Thai dramas, or lakorns, have amassed a vast global fan following due to its perfect blend of romance, comedy, and heartfelt drama. If you're new to the world or can't find your favorite series on streaming services like Netflix or Amazon Prime, don't panic; there are lots of other ways to watch Thai dramas online for free.
Here are 7 top websites where you can stream Thai dramas without paying a dime:
GMMTV
Pros: This is one of Thailand's most notable entertainment firms, producing numerous popular BL and slice-of-life programs. Their official YouTube channel regularly posts full episodes and sometimes entire series, frequently with high-quality English subtitles. It is fully legal and free, and new episodes are added as soon as they air in Thailand.
Cons: Certain content may be geo-blocked based on your location. Also, like with most free YouTube content, many advertisements might disrupt the immersion, especially during emotional passages!
Viki
Pros: Powered by Rakuten, this is a go-to for many Asian drama fans. While it is well-known for Korean dramas, its Thai drama library is gradually expanding. Viki provides official subtitles in a variety of languages, as well as fan-created features such as timed comments and playlists.
Cons: Free users will have to go through advertisements, and some premium titles require a Viki Pass subscription to unlock, which might be inconvenient for casual watchers.
YouTube (Unofficial Channels)
Pros: Fan channels can be vast repositories of difficult-to-find or vintage Thai dramas. It's possible that you will even find fan-subtitled versions of shows that are no longer officially accessible on streaming services.
Cons: Subtitle correctness and video quality can differ greatly. Episodes may abruptly disappear because copyright takedowns are frequent due to these unofficial uploads. Interruptions from ads are also common.
Dailymotion
Pros: This is a less well-known but helpful substitute that occasionally airs complete Thai drama episodes or even entire seasons. Fans occasionally post somewhat longer or uncut versions on the platform.
Cons: Viewers may not always enjoy the user interface, which isn't the most user-friendly, the numerous pop-ups and advertisements, and the occasionally bad or absent subtitles.
Dramacool
Pros: In the Asian drama world, this streaming platform is well-known for its vast library of K-plays, C-dramas, and Thai dramas. It doesn't require registration and lets you browse by genre, popularity, or release date.
Cons: Risks associated with this unofficial website include pop-up advertisements, redirects, and the possibility of malware. Ad-blockers and antivirus software should be used before viewing.
iQIYI
Pros: This is an international streaming service that is legal and rapidly growing its Thai content library. It now includes exclusive titles and excellent broadcasts. Although the platform is free, it offers a nice user interface and English subtitles.
Cons: Limited access is provided by the free tier; many well-known shows demand a VIP membership. Particularly on mobile devices, the interface might occasionally be a little busy.
HiTV
Pros: With a wide selection of Thai dramas ranging from recent blockbusters to classic fan favorites, this is a growing platform. Its user interface is organized and fluid, and many have English subtitles. Fans searching for better legal solutions are particularly fond of it.
Cons: HiTV requires a paid subscription in order to access the majority of its programming, in contrast to the other free platforms mentioned. Furthermore, availability could differ depending on where you live.

Exclusive: Diljit Dosanjh's Sardaar Ji 3 Will Lose Nearly Half Its Revenue Over Hania Aamir Gamble, Says Producer

