City confirmed our place in the final four after a dramatic 3-2 extra-time triumph over Arsenal last weekend. And our opponents advanced to the semi-final after completing a 4-1 comeback win over West Ham United.
The usual knockout rules will still apply where if a winner cannot be decided in 90 minutes, the game will go to extra-time. If the additional 30 minutes still can't separate the two sides, the game will go to a penalty shootout.
Both teams will be looking to battle it out with a place in the final on the line and, in turn, extend the 2024/25 campaign by one final week. The winner of our semi-final will face Crystal Palace or Southampton in the final.

Regular updates of the match will be available on X: @ManCityAcademy once the get begins. A detailed match report and post-match reaction will be available on mancity.com and the Official Man City App after the final whistle.
PREVIOUS MEETING
The two sides met in a regular PL2 league clash at Carrington back in September, 2024 with City taking the derby bragging rights thanks to a 3-1 victory.
Goals from Farid Alfa-Ruprecht, Jaden Heskey and Will Dickson were enough to counter Ethan Wheatley's United strike and so seal all three points.
LAST TIME OUT
The City youngsters secured our place in the last four thanks to a dramatic 3-2 quarter-final win over Arsenal after extra time.

In what was a pulsating encounter at the Joie Stadium, the young Gunners had raced into a 2-0 lead before Ashton Muir narrowed the deficit early in the second half.
Lakyle Samuel then headed home deep into injury time to level affairs and sent the play-off into extra time.
There, for the second week in a row, Divin Mubama struck to secure victory for Ben Wilkinson's side.
United meanwhile sealed their place in the semi-finals with a 4-1 home win over West Ham on Bank Holiday Monday.

Kylian Mbappe ‘happy' that PSG won the Champions League: ‘There's no bitterness'

Kylian Mbappe said he has no 'regrets' or 'bitterness' over Paris Saint-Germain winning the Champions League less than a year after he departed the club for Real Madrid. Mbappe won six Ligue 1 titles in a seven-year spell with PSG but has never lifted the Champions League. Upon his move to the Bernabeu in June 2024, the France striker joined the European title holders and 15-time winners of the competition, but they were knocked out in the quarter-finals via a 5-1 aggregate defeat to Arsenal. Advertisement PSG, meanwhile, beat Inter Milan by a record 5-0 margin in the Champions League final in Munich earlier this month to lift the trophy for the first time in the club's history. 'I didn't leave too soon,' Mbappe said at a news conference on Saturday ahead of France's Nations League third-place match against Germany, via L'Equipe. 'My story with PSG was over. There's no bitterness, no regrets. It's destiny. I would have tried everything, it had to happen without me.' Mbappe started in PSG's 1-0 Champions League final loss against Bayern Munich in 2020, and the Parisians reached the semi-final of the tournament a year later, where they were beaten by Manchester City. PSG then suffered back-to-back round-of-16 exits before a semi-final defeat by Borussia Dortmund in Mbappe's final season at the club. 'I was happy, they deserved it, they've been through so many problems, I've been through that too,' Mbappe said, via Reuters. 'I've been through every stage of the Champions League except winning it. 'They were the best team in Europe. I can't remember ever seeing them go 5-0 up. It's 100 per cent deserved, they're becoming the team everyone wants to beat.' Mbappe's first season in Spain ended trophyless after Madrid were beaten by Clasico rivals Barcelona to the title in La Liga and the Copa del Rey. Mbappe said he is 'in the eye of the storm' following PSG's Champions League victory but added he has 'always liked being in these positions'. 'It's up to me to work,' he added. 'I've reversed quite a few trends in my career, I've had a lot of things stuck on my back and I've managed to get them off.' Mbappe's France face Germany in the third-place Nations League decider on Sunday (2pm BST, 9am ET), after the 26-year-old netted a penalty in his side's 5-4 semi-final defeat by Spain on Thursday. Arsenal ‘advancing' in Benjamin Sesko transfer talks

Arsenal are advancing in talks to sign Benjamin Sesko but no agreement has been reached with RB Leipzig. Sesko has emerged as the leading target for Arsenal as the Gunners look to sign a centre-forward this summer. Arsenal failed with a move to sign the Slovenian striker 12 months ago but have returned with renewed interest. Advertisement Despite signing a new deal last summer, Sesko is now keen to leave Germany after Leipzig's failure to secure European qualification. The 22-year-old has a release clause of around €80m (£67.4m) in his contract but Arsenal are hopeful of negotiating a lower fee. However, any deal is expected to represent a club-record fee for a centre-forward, eclipsing the £56m spent to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in 2018. Arsenal progressing in Sesko transfer talks Fabrizio Romano has revealed that negotiations between the clubs are progressing but no agreement is expected imminently. Arsenal are relaxed on the situation and have also assessed the cost of signing Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon. Sesko is a player endorsed by the recruitment team with the forward regarded as one of Europe's best number nine prospects. Advertisement He has scored 39 goals in 87 games since joining Leipzig from sister-club Red Bull Salzburg in 2023 and has netted 16 times in 41 caps for Slovenia. At five years younger than Gyokeres, Sesko is viewed as a more sensible long-term addition. The 6ft 5in forward would offer Arsenal an out-and-out forward presence, though Arteta remains a big believer in Kai Havertz's ability to fulfil the role. Havertz scored 13 goals in 27 starts for Arsenal before a hamstring injury sustained in February decimated the latter half of his 2024/25 campaign. Jorginho reached agreement with Arsenal before joining Flamengo

Jorginho ultimately did reach an agreement to terminate his Arsenal contract early, allowing him to play at the Club World Cup with Flamengo. Photo via Jorginho was announced as a new Flamengo player on Friday, and any doubts about whether he'd be joining his new club immediately or on July 1st were quickly put to bed. Advertisement That was the debate prior to the transfer, with Jorginho still technically having a contract with Arsenal until June 30th. If he couldn't reach an agreement to terminate early, he'd be unavailable for Flamengo in the early stages of the Club World Cup – with his new team's first game on June 17th. But Arsenal confirmed on Friday that they have reached a mutual agreement to terminate the deal a few weeks early, and Flamengo wrote that Jorginho's first match will indeed be at the Club World Cup. Photo byBrazilian outlet UOL had reported earlier this week that Jorginho would land in Rio de Janeiro on Friday to undergo medical examinations and to sign his contract with Flamengo, information which turned out to be correct. Advertisement UOL had also correctly reported that Jorginho would sign a deal to 2028, so it's worth putting some stock in their claim that the player had agreed to give up around £800,000 in compensation from Arsenal to terminate his contract early. That might seem like an overestimate, given Jorginho wasn't on £200,000-a-week wages at Arsenal. But the £800,000 figure supposedly includes bonuses as well, with players often due a loyalty bonus on the completion of their contracts. Photo byWith those reports appearing to be accurate, Arsenal and Flamengo will both benefit from their eventual agreements with Jorginho. The Gunners will save a decent chunk of money for a player who was leaving anyway, and Flamengo will have an experienced international available from the start of their Club World Cup campaign. Notably, Flamengo will have Jorginho as an option against former club Chelsea on June 20th.
