'I struggled with loving myself' — Nozipho Ntshangase gets real after going under the knife

In pursuit of physical perfection, several South African celebrities have taken drastic measures, opting for surgical procedures to enhance their appearance. Nozipho Ntshangase is the latest to go under the knife. For her it's a mommy makeover she's been wanting to do after giving birth to five children. The Mommy Club star recently shared a candid video while packing her hospital bag, revealing she was gearing to undergo a cosmetic procedure — but did not disclose what. 'I've been on this self-love journey. After having my last three children and going through a lot, I struggled with loving myself. My confidence went down the drain, so I thought why not do the outer and inner work on myself at the same time? Nozipho said she had tried exercising to get her figure back. 'I gained weight. It was this and it was that. Not exercising as often as I would have wanted. A lot of insecurities I have. I decided to take the plunge and be brave and do what I always wanted to do, which is work on my body and myself. I'm excited and nervous because I'm a researcher, I read a lot and Google has me overthinking a lot of things, but my surgeon is really amazing.' On Tuesday, Nozipho shared an update with her followers. 'Everything went well. Thank you God for covering me today. Road to recovery now. Thank you for the well wishes and all your prayers.'

'ShxtsNGigs' bring the heat - and the haters -with 'Daddy's Home' SA tour

ShxtsNGigs are set to land in South Africa for their 'Daddy's Home' tour amid the mixed reviews. Image: Instagram The 'ShxtsNGigs' podcast duo, James Duncan and Fuhad Dawodu, have revealed that they are bringing their 'Daddy's Home' tour to South Africa, but not everyone is excited. Known for their unapologetic humour and viral content, they will be taking their podcast live to Johannesburg and Cape Town in 2026. The pair are also notorious for their brutally honest and sidesplitting commentary on their 'Icks' and 'Twitter Hall of Fame' segments, where they discuss sex, relationships and everything pop culture. The 'ShxtsNGigs' podcast has gained immense popularity over the years, entertaining millions with their unfiltered takes and infectious laughs. The pair took to their social media with an announcement promo video, which shows them in a private jet video calling talented South African dancer Robot Boii, asking him to teach them some local moves. The announcement, however, has been met with mixed reactions from fans and people who have consumed their previous content and did not find it tasteful. Back in 2023, Duncan and Dawodu rubbed some South African netizens the wrong way when they poked fun at how South African Twitter (formerly X) interacts online. During their 'Twitter Hall of Fame' segment, they were discussing a viral thread where people shared when they realised their supposed friends hated them. The duo zeroed in on a particularly striking confession: 'When she moved in with my boyfriend.' They then noted how it was a South African thread where people would start their tweets in English, then proceed to end it in their native language, calling it 'gibberish' and 'mouth noise'. They added that it made them feel left out because they, too, want to understand the rest of the tweet. This understandably upset many South Africans who called the podcast hosts out for insulting their diverse culture. The duo later apologised after the backlash, citing that they use the term 'gibberish' for anything they don't understand. Now, with their announcement, some of their fans are excited and are hoping to get their hands on the tickets before they are sold out, while others are just not comprehending why the duo is coming to Mzansi after their offensive comments X user @GoldenMazinyo commented: 'Yo! It's not a good idea for you to waltz into South Africa and expect us to forget the 'gibberish' chat. We have no place for ignorant, pompous, uncultured black Europeans who insult other people's languages for sh*ts and giggles.' 'I really hope nobody buys those tickets after the vile language y'all used against South Africans and their languages,' said @Alwayshurtman. The tour is set to kick off on January 24, 2026, at The Golden Dome in Johannesburg and then to the Grand Arena, GrandWes, in Cape Town on January 27.

Next Stay Close ✕ 'Yukon' stands out as one of the highlight tracks from Bieber's latest album, 'SWAG'. Blending moody trap beats with introspective lyrics, the song feels made for reinterpretation. Earlier this month, Bieber unveiled 'SWAG' - his long-anticipated seventh studio album - without releasing any singles beforehand. It's his first full-length project since 'Justice' in 2021, following a hiatus shaped by health challenges, media scrutiny and deep personal growth. The album debuted at No 2 on the Billboard 200, earning strong commercial success. To mark the occasion, Bieber recently hosted a star-studded release party at Bird Street Club in West Hollywood, joined by the likes of Kendall Jenner, Kid Laroi and his wife Hailey, who played a key role in the album's rollout and branding. Adding to the buzz, SA's own global pop star Tyla was recently spotted vibing to 'Yukon' in a casual video clip, sparking playful suggestions online for a possible Bieber-Tyla collaboration. Though she hasn't responded to the buzz, fans remain hopeful that a musical meeting between the two might one day become a reality. Whether you're a fan of Bieber, J'Something, or simply good music that stirs the soul, this rendition is worth a listen - and a reminder that great music continues to inspire across borders and genres.
