Taylor Swift fans go wild after Empire State Building 'stunt' hints at new music from singer
On Monday, the official X account for the iconic New York City skyscraper shared an image of the building, seemingly taken in February, with its top part lit up with orange lights, and the caption, 'See you next era.'
Many believe the post is signaling Swift's, 35, next musical chapter, following her extremely successful Eras Tour.
The official account for the Eras Tour even commented on the post, writing, 'Yessss' with an orange heart emoji.
Swift's last musical release was her 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department, which came out in April 2024.
Following the post, excited Swifties took to the comments, with one writing, 'Do you know something we don't, Empire State Building?!'
'Oh that lead single is coming,' someone else chimed in.
'TS12 listening party at the Empire State Building when?' another questioned.
'What do you know? OMG!'
'Guys IT'S HAPPENING.'
'I love New York supporting our beloved @taylorswift13!!!!'
'I LOVE that the Empire State Building is a swiftie.'
The Empire State Building's lights have been changed to different colors to recognize special occasions, holidays, and organizations in the past.
The building was illuminated in orange in February to honor Shiri, Ariel and Kfir Bibas, the Israeli mother and sons who were taken hostage and killed during the attacks on October 7.
Adding fuel to the speculations about Swift's potential 12th studio album was a recent announcement from her boyfriend Travis Kelce, with many fans believing that Taylor will appear on his podcast for the first time to announce her new music.
Swifties were left convinced that the songstress could finally be making a highly-anticipated appearance on Travis and his brother Jason's New Heights podcast after the hit show dropped a cryptic clue on Monday morning.

Following the post, excited Swifties took to the comments, with one writing, 'Do you know something we don't, Empire State Building?!'
New Heights' official X account shared a post revealing that the podcast would return from its temporary summer break for a one-off episode with a 'VERY special guest' on Wednesday at 7pm ET.
The image they selected happened to feature a black silhouette and a bedazzled orange background, seemingly teasing Swift may be joining them.
Others pointed to a clue lay in Jason's choice of clothing as the retired Philadelphia Eagles legend was wearing a t-shirt from Swift's merchandise line.
And, despite the podcast's attempts to protect the guest's anonymity, not only were the pop sensation's fans convinced she would be returning to the public eye on the show but that she has a very specific reason for stepping back into the spotlight.
Some theories suggested she might be announcing a Super Bowl Halftime performance, an NFL theme song, a re-recorded album, or even an Eras Tour documentary.
New Heights' announcement was followed by a teaching post from Taylor Nation - the singer's in-house marketing and public relations team - which read: 'Thinking about when she said "See you next era…"'
The account added fuel to the fire by following it up with four images of the 'Anti-Hero' hitmaker in orange outfits - the same color as the background of New Heights' promo graphic.
Two more batches of four similar photos followed, taking the total to 12, which would be the number of the singer's next album.
'TS12 IS ACTUALLY COMING THIS IS NOT A DRILL WHATS THE PROCEDURE!!,' one fan wrote.
'She's announcing ts12 on the pod isn't she…….,' another social media user questioned.
'travis looking to his left with his Taylor Smile, jason wearing merch, i can see the bangs from a mile away……but most importantly, the background… …..ts12 confirmed to be orange alert the troops,' a third theorized.
'We're gonna get the ts12 announcement on the 13th day of August on an episode of New Heights WHAT IS LIFE,' gushed another fan.
Many Swifties believe that orange will be the new color scheme of the 14-time Grammy Award winner's 12th studio album 'era'.

Bella Hadid goes braless under a semi-sheer cropped shawl as she launches latest perfume
Bella Hadid went braless as she announced the launch of her latest perfume on Tuesday. The model, 28, who unveiled her newest business venture in May, wore a semi-sheer cropped shawl in the racy Instagram update. She teamed the gold top with a pair of low-waist gingham trousers and flashed her taut midriff. Bella was in high spirits as she showed off the new gem from her collection, which she described as a 'woody, sweet, fruity skin parfum.' She added: 'Thank you to everyone for giving me the opportunity to live my dream not just in business, but in creativity. You keep us moving as a brand, and you keep me moving in my heart & soul. I'm so grateful.' Orebella is Bella's range of 'nourishing skin care fragrances' and is sold in luxury high street retailers such as Selfridges. Bella has taken some time away from the runway to focus on her Equestrian career and most recently competed at Horse Cutting championships in Las Vegas. Her cowboy boyfriend, Adan Banuelos, was at the show and held her hand as they rode out of the ring side by side. It's unclear how long Bella and Adan have been dating. They were first spotted together in October 2023, walking through the historic Fort Worth Stockyards. It seems Bella, who was trained in equestrian skills during her youth, has began training in cutting alongside her boyfriend. They went official on Valentine's Day 2024, when Hadid posted a picture of Banuelos in her Instagram Stories, calling him 'My Valentine.' She has since won several competitions. Banuelos praised her after she was crowned the National Cutting Horse Association's (NCHA) 2024 Limited Age Event (LAE) Rookie of the Year. In December—just a year after she began competing in the western‑style equestrian sport and only a couple of days after bagging another buckle—Bella earned that Rookie of the Year title. Banuelos celebrated by listing her achievements in his caption: 'First year out, Futurity Limited Am Reserve Champ ✔️ Amateur Rookie Of The Year ✔️.' Back in April, Hadid announced she would be taking a step back from modeling after moving to Texas with her partner. 'For the first time now, I'm not putting on a fake face. If I don't feel good, I won't go. If I don't feel good, I take time for myself,' she told Allure. 'And I've never had the opportunity to do that or say that before,' she continued. 'Now when anybody sees me in pictures and they say, I look happy, I genuinely am. I am feeling better; my bad days now were my old good days.'

