4 Crypto Stocks to Ride Bitcoin's Bullish Surge to New Highs
Bitcoin has reached a new all-time high, surpassing $111,000.
Several crypto-related stocks may gain in the short term from Bitcoin's rise.
But are all of these stocks still good investments?

After months of waiting, Bitcoin has finally hit new record highs, reaching about $111,900.
BTC/USD first hit a high of $109,874 in the late afternoon, then dropped to $106,200 an hour later, before climbing again to reach today's new peak.
Many analysts believe this sudden rise is due to growing concerns about the US Dollar and government debt. Last Friday, Moody's downgraded the US credit rating, which triggered a wave of doubt in the market.
With President Donald Trump pushing for big spending and tax cuts, there is little hope that the situation will improve soon.
This uncertainty is showing up in rising US interest rates and a falling Dollar Index—a rare combination that signals declining trust in the US economy.
So, Bitcoin is rising not because investors feel hopeful, but because the current instability is making it look more like a safe-haven asset. More companies are now treating Bitcoin as a long-term store of value and adding it to their balance sheets.
However, the cautious tone in the broader stock market is unlikely to stop several crypto-related stocks from reacting positively to Bitcoin's new all-time high during Thursday's session.
Strategy (NASDAQ:MSTR)(ex-MicroStrategy), Coinbase (NASDAQ:COIN), Riot Platforms (NASDAQ:RIOT), and Marathon Digital (NASDAQ:MARA) all posted gains in after-hours trading on Wednesday and will be worth watching closely on Thursday.
That said, these stocks are not necessarily the top picks in the tech sector right now. In fact, we have grouped them into an InvestingPro watchlist, which currently shows a mixed outlook.
Indeed, according to InvestingPro's Fair Value—which combines several well-known financial models—most of these stocks appear overvalued, with the exception of Riot Platforms.
For instance, Coinbase is currently overvalued by nearly 25% based on its Fair Value estimate.
Meanwhile, Marathon Digital, Riot Platforms, and MicroStrategy all have below-average health scores.
On the brighter side, analysts' price targets suggest strong upside potential for Riot Platforms (+69.7%) and MicroStrategy (+38.3%).
Overall, while these stocks offer a way to gain exposure to Bitcoin through the stock market, investors should keep in mind that ETFs now offer a more direct route—and may want to explore other opportunities in the tech sector as well.

