EXCLUSIVE: Camille Guaty spills the skincare secrets that saved her during her fertility battle - plus her screen comeback and embracing her power as a female force
From Disney Channel to Duster — Camille Guaty is a force to be reckoned with.
The decorated actress has been in the entertainment biz for over two decades, with one of her first notable roles being on Disney Channel's show Gotta Kick It Up back in 2002.
Now, she is embarking on a groundbreaking adventure with her role as Izzy Reyna in J.J. Abrams and LaToya Morgan's new HBO Max show Duster, which officially premiered on May 15th, 2025.
Duster is a historical fiction action-packed show that follows the first African American female FBI agent who creates an unexpected partnership with a mob getaway driver during the 70s. Guaty's character Izzy plays a pivotal role throughout the series and is known for her grit and determination.
'I remember the chemistry read with J.J. Abrams so well... It's the end scene for Josh and I, and he starts crying, and I start crying, and J.J. goes like, cut, print, put that up on TV right now,' said Guaty.
Guaty steps into this new role with a unique perspective as a mother and longtime actress who has grown up in what is considered a male-dominated industry and fought for women's voices.
'To see my character who is a truck driver... You know, she is a single mother. And to see what she has gone through — and that she uses her voice, such a small voice, but that small voice made such a big change. And I think it is so important to see these types of characters on television.'
Asides from appearing on screen, Guaty has spent many years of her career using her platform to speak out on subjects that directly affect women, especially infertility, after suffering through it herself.
A big point of mention was how her skin underwent significant hurdles during long IVF attempts and what she did to combat it during her on-camera career. 'It wasn't until I started doing IVF that I was like, wow, what's happening with my skin? What's happening with my face?' said Guaty.
But the Nashville based actress has spent years finding ways to persevere, and taking care of her skin through ' active ingredients ' has been her secret to success. Guaty turns to three staple brands for all her beauty: Skinbetter, Biopelle, and NEQI.
'I have a few products that I absolutely love... This is a vitamin C serum that has more than just the serum. I know vitamin C is everywhere, but this one in particular has a whole bunch of other yummy goodness in it!,' said Guaty while sharing her love for luxe brand Skinbetter.
Skinbetter Science Alto Advanced Defense and Repair Serum
'I know vitamin C is everywhere, but this one in particular has a whole bunch of other yummy goodness in it.'
Guaty can not get enough of this serum that is packed with nourishing ingredients, including Vitamin C and E. Whether you are fighting hyperpigmentation (like Guaty) or just looking for healthier, brighter skin — this serum has got you.

During her journey to motherhood, Guaty found herself fighting hyperpigmentation, and it was this sneaky snail mucin serum that she swore by to combat it, 'This snail serum growth factor... I am telling you this right here is like five facials in this tiny little bottle. It's amazing.'
Biopelle Tensage Intensive Serum 50
Snail Mucin has been taking the world by storm and it seems Camille Guaty as well!
'So I know, like, everyone's all into the snail stuff, but I'm telling you this right here is like five facials in this tiny little bottle!'
These powerful, luxury serum capsules pack a punch with intense hydration and science backed brightening.
$195
The Duster actress also noted that there is one Target hair brand that has become her recent obsession for her curly locks, and shockingly their products are less than $15. 'So, it is target prices... but it works like it is a $50 product,' said Guaty.
She also noted that despite her love for the finer things, she'd be remiss not to mention that she thinks her character Izzy Reyna would be much simpler, resorting to just two products — lemon and Vaseline.
NEQI Diamond Glass Styling Spray All Hair
'This is from Target... it looks really expensive and it smells really expensive.'
You can shop a handful of NEQI products directly online and in stores at Target! This spray according to Guaty holds frizz back and gives effortless volume for hours on end.
$14.69 Shop
Whether she is shopping for skincare or starring in the hottest new television series, Guaty is committed to not just entertaining people, but creating a better and brighter future for women like herself.
In the words of Camille Guaty, 'It just takes one person, and then you speak to another person, and you speak to another person, and you start your own coalition... and you can make things happen. You can make a change.'

