Iran ‘rapidly losing' ability to fire missiles into Israel

Sky News AU4 hours ago

Strategic Analysis Australia Director Peter Jennings says the Iranian regime is 'rapidly losing' its ability to launch missiles against Israel.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is urging the Chinese Communist Party to discourage Iran from blocking the Strait of Hormuz, a key shipping lane that is vital to the global economy.
'The key question is, what connections does it have with its network of proxy groups?' Mr Jennings told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
'It's just not clear to me at this stage how much command-and-control capacity the regime has got left because Israel did such an effective job of destroying that in the first 10 days of the campaign.'

‘Wouldn't make sense' for Russia to support Iran in escalating conflict with Israel

Former IDF spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Conricus discusses the meeting between Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Russian President Vladimir Putin. 'The interesting statement that apparently was released by the Kremlin is that Russia seeks to support the Iranian people, that's an interesting statement,' Mr Conricus told Sky News host Sharri Markson. 'It wouldn't make sense for the Russians to invest resources that they apparently don't have a lot of after one of their allies that is apparently not doing very well on the battlefield.'

‘Final decision': How Trump's Operation Midnight Hammer unfolded

Sky News host Sharri Markson unpacks how the United States' Operation Midnight Hammer unfolded. 'Trump was on Marine One, flying over New Jersey when he took a call from Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, he said it was time for a final decision on the strikes,' Ms Markson said. 'Once the president gave Hegseth the go ahead he then returned to Washington and called his closest advisers to the White House situation room.'
