Who's up, who's down in the FedEx Cup Playoffs after 18 holes at Wyndham Championship?

Who moved up in the projected FedEx Cup Playoff standings?
There was no movement in or out of the top 30, which guarantees golfers a spot in the Tour Championship. But there some changes as it pertains to the top-50 cutoff.
Joel Dahmen had the biggest jump up, as his first-round 61 on Thursday vaulted him from No. 101 all the way to No. 48, a leap of 53 spots.
"I mean, I've had like three top-2s in my career. I don't know, four of 'em maybe? I mean, it's not even a thing, right?," he pondered after his first round. "Yeah, great to make the Playoffs, that would be unbelievable, give me a lot of time off this fall. We've got a baby coming so that would take some pressure off of that. The Playoffs are a bonus for me. I'm just going to go out and try to play good golf, and I guess if I play really well, then I get to play another week."
Fellow pro Mark Hubbard confirmed that Dahmen was looking at vacation time these next few weeks more than a possible playoff spot.
"My wife's actually in Jackson Hole right now, I think they're {the Dahmens] talking about maybe going there," Hubbard said. "I'm super jealous of both of them so I might just third wheel onto his trip, I don't know."
Hubbard, who shot 65 on Thursday, is still on the outside at No. 82 but that's up from 98 from 24 hours ago.
Jordan Spieth also did himself some favors. He was in the 50th spot ahead of this week and gave himself some breathing room after shooting 5-under 65 to move up to 46th.
"I didn't have a great warmup this morning and it kind of translated, but it was nice to hang in there, get some breaks on the greens and be a couple under while I wasn't really, really feeling very good about my game," he said. "Then I started to kind of get in a nice rhythm to finish and hopefully carry that into the rest of the week."
Christiaan Bezuidenhout has moved to the good side of the top-70 threshold from No. 74 to No. 66. The South African still has work to do but his Thursday 65 is a big step in the right direction.

On the flip side, a few golfers were moving the wrong direction at Sedgefield, but again, it's only been 18 holes, so there's still time.
Min Woo Lee, not playing this week, went from No. 49 to No. 51. That's good enough to make next week but now has him out of the BMW.
The bigger hit came to Ben An, who shot 2-under 68 and is tied for 64th at the Wyndham. That's an outcome that saw him fall from 69th to 72nd and out of the playoffs. Also sliding out was Matti Schmid, who was the bubble boy at the start of the tournament at No. 70. He's now 73rd.

There are three prominent names still outside the top 70 and time is starting to run out. Gary Woodland went back three spots from 75th to 78th; Adam Scott went from 85th to 84th; Max Homa was 106th and now he's 103rd.

BMW M3 CS Touring Sets Nürburgring Record, Becomes Fastest Wagon Ever
While most automakers are busy inflating crossovers with mood lighting and pretending it's performance, BMW has done something that actually matters. It turned a family wagon into a track-dominating monster. The new BMW M3 CS Touring is now officially the fastest production wagon ever to lap the Nürburgring Nordschleife, setting a verified time of 7 minutes 29.5 put that in perspective: it's quicker than a Ferrari 599 GTB, within spitting distance of a Porsche Cayman GT4 RS, and yes, it still has room in the back for your dog, golf clubs, or both. The lap was driven by BMW M development ace Jörg Weidinger, who also set the M3 Touring's previous record two years ago. This new CS just wiped the floor with it. The CS Touring uses the same 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six from the M3 CS sedan, tuned to 543 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. It's mated to an eight-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission and sends power to all four wheels via BMW's xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The result? 0–60 mph in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 180 mph with the optional M Driver's isn't just a power upgrade. It's a full send. BMW shaved weight with a carbon fiber roof, hood, splitter, diffuser, and optional carbon bucket seats. Throw in semi-slick tires, stiffer adaptive dampers, and a more aggressive stability program, and you've got a wagon that thinks it's a track day hero. The M3 CS Touring isn't just a Nürburgring trophy hunter. It's the halo product for a performance division that's currently having its best year ever. BMW M sold over 106,000 cars in the first half of 2025, a record-breaking start powered in part by high-performance wagons like this one - as shown in BMW's latest sales also proves BMW hasn't lost its edge. While other car companies chase electric blobs with overstyled faces, BMW is still building sharp, focused, driver-first machines. It's also beating Mercedes in the 2025 U.S. luxury sales race while it's at it - here's how they pulled the design, while familiar in M-car form, nods to the future. The upcoming Neue Klasse platform promises a radical shift, but as this design preview shows, the soul of BMW performance isn't going anywhere. You can't buy it in the U.S. That's the bad news. BMW says the M3 CS Touring will be Europe-only, which is basically a punch to the gut for American wagon fans. It's expected to cost around $145,000, and production will be extremely limited. So even in Europe, you'll need deep pockets and serious connections. This is what happens when BMW M is allowed to go all-in. The M3 CS Touring is fast, focused, and properly exciting - and unlike most performance SUVs, it actually deserves to exist. We might not get it in the U.S., but we can at least admire it from afar.
