Rapper Fivio Foreign has accepted a plea deal in a terroristic threats case.
The Brooklyn, New York-based rapper pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree terroristic threats for making a threatening statement, reportedly during an unspecified January incident.
Foreign, real name Maxie Lee Ryles III, had been detained in a New Jersey jail on four related gun charges. Those charges were dropped in exchange for the guilty plea, Ryles' attorney Adam Lustberg confirmed to USA TODAY on May 29, and probation will be recommended at the time of his sentencing.
Lustberg said although the sentencing is set for Aug. 1, "there is a likelihood it will be held much sooner once everyone is ready."
"We are very happy with this outcome in light of the facts of this case and the charges that he was originally facing," he continued.

The 35-year-old rapper's gun charges included aggravated assault and illegal possession of a weapon, Variety and XXL Mag reported.
Foreign first gained popularity with the 2019 platinum single "Big Drip," which led to a remix with Lil Baby and Quavo. He also boasts Billboard Hot 100 singles with Drake, for the Canadian rapper's 2020 track "Demons," as well as Playboi Carti and Ye, for the 2021 "Donda" single "Off the Grid" and his 2022 certified gold track "City of Gods" with Ye and Alicia Keys.
