, I have made the most difficult decision of my life, and filed for divorce from my wife Kelley,' Scott said in a statement. 'Our children have always been, and continue to be, the loves of our lives and our every priority, so I kindly ask for privacy at this time as we help guide them through this new chapter.' The estranged couple are parents to children, Jackson, 16, Miller, 12, and Lucy, 11, with the eldest child speaking out publicly amid the public divorce. In a request for a restraining order against Kelley, Scott said she had 'engaged in an escalating pattern of behavior that poses a substantial threat of immediate and irreparable harm to [the former couple's] minor children.' Aside from the split, Wolf has had other drama in the past few months, as he was involved in an uncomfortable legal situation this past May 11, when he was pulled over in his 2009 Audi driving as fast as 128 miles, according to a police report. Jennifer Love Hewitt Jennifer Love Hewitt has enjoyed a successful career, using her role on Party of Five as a springboard into prominent roles in films like I Know What You Did Last Summer, Can't Hardly Wait and Heartbreakers. The 46-year-old actress has an impressive TV resume post-Party of Five, having played the role of Melinda Gordon on the show Ghost Whisperer from 2005 until 2010, and headlining shows such as The Client List, Criminal Minds and 9-1-1. The actress recently reprised her role of Julie James in the I Know What You Did Last Summer sequel, garnering much buzz when she stepped out on the red carpet. But all that glittered wasn't gold for the actress, who admitted that she dealt with serious body positivity issues decades back amid massive scrutiny on her physique. Speaking with Vulture earlier this month, the actress said that when she watched the documentary Framing Britney Spears, she began to relate the pop singer's experiences to her own - which moved her to tears. 'When I started watching it, I was like, "Oh, they talked to me like that. Oh," Hewitt said. 'I started crying for her. And then I realized I was crying for me.' Hewitt said that her efforts 'to be a good actor' were upended by the public's fascination with her figure, leading her to try 'outact the conversation around my body.' Hewitt said that a 2007 story scrutinizing her physique (after she was seen in a bikini in Hawaii) further upset her - 'for all the girls out there that are struggling with their body image.' Said Hewitt: 'A size 2 is not fat! Nor will it ever be. And being a size 0 doesn't make you beautiful. To all girls with butts, boobs, hips and a waist, put on a bikini - put it on and stay strong.' Matthew Fox Like Hewitt, Fox, 59, has had a relatively successful Post-Party of Five run, most notably playing Dr. Jack Shephard on the ABC ht Lost from 2004-2011. But the actor has run into his share of difficulties with a string of bizarre, transportation-related incidents more than a decade back. Fox was detained and taken into custody by law enforcement in August of 2011 incident in Cleveland, Ohio. The actor tried to trespass onto a private party bus and struck a driver named Heather Bormann, according to authorities. The driver subsequently withdrew a civil lawsuit she filed, while prosecutors withdrew charges in connection with the incident. Less than a year later, in May of 2012, Fox was arrested in his native Oregon in connection with driving under the influence, which he pleaded no contest to the following month.
