Japanese porn star involved in THE BOYZ controversy breaks silence on Ju Haknyeon's prostitution allegations
THE BOYZ's Ju Haknyeon has been removed from the K-pop group over his alleged ties with Japanese adult video actor Asuka Kirara. His agency, One Hundred, confirmed on June 18 that they're moving forward as a 10-member act after terminating Ju's contract, following media reports that had exploded online. In response, Ju dropped a handwritten note shutting down the allegations and filed both civil and criminal complaints against the agency for what he called an unfair removal. Now, for the first time, Asuka Kirara has spoken up, and she's made it clear: she never took money for sex, not from Haknyeon, not from anyone.

On June 20, Asuka tweeted straight from her X handle, addressing the controversy head-on. While everyone online had something to say, she pointed out that the Japanese tabloid Shūkan Bunshun hadn't even published its article yet. Kirara claimed someone at the bar that night took a photo and sold it off. 'There are a lot of speculations going around, but the Shūkan Bunshun article hasn't come out yet. Please don't spread false information. I have never once in my life engaged in paid sex acts (prostitution) in private. Of course, this time too. A woman who was there for the first time seemed to like Haknyeon, so she had her photo taken and sold to Bunshun,' she said, as translated by Koreaboo.
A day after his removal from THE BOYZ was made public, Ju dropped a separate note, making it clear he never ended the contract from his side. He claimed the agency demanded a hefty amount from him as compensation for damages, even though, in his words, he wasn't involved in anything illegal to begin with. Ju said he's taking legal action against the agency and all media outlets pushing false stories about him, and has already filed both criminal and civil lawsuits. Earlier, Haknyeon admitted in a handwritten letter that yes, he was at the Tokyo gathering on May 30, but denied any illegal activity, calling all prostitution claims baseless and damaging. 'I want to hold the agency accountable for kicking me out without reason. And I'll go all the way to reveal the truth. I hope this gives someone out there a little hope,' he said. 'If there is evidence of prostitution, please disclose it to me immediately. Also, I have never left the team and have never agreed to the termination of my exclusive contract.'

Born in 1988, Asuka started her AV career in 2007. She has a huge fan base in Korea and has won several major awards as well. In fact, she held fan meets in Seoul in 2017 and 2018 and even bagged a Korean Arts & Culture award in 2023 under the Overseas Model category. But this isn't the first time she's been linked to a celebrity. Back in the day, she was said to have dated Hey! Say! JUMP's Inoo Kei after the two were photographed in Singapore. His agency quickly denied it, and Kirara's team backed the denial. In 2024, Asuka went public with a relationship with Hilock, a YouTuber who is 12 years younger than her. They never publicly broke up, so now fans are divided—are they still together? And does Ju really have nothing to do with any of this? On the other hand, the K-pop star has said he waited a long time for the truth to come out, referring to his hiatus that the agency earlier claimed was due to personal reasons. But now, he feels like he'll have to fight for it.

Ex-THE BOYZ's Ju Haknyeon sues journalist for false claims over meeting Japanese AV actress Kirara Asuka
Trigger Warning: This article contains mention of prostitution and adult content. THE BOYZ member Ju Haknyeon is currently facing harsh consequences for meeting a former p*rnstar at a club in Japan. His agency, ONE HUNDRED, unilaterally terminated his contract and removed him from the group. Adding on to his distress, a report by K-media TenAsia alleged that he engaged in pr*stitution with the AV actress Kirara Asuka. The artist reverted by suing the article writer on June 20, as reported by Allkpop. Ju Haknyeon files defamation suit against journalist Ju Haknyeon previously probed legal action against label ONE HUNDRED for arbitrarily removing him from THE BOYZ without his consent. Following that, he filed a defamation complaint against TenAsia journalist Choi Ji Ye under South Korea's Information and Communications Network Act. The lawsuit was filed on the charges of spreading misinformation regarding his meeting with Kirara Asuka, which caused great harm to his public image. According to the report, Ju Haknyeon initially denied allegations of misconduct but later admitted to them when presented with evidence by his agency. Consequently, ONE HUNDRED terminated Ju Haknyeon's exclusive contract, citing investigation findings leading to a breach of trust. How did speculations of Ju Haknyeon and Kirara Asuka's alleged pr*stitution start? The issue stemmed from Japanese outlet Shukan Bunshun obtaining photos showing Ju Haknyeon and Kirara Asuka in close proximity, displaying skinship, including hugging and the model resting her chin on his shoulder. It was during their meeting along with some acquaintances in a private bar in Tokyo's Roppongi district on May 29. Though Ju Haknyeon admitted to the meet-up, he denied engaging in any unlawful acts with her. Besides him, Kirara Asuka also refuted the "misinformation" spread against them through a post on X (formerly Twitter). In case, they are actually proven to have engaged in paid physical intimacy, they can end up facing legal consequences. As per the South Korean law, a penalty of 3 million KRW and up to one year prison sentence can be levied on both its citizens as well as on individuals of other nationalities involved with a Korean citizen.

BTS' RM says he gets ‘really jealous' when he listens to great albums: ‘I just can't be objective'
BTS' RM, aka Kim Namjoon, is back with his band as they plan a reunion after their military discharge. Amid this excitement for the bad members and their fans, RM, in a recent chat, spoke about his affair with art, and admitted that he experiences the feeling of jealousy when he listens to albums from fellow musicians. He also spoke about his Instagram feed and said that it has nothing to do with politics, and looks like a curated art gallery. With burnout and setbacks that inevitably came after over a decade of life in the spotlight, RM said he once stumbled into Chicago's Art Institute during a tour stop and found himself utterly floored. 'Just the idea popped into my head: why don't I go to the museum and see some Monet or Van Gogh?' he recalled in a chat shared on Samsung Newsroom's YouTube channel. 'I was shocked to see all of those textures.' he continued, 'My mental peace is that I don't get jealous [of fine art]… I find peace because my drawing sucks and I'm not good at it at all,' prompting some chuckles from the crowd. But the rapper admitted that when he's listening to brilliant albums from fellow musicians, he gets jealous. He said, 'Like sometimes when I listen to like, great musicians' albums, I get really jealous and I just can't be objective.' He said that this was why he turned elsewhere for escape. 'I don't get jealous of art,' he said. 'I just get peace.' 'Art makes me happy,' he said, wrapping up the conversation, adding he dreams of building his own space in Seoul to bridge East and West, old and new.
