
Nokia upgrades Orange Jordan's broadband network gateway
Nokia and Orange Jordan have announced the modernisation of Orange Jordans Broadband Network Gateway (BNG) using Nokias advanced 7750 Service Router (SR) platforms. This upgrade aims to enhance broadband services across Jordan, improving connectivity, efficiency and user experience.
Covering 76 sites across northern, central and southern Jordan, the deployment enables Orange Jordan to meet increasing subscriber demands with high-speed internet, IPTV and personalised broadband services. The upgrade also supports sustainability efforts by optimising energy consumption and reducing operational costs.
This collaboration underscores Nokias commitment to delivering high-performance, secure and sustainable network solutions. With the new infrastructure in place, Orange Jordan is set to provide superior broadband services while driving digital transformation and innovation across the country.
Speaking about the upgrade, Waleed Al Doulat, Chief ITN & Wholesale Officer at Orange Jordan, said: 'This upgrade is a testament to our commitment to delivering the best broadband services to our customers. Innovative projects compete for the local edition of Orange Social Venture Prize
During the Pitching Day organized by Orange Jordan as part of the 9th local edition of the Orange Social Venture Prize (OSVP) 2025, 10 entrepreneurs showcased their projects to the judging panel, competing for the top three positions.