Ford Recalls Nearly 500,000 Vehicles, See If Yours Is Affected
Yet another recall from the Blue Oval According to a new report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration dated May 27, 2025, Detroit-based automaker Ford is issuing a recall affecting nearly half a million older iterations of its popular Explorer family SUV due to a potentially hazardous defect involving the vehicle and those around it on the road. The massive recall covers 492,145 Ford Explorers produced between June 11, 2015, and April 19, 2017, in the 2016 and 2017 model years. The NHTSA said in its report that the 'driver and front passenger door B-pillar trim appliques' (the little pieces of black plastic above the front driver and passenger side door handles) might detach from the vehicle while driving, which can be a hazard for other road users and increase the risk of a crash. 2016 Ford Explorer — Source: Jeremy Korzeniewski According to the NHTSA, drivers of affected vehicles may recognize the problem if they see the B-pillar trim separating from the rest of the front doors when they enter and exit the vehicle, or notice any rattling or wind noise from the B-pillar areas when they drive. What caused this issue? The NHTSA says that the root of the cause may have resulted from a combination of factors, including a design change that added a foam donut to the adhesive side of the B-pillar panel which increased outward reaction force on the part, as well as, 'inconsistent usage of hand rollers used to ensure complete adhesion of the part to door sheet metal during installation at the vehicle assembly plant.' The Federal agency's report reveals that the Ford Motor Co. first recognized the problem as far back as July 4, 2019, when it published a technical service bulletin to direct dealers on how to repair loose driver side B-pillar trim appliques on Explorers due to potential lack of adhesive, which at the time, it did not consider it an 'unreasonable risk to safety.' This insight emerged from an in-depth investigation in which engineers scrutinized doors sourced from local scrap yards at Ford's Central Labs. They also delved into a collection of photographs depicting parts that were reported to have detached, focusing on the specifics of each claim. As of April 7, 2025, Ford had recorded 1,482 warranty claims linked to the troubling occurrence, affecting vehicles sold in the U.S. market between December 4, 2015, and February 10, 2025. The company said that there have been no reported accidents or injuries associated with this particular defect. Ford dealers have already been notified of the issue, and owners can expect to receive a letter in the mail starting June 9. 2017 Ford Explorer — Source: Ford Final thoughts This recall comes on the same day another recall was announced due to loose or dislodged passenger airbag indicators affecting 63,898 units of the 2025 Ford Maverick. In another recall published this week, Ford announced that 1.1 million vehicles could be affected by a software glitch that could render the rearview cameras inoperable. It seems like Ford just can't escape the recall bug. About the Author James Ochoa View Profile

Draco Malfoy actor Tom Felton to reprise role in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
Tom Felton is to reprise his role as Draco Malfoy for the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play. The actor, who starred in all the film adaptations of JK Rowling's fantasy novels, will make a comeback as Harry Potter's school bully on Broadway at the Lyric theatre in New York later this year. The production said he was the first actor from the films to reprise their role on stage, in what will be Felton's Broadway debut. He said: 'Being a part of the Harry Potter films has been one of the greatest honours of my life. Joining this production will be a full-circle moment for me, because when I begin performances in Cursed Child this fall, I'll also be the exact age Draco is in the play. 'It's surreal to be stepping back into his shoes – and of course his iconic platinum blond hair – and I am thrilled to be able to see his story through and to share it with the greatest fan community in the world. I look forward to joining this incredible company and being a part of the Broadway community.' Felton, 37, made his West End debut in the supernatural thriller 2:22: A Ghost Story in 2022. He would begin his run in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on 11 November for a limited 19 weeks, the production said on Thursday. The show's producers, Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender, said: 'Tom's return to Hogwarts bridges generations of fans and breathes new life into a beloved story. We're beyond thrilled to welcome Tom back 'home' but also into a new family: our Broadway company.' The play, written by Jack Thorne – co-creator of this year's hit Netflix drama Adolescence – opened in 2016 in London and has had a Broadway run since 2018. It was co-devised by Rowling and is set 19 years after the events of the final book, with Potter now a Ministry of Magic employee who, along with his wife, Ginny Weasley, must send their youngest son, Albus Severus, off to school. In the two-part play, which stretches over five hours, Albus struggles with the weight of his family legacy at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and goes to extreme and dangerous lengths to right the wrongs of the past. Caitlin Clark forced to apologize to Indiana Fever fan after courtside incident
Caitlin Clark was forced to apologize to a few Indiana Fever fans before Tuesday night's game after she launched a large bouncy ball into the crowd. Clark is currently out of action with a quad injury, with her possible return being on Saturday against the Chicago Sky. With her trying to stay busy and support the Fever in action against the Washington Mystics, she was playing with a bouncy ball during the on-court introductions. Clark bounces the ball lightly on the Gainbridge Fieldhouse hardwood a few times before slamming it to the ground, expecting it just to go higher. The ball launches several feet behind Clark and into the floor seating behind one of the baskets. Clark runs over immediately trying to find the ball and apologizing profusely to the group of fans sitting in that section. pregame shenanigans with Caitlin Clark 😅 — Indiana Fever (@IndianaFever) June 4, 2025 Clark is the single best thing to happen to the Fever in franchise history, with the fans likely immediately accepting her apology. The point guard is not seen talking to them long before walking back onto the hardwood with her bouncy ball looking guilty at what had just occurred. Clark then was seen not bouncing her ball during the game and cheering on her teammates, alongside fellow injured Indiana star Sophie Cunningham. The Fever won their first game without Clark in the lineup this season over the Mystics, with a road trip to Chicago looming. Should Clark be healthy, she will be on the court against rival Angel Reese for the first time since their on-court incident from the opening weekend of the WNBA season. The incident led to a racism investigation from the league, which found no wrongdoing from Fever fans.