ECB expected to cut rates again as Trump trade war rumbles on
The European Central Bank is expected to deliver its seventh-straight interest rate cut this week as US President Donald Trump's volatile trade policies add to headwinds for the sluggish eurozone. Even before Trump unleashed his on-off tariff onslaught on the world, the ECB had been bringing borrowing costs down as inflation eased. Worries about sluggish performance in the 20 countries that use the euro have increasingly overshadowed inflation concerns as higher rates have pinched businesses and households. Trump's tariffs have added to the sense of urgency. Europe is in the president's crosshairs over its hefty surplus in traded goods with United States, stoking fears about a heavy hit to the continent's exporters. Predicting a cut when the ECB's governing council meets Thursday, HSBC said the eurozone's "near-term outlook has deteriorated on the recent US tariffs announcements and related uncertainty". Analysts expect another quarter-point reduction that would take the Frankfurt-based institution's key deposit rate to two percent. But observers believe the June cut could be the final one in the current streak, with the ECB likely to pause at its next meeting in July to take stock of the latest economic developments. The ECB's series of cuts stands in contrast to the US Federal Reserve, which has kept rates on hold recently amid fears that Trump's levies could stoke inflation. - Global order 'fracturing' - Trump has already hit the EU with multiple waves of tariffs -- it currently faces a 10-percent "baseline" levy as well as 25-percent duties on cars, steel and aluminium. He has paused even higher rates on the EU and other trading partners to allow for talks, momentarily easing some of the tensions that had roiled global markets. But in a sign the trade war may be far from over, he threatened last month to swiftly impose a 50-percent tariff on the EU -- only to delay the move a few days later to July 9. Highlighting the alarm felt in Europe, ECB President Christine Lagarde said last week that the global economic order backed by US leadership was "fracturing". "Multilateral cooperation is being replaced by zero-sum thinking and bilateral power plays," she said in a speech in Berlin. But the ECB faces a tricky task in protecting the eurozone from the mercurial US president's trade policies while keeping inflation stable. Euro-area inflation was 2.2 percent in April, slightly above the ECB's two-percent target and higher than expected. May's inflation estimate will be published by Eurostat on Tuesday ahead of the ECB meeting. But most recent signs suggest price pressures are easing faster than previously thought, and the ECB is expected to cut its inflation predictions when it releases its own new economic forecasts Thursday. - Downward pressure - Most analysts expect Trump's tariffs to add to downward pressure on eurozone inflation, particularly as it might lead China -- facing the highest US levies -- to redirect inexpensive manufactured goods to Europe. The ECB is expected to cut its growth estimates Thursday due to the impact of the trade war, after the EU slashed its forecasts last month. While investors will be on the lookout for any clues from Lagarde about the ECB's next move, analysts warn that heightened uncertainty means she will give little away. The meeting will likely also produce questions over the future next moves for Lagarde. The former head of the World Economic Forum Klaus Schwab told The Financial Times last week that he had spoken with Lagarde about her taking over as head of the organisation. The ECB brushed away the rumours, saying Lagarde was "determined" to see out her term at the helm of the central bank. sr/sea/rmb/dhw

Evaluating Why Giants Shouldn't Trade for Kyle Pitts
Evaluating Why Giants Shouldn't Trade for Kyle Pitts originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The New York Giants will enter the 2025 season with one of the league's weakest tight end rooms. That isn't necessarily an indictment of second-year tight end Theo Johnson's potential or Chris Manhertz's effectiveness as a blocker. But with little proven talent in the passing game, it is among the team's biggest questions. Advertisement That lends itself to speculation when high-profile targets become available at that position. Recently, the rumor mill has revolved around Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts. As he enters a contract year, now three seasons removed from his lone 1,000-yard season, a change of scenery feels necessary. Some feel that New York is primed to provide that pivot. The Giants shouldn't trade for the 2021 first-round tight end, though, despite the weakness on the depth chart. 'Are the Giants in a position to pay for immediate help? They may be short on salary cap space, but Pitts' appeal, at age 24, is that he could also stick around for the long term,' Cody Benjamin wrote for CBS Sports. 'Head coach Brian Daboll would surely be OK pairing the big man with Malik Nabers, giving Russell Wilson an added safety valve for an offense sorely lacking secondary playmakers over the last few years. Assuming this link-up would extend beyond 2025, Pitts' arrival would also bode well for Jaxson Dart, the presumptive quarterback of the future.' Advertisement Cap implications aside, New York isn't a fit for Pitts. For one, Pitts is among 14 tight ends set to make over $10 million in 2025. There's a decent argument that he's worse than all of them, along with a few more on rookie deals. If the Giants believe Johnson is taking any type of significant leap in the coming months, then they inherently believe he'll be better than Pitts, anyway. In Daboll's offense, Pitts profiles as a rotational player, too. Pitts is a receiver in a tight end's frame, often playing in the slot and rarely blocking successfully. He's supposed to be able to stretch the field, sure, but is he doing that at the expense of receiver Wan'Dale Robinson in the slot? The best version of Pitts isn't as a safety valve. It's as a downfield threat operating as a receiver. That makes it awfully hard to coexist with Johnson, who the regime clearly likes, and it would take away from the versatility that Johnson's blocking flashes allow New York to tap into. Between injuries and inconsistencies, Pitts has descended into disappointment. There's a world in which he blossoms for another team, but neither the Giants' scheme nor timeline suggests that jump will come in East Rutherford.
