CSAS portal: Wait for admission to DU may end soon
New Delhi: The wait for admission into undergraduate programmes for the academic session 2025-26 in Delhi University's colleges may soon come to an end. Under DU's admission process, the first phase (Common Seat Allocation System – CSAS portal) has not yet been launched. As a result, the university was unable to initiate the admission process. As per sources, the launch may now take place on Tuesday. Last year, the process began by the end of May. Under this process, 85,000 seats across 79 undergraduate programmes in 69 colleges are to be filled. A DU official said preparations are underway to begin the application process in the upcoming week. The admission process is yet to start as CUET data from the National Testing Agency (NTA) is yet to be received, according to the official. The second phase of the admission process begins only after the CUET results are declared. Currently, since the first phase itself has not started, the delay in CUET results is likely to further push back admissions. The CUET results are expected by June 30. It is in the second phase that students are allotted seats. With the delay in the admission process, the start of the academic session is also likely to be postponed. The initial phase requires applicants to provide only basic personal and academic information, upload essential documents—such as category, EWS, or PwD certificates—and verify their CUET scores, which are already linked to their profiles.