Kesha sets pulses racing as she strips off and flashes her cleavage in raunchy bathroom snaps
Kesha set pulses racing as she stripped off and flashed her cleavage in raunchy bathroom snaps. The Tik Tok hitmaker, 38, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a raunchy message with fans. Posting a mirror selfie, Kesha could be seen wearing just a towel with her whole back exposed, as she appeared to have just got out of the shower with her hair wet. She captioned the snap: 'US leg of t**s out might be over… but t**s will be out forever.' In a post from several days before, Kesha posted yet another even racier selfie wearing just a towel. This time Kesha draped a towel over shoulder as she put on a busty display with her cleavage and toned torso on display. Earlier this year Kesha made an X-rated sex confession as she confirmed her romance with health-tech entrepreneur Michael Gilvary. The singer, who has been linked to the handsome businessman for a year, made a racy remark to TMZ when asked about their romance, Kesha cheekily retorted: 'We're not dating. I'm just using him for sex.' Kesha was previously linked to movie producer Riccardo Maddalosso in October 2023, but she reportedly got dumped by him for not inviting him to a party with Taylor Swift. The Tik Tok hitmaker went on to reveal on X what she wanted going forward. 'I mostly want a sugar daddy. I just never had one,' she wrote. In July 2024, Kesha was spotted with a sign that said 'I'm Single' during a night out in West Hollywood. Not long after she was spotted twice with Gilvary. They were seen dining at celeb-favorite Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica and stocking up on the essentials at a Whole Foods. Gilvary's LinkedIn page reveals he is an investor, entrepreneur and adviser with experience in healthcare, entertainment and consumer retail markets. He's the co-founder of health tech company AION – a pioneering company that led the advancements in wearable technology for patient care. Michael is also a professor at the Baruch School of Entrepreneurship, where he teaches entrepreneurship, strategy and management courses. He's currently a Managing Partner at The Ember Company.

Hooper: the film that turned the stuntman into a movie star
Writing about Hooper in his autobiography, director Hal Needham claims the film pioneered the concept of outtakes. Subsequent films would feature flubbed line readings, misbehaving props, actions gone wrong and various other bloopers in their credits sequences. But Hooper – a film about, as its tagline proclaims, 'the greatest stuntman alive!' – uses its final minutes to showcase extra stunts that didn't make the final cut. Instead of leaving them on the cutting room floor, these outtakes instead make the stunt performer's (typically effaced) labour not only visible, but a point of celebration. An original ditty, Nothin' Like the Life (Of A Hollywood Stuntman), was even commissioned as the soundtrack. In film production, the success of the stunt performer is paradoxically predicated on their invisibility. They do the work of constructing the star's image while maintaining the illusion that they were never there at all. In return, stars do interviews and claim – almost always falsely – that they 'do their own stunts'. It's this idea that Hooper – starring megastar Burt Reynolds, hot off the success of his and Needham's previous collaboration, Smokey and the Bandit – lays out, turning the spotlight on the unsung profession and foregrounding the stunt performer as not a faceless entity but the film's star. Needham, a former stuntman and perhaps the first in Hollywood to move from rigging wires to sitting in the director's chair, shoots the film with a palpable reverence for the profession, informed by his experience on more than 300 films and 3,000 episodes of television. (In Reynolds' own autobiography, he claims that Needham was so good at vehicle stunts that he earned the nickname 'the master of suspension'.) Sign up for the fun stuff with our rundown of must-reads, pop culture and tips for the weekend, every Saturday morning Hooper seems to live a relatively glamorous life as a stuntman. Clocking off from his role as stunt performer and coordinator on the fictional Bond riff The Spy Who Laughed at Danger, he returns to his ranch to be met by his girlfriend, Gwen (Sally Field), a fistful of beers and a horse to drink them with. All the brewskis are part of the problem; Hooper's an addict and an alcoholic, whose tendency to mask the pain of his many falls with pills and booze keeps him at arm's length with his sweetheart. He embodies an archetype Gwen's all too familiar with: her own father, Jocko (Brian Keith), is an ageing stuntman himself, equally in the wars. 'You should drink more,' Jocko tells Hooper. 'Nothing hurts when you're numb.' As his doctor informs him, Hooper's next accident could be his last – a danger accentuated by his director's desire to flout safety precautions. Making matters worse, Hooper has to contend with new blood personified in the hotshot Ski (Jan-Michael Vincent). Ski's affection for aerial antics and coiffed hair brings to mind none other than Tom Cruise, whose own turn towards stunting stardom – via high-profile, high-pressure capers – remains a high point of the latter-day Mission: Impossible films. The spectacle of the stunt almost becomes secondary to the amusement of hanging out with Hooper and his buddies: a post-bar brawl party at Hooper's house isn't a rambunctious rave, but a sleepy screening of his stunt reel, the room silent but for the flicker of the projector. A scratchy print showcases a bi-plane gag of Hooper's own. The film-within-a-film's director is a thinly veiled dig at New Hollywood auteur Peter Bogdanovich, whom Needham worked under, found pompous, and wrote skewering dialogue for. He takes glee in making the character bluster. 'Films are tiny pieces of time, and we captured it!' goes one stuffy comment – but I like to think there's some truth in there. Every stunt recorded is a small miracle – and Hooper captures the magic. Hooper is available to stream on HBO Max in Australia and available to rent in the US.
