Russell Grant's horoscopes as Gemini to have deep desire to give and receive love

Today's horoscope for Friday, July 25 sees one star sign recognising life is hectic, while another finds an unexpected request gives them a chance to get involved in a team effort. Today's daily horoscopes for each star sign can be found below. These daily forecasts have been compiled by astrologer Russell Grant who has been reading star signs for more than 50 years. ‌ Aries (Mar 21 - Apr 20) People are naturally attracted to you. If you're in a relationship, your partner will find it hard to resist any request you make of them. If you're single, someone you meet in a park, museum, boutique or fine dining restaurant will become special to you. ‌ Taurus (Apr 21 - May 21) You aren't too enthusiastic about accepting an invitation to a community event. Yet for some reason you feel obliged to go. As it is, you will be glad of this chance to get involved in group activities. Someone with a wonderful sense of humour will brighten your day. ‌ Gemini (May 22 - June 21) A talented friend will encourage you to explore new ways to enhance your skills and knowledge. Some daily exercise will be both invigorating and enjoyable. Take this chance to take part in unusual or spontaneous activities. You have a deep desire to give and receive love. Cancer (June 22 - July 23) Life is hectic. Demands and expectations from others are starting to feel overwhelming. You're doing your best to get through a difficult situation but you don't know everything and putting the pieces of this puzzle together isn't easy. You may need help to gain a clearer understanding. Leo (July 24 - Aug 23) A loved one is feeling neglected while you constantly take centre stage. It's time to step back. When socialising, turn your attention to others and turn the spotlight off yourself. Organise a candlelit dinner for two, indulge your partner's sensual side, and watch as any issues in your relationship begin to mend. ‌ Virgo (Aug 24 - Sept 23) You have successfully moved past a difficult stage in your life. You can now focus on what lies ahead and this looks far less problematic. If you've been spending a lot of time alone, making new friends is your next priority. Do some research on social groups in your area. Libra (Sept 24 - Oct 23) An unexpected request gives you a chance to get involved a team effort. There's a lot of work ahead for you, yet this project also makes you feel as if you're doing something useful. You are brimming with energy and enthusiasm and it should be fun to apply your creativity in a hands-on way. Scorpio (Oct 24 - Nov 22) Successful negotiations will give your confidence a boost. Your positive outlook seems to attract new social opportunities without you even trying. You may have to cancel a date in order to attend an important meeting. Additionally, you are looking to contribute some of your time to a meaningful cause. ‌ Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Sagittarius (Nov 23 - Dec 21) A close friend or partner is spending more time with new friends. You would like to join them but you aren't a part of their plans. Don't protest too loudly. Instead, take this as a sign they want more freedom independent of your relationship. If you care for them, give them the space they need. ‌ Capricorn (Dec 22 - Jan 20) The only person you can truly depend on is yourself. A friend or colleague can't seem to understand why you are upset with them. They don't recognise why something is so important to you as it means nothing to them. Take this chance to think about your life and your friendships. Aquarius (Jan 21 - Feb 19) A workplace disagreement will stir up feelings of annoyance and frustration. You're tired of working with someone who insists on keeping to the same methods and routines day after day. You want to challenge the status quo. At least give yourself the freedom to deviate from the norm. Pisces (Feb 20 - Mar 20) Avoid measuring your financial status against that of your friends, neighbours, and coworkers. Those who seem to have it all may actually be struggling with significant debt. Competing with others is a futile effort. If you're facing financial constraints, steer clear of the urge to go on a shopping spree.

Five reasons why Scone Palace is a must-visit for history buffs of all ages

Scone Palace is a historic Scottish site, offering free kids' entry from 30 June to 15 August 2025 One of Scotland's most iconic and historic sites is inviting families to step into centuries of royal tradition and political intrigue with a special ' Kids Go Free' offer running throughout summer. ‌ Located near Perth, Scone Palace is steeped in Scottish history, known not only for its Gothic Revival architecture and beautiful gardens, but for its enduring role in the story of the nation. ‌ The ancestral home of the Earls of Mansfield, the palace remains a living monument to Scotland's royal past. And their Kids Go Free offer runs until August 15. ‌ At the heart of its legend is the Stone of Destiny. For centuries, this sacred coronation stone was housed at Scone, used in the crowning of Scottish monarchs. The site became a symbol of kingship, where rulers were not just enthroned but legitimised by the ancient traditions of the land. ‌ The hill upon which these coronations took place is Moot Hill, often referred to as the 'Hill of Belief'. It remains one of the most significant features of the estate. Visitors can stand atop the hill and pose with a replica of the Stone of Destiny, a rite of passage for future kings and queens in the making. Beyond its royal legacy, Scone also played a powerful political and religious role in medieval Scotland. In 1114, King Alexander I founded an Augustinian priory next to Moot Hill, which was elevated to abbey status in 1169. ‌ During this period, it became a centre of both pilgrimage and influence. Notably, in 1249, the young Alexander III was crowned at Scone, the first Scottish king to be anointed, not just enthroned. A papal bull in 1329 later granted David II the right to be anointed with sacred oil at his coronation, cementing the site's religious importance. ‌ In the turbulent years that followed, Scone remained central to Scottish power. James I, who became king while still a hostage in London, returned to Scotland in 1424 and held his first Act of Parliament at Scone, a decree banning football in favour of archery. His son, James II, later banned golf for the same reason, on pain of a four-pence fine. James IV, one of the last Scottish kings crowned at Scone, marked the shift of royal power to Edinburgh, with the construction of the Palace of Holyroodhouse. ‌ The Reformation brought destruction to Scone Abbey in 1559, when a mob from Dundee burned it down. Though John Knox intervened, the damage was done. The Ruthven family later rebuilt the abbey palace, but their ownership ended in 1600 following a controversial incident involving James VI. The estate was then granted to Sir David Murray of Gospetrie, whose descendants became the Earls of Mansfield. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Since then, Scone Palace has welcomed numerous royal guests, including Queen Victoria in 1842, Queen Elizabeth II, and the Emperor of Japan, showing that its legacy still lives on. Today, the Mansfield family still resides at Scone, preserving the estate and opening its doors to the public as a vital link to Scotland's past. As well as exploring its regal interiors and grand gardens, visitors walk the same paths once trodden by kings, queens, nobles and revolutionaries.

