NewJeans Might Return To ADOR If This One Demand Is Met

News1825-07-2025
NewJeans' feud with ADOR began after an internal audit was conducted against Min Hee Jin by HYBE back in April last year.
Following months of a feud and a lawsuit, NewJeans, also known as NJZ, has shared that they are open to returning to their former agency, ADOR, only on one condition. This unexpected turn occurred during the third hearing of ADOR's case, which sought to validate their contract with the girl group, on Thursday, July 24, at the Seoul Central District Court's Civil Agreement Division 41.
At the hearing, the legal representative of NewJeans, comprising Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein, hinted that they might return to the agency only if ADOR is restored to how it was before April 2024. 'It's not that the members absolutely refuse to return," said the lawyer, as quoted by Allkpop. 'If ADOR were restored to the state it was when the members first trusted it, they would return even without being asked," NewJeans' side added.
Their representative further highlighted that the agency is now under the control of HYBE, the South Korean entertainment giant behind groups like BTS and TXT. 'The current ADOR is like a phone with its SIM card replaced, completely different, and now under HYBE's control. So, they cannot go back," the group's side shared, emphasising their willingness to return only if ADOR's former CEO, Min Hee Jin, is reinstated.
Their representative further added, 'The current ADOR is filled with HYBE executives following Min Hee Jin's dismissal. The ADOR that the members trusted and signed with no longer exists. Today's ADOR is not the same ADOR that wholeheartedly supported the members when the contracts were signed."
ADOR's Reaction To NewJeans' Condition
During the same hearing, the agency argued that the reason behind NewJeans' termination of their exclusive contracts keeps 'changing". ADOR said, 'The individual reasons for termination raised by the defendants are unjustified. We will submit detailed explanations in writing before the next hearing."
All About The Dispute Between ADOR And NewJeans
The primary reason behind the conflict between ADOR and NewJeans stems from an internal audit conducted by HYBE in April 2024 against Min Hee Jin. The audit accused the former CEO of trying to take over ADOR and alleged that she tried to 'steal" NewJeans. 'Although there were claims of a hostile takeover and allegations of 'attempt to steal NewJeans,' none of these were listed as a reason for Min Hee Jin's dismissal at the time," said NewJeans' side.
Sharing that the group suffered the most in the fight between Min Hee Jin and HYBE, their lawyer added, 'Just ten days ago, in a separate case filed by HYBE, police concluded after a thorough investigation that Min Hee Jin's actions were part of her duties as ADOR's CEO and did not constitute a breach of trust. The case was dropped without indictment."
A closed-door mediation session regarding the case is scheduled for August 14. If the mediation fails, the court will share its judgment on October 30, almost a year after NewJeans unilaterally terminated their contract with ADOR.

‘I'm ready to fight': South Korean tourist brings masks to India after seeing dusty images online

An Indian content creator has sparked online conversation after sharing a video with his South Korean friend, who brought multiple masks and old clothes during a trip to India — all because of what he saw on Google Images back home. A tourist from South Korea arrived in India carrying masks after coming across images depicting heavy dust and pollution during an online search.(Instagram/kaash_chaudhary) (Also read: Seoul train inferno: Man sets fire to moving subway over divorce, passengers flee in panic in viral video) The Instagram video, shared by user Akash Chaudhary, captures a candid moment between the two as they enjoy local food somewhere in India. In the clip, Chaudhary explains, 'My friend from South Korea brought so many masks and old clothes with him to India.' The reason, he reveals, is rooted in what the Korean traveller saw online before his visit. "Google images show this image of India" According to Chaudhary, his friend searched for 'Indo' on Google while still in South Korea, and the search results showed images dominated by dust and pollution. The video even shows the Korean national scrolling through those very images on his phone, supporting his claim. Reacting to the unexpected preparedness, Chaudhary asks him, 'That's why you bring so many masks?' With a quick wit and humour, the South Korean man replies, 'I'm ready to fight.' Watch the clip here: The reel was posted with the caption, 'Google Images show this Image of India in South Korea,' and has since gone viral, racking up more than 2.6 million views. Mixed reactions pour in The video has triggered several reactions from users, with many divided over whether to laugh, feel concerned, or defend India's global image. One user wrote, 'This is hilarious but also quite sad. We seriously need to work on how the world sees us.' Another commented, 'Masks for India? It's not that bad everywhere. Come to the mountains, bro.' A viewer said, 'This shows how stereotypes shape perception. Not cool.' Another added, 'Google isn't lying. We all know how bad pollution can get in some cities.' One user chimed in, 'He came prepared like he's going to war, not a holiday,' while another wrote, 'I'd do the same if I saw those images before travelling.' Some defended the country, saying, 'India is so much more than what Google shows. Sad he didn't look beyond the images.'

EL CAPITXN calls SUGA his ‘unrequited love', reveals BTS member's hilarious reaction to ‘I love you' drunk text

SUGA is known to be kind towards his friends, but not overly affectionate. In fact, the occasions where he has initiated skipship towards fellow BTS members are very rare to find. That does not mean he's not close to them, however. One to choose words for expressing his fondness, fans are aware of how he dotes over his close people. Among many, one of his well-known friendships outside his team is with DJ and record producer EL CAPITXN. During a recent livestream, Jang Yijeong replied to a fan's comment about hugging his bestie Min Yoongi, declaring his unrequited love for him. EL CAPITXN's unrequited love for SUGA When a fan told EL CAPITXN that they loved SUGA more than they loved him, and asked him to hug the rapper in their stead, thanking him for taking care of the star, he said, 'Every time I do it, it takes me a lot of courage to hug Yoongi because he doesn't really like such actions (skinship). He's not fond of being touched by others. So, I'd have to muster up the courage to hug him each time. One time when I was drunk, I sent him a text message saying: 'Yoongi, I love you' but I didn't get a good response," breaking into a fit of laughter. Adding how his one-sided love for the BTS star was tough, he made a remark, 'That's how life is, isn't it?' Same-aged friends, EL CAPITXN, even joined SUGA on his D-DAY tour as a DJ, where he had the opportunity to showcase his skills and declare his love, a sight deeply enjoyed by fans. EL CAPITXN, being an in-house producer at HYBE, has credits in many songs of BTS, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ENHYPEN, and SEVENTEEN as well as outside artists including SUNMI, Eric Nam, PLAVE, tripleS, NCT U, BAEKHYUN, ZEROBASEONE, ARTMS, Doyoung, UNIS, STAY C, Jung Yong Hwa, Paul Kim, NOWZ, WHIB, BEWAVE, and Melody Day. Recently, he was also involved in the creation of the group AHOF, for which he has written multiple songs. Notably, he has also contributed in many tracks for SUGA, including Daechwita, Life Goes On and more on his D-2 and D-Day albums.
