Actress Shefali Jariwala's ex-husband, Harmeet Singh, has finally revealed why he was missing from her last rites and funeral ceremony. Shefali Jariwala passed away in Mumbai. Shefali suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and was rushed to the hospital in the hours between June 27 and June 28. However, she was declared dead on arrival. Her last rites were held on Saturday, June 28. While many names from the entertainment world attended the last rites, Harmeet Singh's absence was noted.
Harmeet Singh has revealed that he is currently in Europe, hence he couldn't attend Shefali Jariwala 's funeral. He wrote on Instagram, 'Being away in Europe right now, it's painful for me not to be able to be there for the last rites." Harmeet sent his condolences to Shefali's parents, sister and husband Parag Tyagi. He added, 'Gone far too soon. I pray to the Almighty for her soul to rest in peace, and strength to the family during this unimaginable time."
Shefali Jariwala was previously married to Harmeet Singh, one-half of the famous music duo Meet Brothers. He is known for composing songs such as Main Tera Boyfriend, Baby Doll, Pink Lips, Radhe Radhe, and others. The two got married in 2004 after a short period of dating. However, the relationship quickly took a difficult turn.
After a difficult divorce with Harmeet Singh, Shefali found love again with Parag Tyagi. Over time, Shefali recognised the sincerity of his love, and after nearly four years of dating, the couple married in 2014.
As for Shefali's last rites, her husband, Parag Tyagi, and her rakhi brother, Hindustani Bhau, were seen carrying her body. They were surrounded by family and friends. Shefali Jariwala's last rites were held at the same crematorium in Oshiwara where Siddharth Shukla's last rites also took place years ago.
Shefali was known for her outspoken personality and strong presence on social media. Her sudden passing has shocked fans and colleagues across the entertainment industry. Tributes have already begun pouring in on social media, remembering her as a 'vibrant, fearless" artist who left a lasting impression.