Helen Flanagan shows off her jaw-dropping figure in racy lace lingerie after declaring that she's 'back to normal herself'

Helen Flanagan sent temperatures soaring in sexy lace sheer lingerie as she posed for a sizzling Instagram video on Thursday. The mother-of-three, 34, showed off her jaw-dropping figure in a daring lace pink bra which she teamed with a matching thong and suspenders. Helen looked sensational as she showed off her boob job while modelling the racy lingerie, from her summer edit with Nikki Intimates, sitting on her bed. The TV personality later slipped into a coordinated sheer lace bodysuit which she paired with stockings and suspenders. The soap star wrote: 'Forever a lover girl. Shop my summer edit with @nikkiintimates for the prettiest pieces.' The photo shoot comes after Helen declared that she's 'back to normal herself' and 'living in the Starbucks drive-thru' after the return of her driving licence following a six month ban. Back in January, the ex Corrie actress t old the court her ex boyfriend Robbie Talbot was driving her £66,000 Audi Q7 when it was caught speeding twice. She was subsequently barred from the roads for six months, despite claiming she was struggling financially and would not be able to afford taxis to get her children to school. After being snapped back behind the wheel of her pricey motor last week, a delighted Helen took to her Instagram Stories to update her followers. She gushed: 'I am so happy that I have got my driving licence back, I was nervous at first for like the first ten minutes I was like "It's so weird to be driving again" but now I just absolutely love it'. 'Back to my normal. I feel like I am back to myself now i'm back to the Trafford Centre and back living at the Starbucks drive-thru and I just feel like myself'. In a chaotic social media post last month, Helen complained what a 'pain in the a***' it had been without a car and had been unable to run errands or go shopping for essentials due to living so remotely. Taking to her Instagram Stories she explained her ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) had caused her to mix up paperwork to reapply for her licence, meaning the process would now be delayed further. 'I literally can't tell you what a pain in the a*** not having [my driving licence] because I live in the middle of nowhere, and of course I haven't been driving'. 'It's just been so b****y annoying, for example we are out of loo roll now and I can't pop out to the shops to get loo roll so my friend has to bring me loo roll'. In court Helen said her isolated moorland home meant it was a 10-minute drive even to go to the shops to buy bread and milk, and that she would 'really struggle without a car' in the remote location. The actress, who lives near Bolton, Greater Manchester, said she earned £70,000 last year – but said her income varies and that she could not afford a £10 taxi to take her son to nursery. Prosecutor Stephen Kirk told how Helen, who already had six penalty points for speeding, failed to declare who had been driving the car when it was caught speeding at locations on Merseyside in June last year, doing 42mph in a 30mph limit and 51mph in a 40mph limit. Magistrates gave her six more points for each offence - taking her total to 18 points, well above the 12-point threshold when magistrates normally impose a ban unless there is 'exceptional hardship'. Making her doomed plea to keep her licence, Helen said at the time: 'I am so sorry. I stupidly thought it was acceptable for my boyfriend to explain he was the one driving and it wasn't me.' Helen told the court how she is a 'full-time' mother to children Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and Charlie, three, using the car to take them to nursery, school and activities. She said: 'My job really is being a mum at home. Their dad works away. It's really difficult at the moment now for me to be earning money. I earn money on social media but it kind of varies what I earn.' She added: 'I think there might be a perception maybe that I would easily be able to afford a driver but that's quite far from the case. 'I've got enough money in my account to pay off my tax and my VAT and basically that's about it.' Asked by solicitor, Patrick Boyers, how she takes her son Charlie to his nursery without a car, she said: 'The other way to get Charlie to nursery is by Uber (taxi). That would be really expensive. I'm really struggling at the moment, financially.' Asked by the clerk how much it cost, she said: 'I did get an Uber from my house to the nursery this morning. It cost £10 that time.' She also claimed her son 'doesn't do so well in a taxi' and that he's 'much better strapped into a car where he's safe'.
