Chic & Thoughtful: Affordable Luxury Gift Hampers for Teachers
From guiding young minds to shaping future leaders, teachers do far more than just follow a curriculum—they inspire, support, and care every single day. As the school year winds down or a milestone is reached, it's only natural to want to give something back. That's where gift hampers for teachers come in—elegant, personalized, and surprisingly affordable, they're the perfect token of appreciation that combines thoughtfulness with a touch of luxury.
Why Gift Hampers Make the Perfect Teacher Present
Gift hampers strike the ideal balance between indulgence and practicality. They're not just a gift—they're an experience. Whether filled with gourmet snacks, artisanal chocolates, herbal teas, or soothing bath products, a beautifully curated hamper offers variety and feels like a mini celebration. Teachers receive so many mugs and stationery items; a hamper is a refreshing and much more personal surprise.
Affordable Doesn't Mean Basic
The word 'luxury' often implies a hefty price tag, but today's gifting market offers stunning options that are high in quality without being high in cost. From boutique-style packaging to thoughtfully selected contents, it's easy to create a memorable gift hamper on a budget. Look for options that focus on quality over quantity—such as small-batch chocolates, eco-friendly candles, or organic treats. Presentation also plays a big role: tissue paper, ribbons, and handwritten notes elevate the entire experience.
Customization Makes It Extra Special
The beauty of a hamper lies in its flexibility. You can tailor the contents to suit the personality and preferences of a specific teacher. A tea lover? Include a variety of soothing blends with a pretty infuser. A wellness advocate? Opt for a spa-inspired hamper with bath bombs and essential oils. The more personal your selections, the more meaningful the gesture becomes. Many local shops and online stores even offer customization options to help you craft something truly unique.
Supporting Small Businesses While Gifting Big
When you choose locally sourced or handmade items, you're not only giving a thoughtful gift but also supporting independent artisans and small businesses. Many affordable luxury hampers are packed with products made with care—like handmade jams, artisan soaps, or locally roasted coffee—making the gift even more special. It's a win-win for everyone involved.
When to Give and How to Present
The end of term, Teacher Appreciation Week, Christmas, or even just a surprise 'thank you' moment—there's never a wrong time to show gratitude. Presentation matters too: opt for reusable baskets, eco-friendly boxes, or even sleek tote bags to house your hamper. Adding a handwritten card with a heartfelt message goes a long way in making the gesture feel personal and genuine.
The Perfect Thank You, Wrapped with Care
In a world full of quick fixes and generic gifts, a well-thought-out hamper stands out. It says, 'I appreciate you,' with charm, elegance, and care. Whether you're a parent, student, or fellow colleague, giving a thank you teacher hamper is a memorable way to show gratitude. Thoughtful doesn't have to be expensive—and with the right mix of items and presentation, you'll be giving a gift that not only delights but leaves a lasting impression.
Give thanks with purpose, style, and heart—one chic hamper at a time.

Publix starts selling one of its holiday Pub Subs early, meaning right now
Christmas in July? Who knew there was a trend? Apparently, there are numerous ways to do a mid-year replication of the winter Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays by playing seasonal music, decorating the office with trees and ornaments festooned with summery things and creating playlists of holiday songs. Guess it's a way to pretend the Florida heat isn't overbearing or to get a jump start on the holidays. Publix got into the holiday spirit with the 'Christmas in July' early release of its traditional Turkey Cranberry Holiday Sub. 'For the first time ever, Publix brings back this beloved sub outside of the typical holiday season to spread cheer,' the Lakeland-based supermarket chain says on its website. 'Bringing it back in July is our way of adding a little joy to the summer season,' said Publix spokeswoman Lindsey Willis in an email to the Miami Herald. 'It's Christmas in July at Publix, and we're thrilled to surprise our fans with a sweet and savory favorite — while supplies last.' Willis couldn't say how long the perky Pub Sub will be at Publix delis, probably as long as supplies hold out. Or demand. The Turkey Cranberry Holiday Sub will return in the fall once the promotion winds down. The sub has been one of the grocer's annual hits for more than a decade. Here's what's in the Turkey Cranberry Holiday Sub. Your choice of sub roll. A new soft white Pub Sub roll was introduced in February so this would be your first chance to taste the holiday specialty without a mouth-crunching Head Ovengold Roasted Turkey Cranberry Orange Head Precooked Head Smoked Gruyere Cheese. Pair the holiday Pub Sub with a dessert scoop from one of Publix's limited edition 2025 summer ice creams — Freedom Berry Bliss, Home Run Caramel Popcorn or Strawberry Lime Chilly — for a real Florida-style 'Christmas in July' taste combo.

