
MP Salim Sayegh says Kataeb Party backs ‘sovereign' candidates in municipal elections
MP Salim Sayegh said Friday that the Kataeb Party's municipal election alliances are built around candidates committed to a 'new and sovereign' approach.
Speaking to LBCI, Sayegh stressed the need to place Palestinian camps under Lebanese state authority, calling for coordination between the Lebanese army and the Palestinian Authority.
He added that while municipal and parliamentary elections differ, local councils have a direct impact on national political choices.