New Delhi: After the severe backlash towards Sardaar Ji 3 over the casting of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir opposite Diljit Dosanjh, producer and Managing Director of White Hill Studios Gunbir Singh Sidhu opens up on casting her and the harsh criticism being faced from the film association. Diljit Dosanjh was widely trolled on social media and elsewhere after Hania Aamir's casting came to light. Film bodies in India have called for a ban on the film in the country in light of the heightened tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, 2025. FWICE, a film industry worker's union, issued a new directive against Diljit Dosanjh and fellow Sardaar Ji 3 producers Gunbir Singh Sidhu, Manmord Sidhu and director Amar Hundal after the trailer of the film revealed that Pakistani actor Hania Aamir is part of its cast. Reacting to the social media outburst and such harsh reactions, the producer tells NDTV, "Those who are actively involved in the film industry and are aware of day-to-day activities, know that this film was shot in February-March 2025 itself. We shot it in the UK. There was no such atmosphere at that time, work was going on normally between the two countries. The whole atmosphere was normal. There was no restriction from the Government of India or any other institution." Speaking about how the film's team made a conscious decision not to release the film in India after the Pahalgam attack, he adds, "When we came to know about this attack, we decided that we would not release the film India, because we did not want to hurt the sentiments of our people in any way. We too were hurt by this incident. Keeping this honour in mind, we decided that the film will be released only overseas because our major investment is there. There was no restriction from any government overseas, so it was decided to release there. We did not put the trailer on YouTube in India, nor did we do any kind of promotional activities." The producer also addresses the issue of whether as an Indian he would like to offer work to Pakistani actors in Indian films. He adds that if attacks are being made by Pakistan's terrorist organizations, and the Government of India decides to break all ties with them, then he would stand by his country's decision. Gunbhir Singh Sidhu says, "I have no two opinions on this. If there is a country that is also working with us and still such attacks are happening from their side, then this is thankless behaviour. And I do not support it." When asked about why the Punjabi film industry has continued to cast Pakistani actors, despite being banned several times by organisations such as FWICE and IMPPA, the director reiterates that it was not the case always. He says, "That had this been the case always, how would films that have been made in the last four-five years with Pakistani actors ever get a censor certificate? When the censor board is giving clearance, it means that there is no such valid ban. Still, recently, a film like Abir Gulaal got a censor certificate which has big names like Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor, if there was a problem, it would not have been passed by the censor board." After the Pahalgam attack on April 22, 2025, that took the lives of 26 innocent civilians, India responded with Operation Sindoor which was targeted at nine terror hideouts, four in Pakistan and five in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). Pakistani actresses Mahira Khan and Hania Aamir had strongly condemned it on social media. Gunbir Singh Sidhu reacts, "I believe that they should not have made such statements. But I cannot comment more than that. But I would say that those things should not have happened and she hit below the belt." Furthermore, the producer speaks about how much loss Sardaar Ji 3 would incur after its ban in India. He says, "My previous film Jatt and Juliet 3 came out last year which was led by Diljit and Neeru. It was the first Punjabi film to do a business of Rs 100 crore at the worldwide box office. 40% of that came from business in India and 60% overseas. So you assume that we have a business of about 40 crore from India and 60 crore from abroad. In such a situation, it is clear that 40% of our revenue loss has happened." "Now we have taken this decision with full strength that we will not work with any Pakistani artist from now on," concludes the Sardaar Ji 3 producer.

Kareena Kapoor Says Her Bond With Sanjay Leela Bhansali Is ‘Love And War': 'We Are Always Fluctuating'

Kareena Kapoor opens up about her complex bond with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, calling it 'love and war.' Here's what she told Vicky Kaushal in an interview. Kareena Kapoor Khan has always worn her heart on her sleeve, and in a recent interview, she delivered another gem that's now making waves across Bollywood circles. While speaking with actor Vicky Kaushal for The Hollywood Reporter, Kareena opened up about her long and layered relationship with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali—describing it in one pithy, poetic line: 'It is love and war between him and I." The moment came during a conversation about Vicky's upcoming film Love & War, directed by Bhansali and co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. As Vicky spoke about his experience working with the auteur, Kareena interjected with a smile and said, 'I am waiting to see you in the Bhansali film. Of course, he is the Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and Love and War is actually me and Sanjay. You can tell him that. He will understand. We have love and war." Caught off-guard, Vicky chuckled and asked, 'What is it now? Love or war?" Kareena responded with a laugh, 'We are always fluctuating." Her remark not only hinted at an emotional push-and-pull but also revived conversations about the duo's professional history—marked by anticipation, creative disagreements, and a series of near-collaborations that never fully came to fruition. Kareena was initially considered for the role of Paro in Bhansali's Devdas—a part that eventually went to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Years later, she was again linked to Bhansali's Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, but exited the project before filming began. Despite the missed opportunities, both have maintained a quiet admiration for each other's craft, albeit from a distance. Bhansali, known for his opulent storytelling and emotional depth, is now returning to the romance genre with Love & War. The film is slated for a 2026 release and marks his first major theatrical venture since the Netflix series Heeramandi. With a lead cast featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, the film is poised to be another cinematic epic, steeped in themes of passion, sacrifice, and emotional tumult.