Free Raising Cane's for National Chicken Finger Day 2025: How to get deal
National Chicken Finger Day is this Sunday, July 27, and fast food chain Raising Cane's has a freebie offer for customers to celebrate the occasion. The company said in a news release on July 16 that it is offering a free chicken finger to all customers who purchase a Box Combo on July 27. This marks the first time the company is making the deal available to all customers and not just Caniac Club loyalty members, the company said. The restaurant chain created the fictional holiday in 2010 and even trademarked the phrase "National Chicken Finger Day" in 2019, according to a news release, and touts that it has given away more than 150,000 chicken fingers on the day alone. Raising Cane's says it has over 900 locations in more than 40 states, and plans to open more than 100 new restaurants "across several new markets" in 2025. New Raising Cane's locations: Raising Cane's is opening 5 restaurants next month. Did your state make the list? When is National Chicken Finger Day? National Chicken Finger Day, which is Sunday, July 27, is an unofficial holiday created by Todd Graves, the founder of Raising Cane's, in 2010 to "recognize and celebrate (the chain's) delicious chicken fingers," the company says on its website. (The event is not to be confused with National Chicken Wing Day, which is Tuesday, July 29.) The chain has tapped rap legend Snoop Dogg to help spread the word about National Chicken Finger Day this year. The rapper will feature in a Christmas-in-July-themed ad spot where he rolls up in a Cadillac sleigh and swaps "ho ho ho" for "yo yo yo" while delivering chicken fingers. Are any other restaurant chains celebrating National Chicken Finger Day? While Wing Stop is not offering any deals or discounts on the day, the chain announced on July 24 that it had filed an application to trademark the phrase "National Chicken Tender Day," which it says is on July 27, in an apparent jab at Raising Cane's. 'Some say that chicken fingers, strips and tenders are the same, but Wingstop isn't buying it,' said Wingstop's Chief Revenue Officer, Mark Christenson, in a news release. "By filing a trademark application to register 'National Chicken Tender Day,' Wingstop is giving the finger to fingers and staking our claim on our distinctive crispy tenders that fans crave.' Meanwhile, Orlando-based restaurant chain Huey Magoo's is also celebrating National Chicken Finger Day by giving away five free Tender Bites with the purchase of any three-piece or larger Tender Meal on July 27. Watch live: What's next for Wanamaker Organ at the former Philadelphia Macy's store?
It's Christmas in July, and what better place to celebrate it than the Wanamaker Building, home of Philadelphia's best-known holiday events? At 10 a.m., several local officials are gathering at the building on Market Street for "a special announcement about the future of some of Philadelphia's most beloved holiday traditions." CBS News Philadelphia will livestream this announcement. You can watch in the player above or anywhere else CBS News Philadelphia is streaming. The heads of the Philadelphia Visitor Center and Opera Philadelphia will be there, as will the Executive Director of the Friends of the Wanamaker Organ and Councilmember Mark Squilla. The organ and Grand Court, which features a one-ton bronze statue of a perched eagle, are designated National Historic Landmarks and are also on the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places — they are required to be preserved. The building is well known for its Christmas Light Show narrated by Julie Andrews, and the Dickens Village walk-through display that Macy's had acquired from Strawbridge's. TF Cornerstone, a New York-based developer, previously announced plans to build 600 loft-style apartments above the retail space in the Wanamaker Building. Once the home of Wanamaker's department store, the retail area was most recently occupied by Macy's before the company announced in January 2025 that it would be closing the store. The Philadelphia Visitor Center and Friends of the Wanamaker Organ have been collecting donations in order to install, operate and staff the light show and Dickens Village for the 2025 holiday season.
