110 Days of Widespread Zionist Aggression on Jenin
Jenin - (Saba):
The Media Committee in Jenin Refugee Camp reported that Israeli occupation forces continue their large-scale aggression against the city of Jenin and its refugee camp for the 110th consecutive day, amid ongoing raids and an escalation in bulldozing and destruction operations.
In a statement issued on Friday, the committee said that the occupation forces have turned the UNRWA girls' school into a military base, placing their equipment, bedding, and food inside it, and vandalizing its classrooms and hallways.
The committee also noted that plumes of smoke rose near Al-Aseer Mosque on the outskirts of Jenin Camp after the occupation forces set fire to the area.
It explained that the enemy is imposing a complete closure on the camp, preventing access or the return of displaced residents, while continuing destruction and bulldozing operations aimed at altering its structure and features.
According to preliminary estimates, the occupation has completely demolished 600 homes in the camp, while the rest of the houses have suffered partial damage.
The committee pointed out that the Israeli army continues to deploy reinforcements toward the camp and its surroundings. The city witnesses daily deployments of infantry units across several neighborhoods, while families in the camp — along with hundreds from the city and surrounding areas — remain forcibly displaced. The number of displaced persons has now exceeded 22,000.
Since the aggression began on January 21, 43 Palestinians have been martyred, and 3,250 housing units have been either completely or partially destroyed or burned. Additionally, 93 residential buildings containing around 300 housing units are under threat of demolition.
The ongoing aggression has also caused water and electricity outages, severe shortages in food and basic needs for children, and the suspension of schools and health services in the camp. Many homes have been converted into military outposts, and 342 Palestinians have been arrested, with dozens subjected to field interrogations.
The committee reported that the Israeli army has conducted 959 house raids in Jenin city and camp, along with 15 airstrikes on various targets.
The committee called for continued exposure of the occupation's escalating violations, support for displaced people, and efforts to meet their needs amid the humanitarian catastrophe caused by the aggression.
