Golden Arrow Options Third Project in Argentina

Cision Canada24-06-2025
VANCOUVER, BC, June 24, 2025 /CNW/ - Golden Arrow Resources Corporation (TSXV: GRG) (FSE: G6A) (OTCQB: GARWF), (" Golden Arrow" or the " Company") is pleased to announce that it has signed the definitive option agreement (the " Agreement") with Latin Metals Inc. (" Latin Metals") granting the option to acquire up to a 100% interest in the Company's Huachi property (" Huachi"). Huachi is a 3,500-hectare copper-gold property that is part of Golden Arrow's portfolio of over 120,000 hectares of prospective properties in Argentina. The Huachi project is located in San Juan Province and is immediately contiguous with Latin Metals' Esperanza copper-gold project.
Golden Arrow President & CEO Nikolaos Cacos commented, " This agreement marks the third strategic option agreement we have signed in recent years as part of our efforts to advance our non-core assets. Success on any of these projects is good for Golden Arrow and our shareholders. Huachi now joins our Mogote Copper-Gold project that is under option to Mogotes Metals as part of their Filo Sur project, and our Caballos Copper-Gold project that is under option to Hanaq Argentina S.A."
Definitive Option Terms
Latin Metals has the right to acquire an initial 75% interest in Huachi by completing US$1,000,000 in exploration expenditures and US$1,000,000 in cash payments to Golden Arrow over a four-year period. Upon earning the 75% interest, Latin Metals has a Top-Up Right to acquire the remaining 25% interest (for an aggregate 100% ownership) by paying US$2,000,000 in cash to Golden Arrow within 90 days (Table 1).
Should Latin Metals choose not to exercise the Top-Up Right, the parties will form a joint venture (" JV") with Latin Metals holding 75% and Golden Arrow 25%. Each party will fund its pro-rata share of future expenditures. A party diluting below 15% will have its interest converted to a 1% net smelter return (" NSR") royalty.
Work commitments and cash payments commence on the first anniversary of approval of the environmental permit (Declaración de Impacto Ambiental or " DIA"), approving the start of exploration activities including drilling (the " Commencement Date").

Qantas faces $58 million penalty for unlawful firings in COVID era

SYDNEY, Australia: Australia's flag carrier Qantas Airways has been ordered to pay A$90 million (US$58.6 million) after a court ruled the airline illegally fired 1,800 ground staff at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and replaced them with contractors. Federal Court Judge Michael Lee said the penalty, among the largest under Australia's workplace laws, was designed to send a clear signal to big corporations that such actions cannot be written off as just another business expense. "My present focus is on achieving real deterrence … to large public companies which might be tempted to 'get away' with contravening conduct because the rewards may outweigh the downside risk of effective remedial responses," Lee said in his summary judgment. The Transport Workers' Union (TWU), which brought the case on behalf of the sacked employees, will receive A$50 million of the fine. The ruling follows a separate A$120 million settlement reached last year between Qantas and the TWU to compensate the affected staff. The 2020 layoffs became one of the most contentious labor disputes in Australia during the pandemic, when airlines faced an unprecedented collapse in travel demand. Qantas shares dipped 0.13 percent in early trading following Monday's decision.

Elon Musk's private jet lands in Bella Bella on B.C.'s central coast over the weekend

The world's richest man flew into Bella Bella on Saturday before hopping in a helicopter believed to be bound for a private resort complex owned by media heir James Murdoch near Bella Coola. Elon Musk's private jet arrived in Vancouver on Friday, according to the account on social media platform Bluesky, after departing San Jose, California earlier in the day. On Saturday, Musk and one of his sons landed by plane at a small airport just north of Bella Bella, a small First Nations fishing community on B.C.'s central coast. They then boarded a helicopter likely en route to Nascall Bay where Murdoch — who is also a board member of Tesla — owns a large property that includes the Nascall Hot Springs. Nascall Bay is 50km northwest of Bella Coola. Start your day with a roundup of B.C.-focused news and opinion. By signing up you consent to receive the above newsletter from Postmedia Network Inc. A photo of Musk disembarking a helicopter on Monday with his son in Bella Bella was provided to the CBC, which reported the event . While Musk's net worth of US$413 billion makes him the richest man in the world, Murdoch and his family check in on the list at No. 90 with a net worth of US$24 billion. According to Musk's private jet left Vancouver on Monday afternoon. While Musk is well-known to be South African, he also holds Canadian citizenship through his mother, Regina-born Maye Musk, and spent time in both Saskatchewan and Vancouver as a youth. Vancouver-born musician Grimes has three children with Musk. jjadams@ dcarrigg@
