Indian Cricket Teams Chat With Idris Elba At King Charles' Home, Video Goes Viral

Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant, and Jasprit Bumrah met English actor Idris Elba and King Charles III in London, discussing cricket.
India's Test captain Shubman Gill and his deputy Rishabh Pant, besides ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah, were on Tuesday seen interacting with English actor and kickboxer Idris Elba, who had a heart-to-heart chat with the Indian cricketers, who had travelled to King Charles' London home for a meet and greet.
The 76-year-old British Monarch spent a considerable time discussing cricket with Indian cricketers, a meeting that Gill termed as 'amazing" during his chat with the media.
Gill spoke about the tremendous support that his side always gets from the Indian diaspora whenever it plays in the United Kingdom.
'I saw you guys in the garden and I was like Yo! It's a real pleasure meeting you. Yes, please," Elba said in his customary style while interacting with Gill and his team. Watch the video here:
'Hi, nice to meet you. How are you doing?" Elba interacted with Harmanpreet Kaur and her team as well.
Meanwhile, King Charles III felt Mohammed Siraj's dismissal was an 'unfortunate one" and could not help but ask Gill about it as he welcomed India's men's and women's cricket teams in the gardens of Clarence House in London.
Indian High Commissioner to the UK Vikram Doraiswami and Deputy High Commissioner Sujit Ghosh, along with Congress Rajya Sabha MP and BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla and secretary Devajit Saikia, were present as well.
'It was amazing. I think he (King Charles) is very kind and generous… we had some really good conversations," Gill said after the meet and greet.
On Monday, India lost a close Test by 22 runs with the last batter, Siraj, getting bowled off England off-spinner Shoaib Bashir's ball. The delivery trickled back to clip the bails after Siraj played a defensive stroke.
'He (The King) did tell us that the way our last batter got out was quite unfortunate, the ball rolling onto the stumps. And he was just asking us, 'How did you feel after that?' And we told him it was an unfortunate match for us… but hopefully, we'll have better luck in both the next games," Gill said.
