Parag Tyagi ‘stayed awake all night' after Shefali Jariwala left; missed her every moment: ‘She was not there…'
The sudden and unexpected loss of a loved one is never easy to accept or come to terms with. It's not just their immediate absence, but also the heartbreaking realisation that you will never interact with them again, that one needs to make peace with. Film-television actor Parag Tyagi is currently going through such a difficult time following the untimely and tragic demise of his wife, actor and model Shefali Jariwala. Meanwhile, one of Parag's earlier interviews has caught the attention of netizens, in which he shared how emotionally overwhelmed he was when Shefali left to participate in Bigg Boss Season 13. His words not only reflect the deep love he had for her but also raise concern for his well-being during these trying times. Opening up about how much he missed his wife while she was away for the reality show, Parag revealed that he didn't truly understand the depth of his love for Shefali until she entered the Bigg Boss house. Speaking to Times of India TV, he said that those days helped him realise just how much she meant to him, as he missed her every single moment. Recalling the emptiness he felt at home, Parag said he missed her most when something joyous happened. 'I used to be awake the entire night thinking about how to tell her. I used to share with my parents, but I have always shared everything with her, and she was not there,' he added. Proudly stating that he has no ego or issue in being known as 'Shefali Jariwala's husband', Parag emphasised the importance of supporting each other's dreams in a strong, lasting relationship. 'I have also done a lot of work, but nothing makes me happier than being addressed as Shefali's husband. It makes me proud, I am getting goosebumps right now,' he added. Shefali, who rose to fame as the 'Kaanta Laga Girl' in the early 2000s, was previously married to musician Harmeet Singh of Meet Brothers in 2004. The couple parted ways in 2009. After her separation from Harmeet, she began dating Parag Tyagi and the two eventually tied the knot in 2014. She passed away at the age of 42 on Friday (June 27) in Mumbai.

Harmeet Singh recalls final long conversation with ex-wife Shefali Jariwala before her death: ‘We were on a private plane and…'
Actor-model Shefali Jariwala's untimely death has shaken the entertainment industry not just because it was so sudden, but also due to emerging reports regarding the potential reasons that may have led to her demise. Although the official cause of death is yet to be confirmed, the incident has sparked a wider debate about the risks associated with cosmetic procedures, particularly anti-ageing treatments. Shefali, who rose to fame as the 'Kaanta Laga Girl' in the early 2000s, further established herself in the industry by playing a supporting role in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004), starring Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles. That same year, she married musician Harmeet Singh of Meet Brothers, though the couple parted ways in 2009. Now, Harmeet has spoken out for the first time since his ex-wife's passing, describing the news as 'shattering'. He also recalled the last long conversation they had. 'I remember having gone to Bangladesh for a show, about two to three years ago. Sunny Leone and Shefali were also there. We three came back together in a private plane, and Shefali and I sat next to each other. And yes, there was quite a long conversation that we had. Apart from that, I did meet her at a few events and parties where I remember we both wishing each other warmly,' he shared during a chat with journalist Vickey Lalwani. It may be mentioned here that although the two moved on after their divorce, Shefali had previously admitted experiencing 'mental violence' during her marriage to Harmeet. 'It is very important to understand that you are not being appreciated. Not every kind of violence is physical. There is a lot of mental violence that also happens, and you are very unhappy in your life. I think one of the reasons why I could make the decision for myself was because I was independent. I was making my own money. The biggest fear in our country is we have is of society. Divorce is considered to be taboo, but the way I have been raised is to not really care about society but just do what we feel is right. I could take such steps in my life and had strong support,' she said during a chat with Times Now Digital in 2021. After her split from Harmeet, Shefali began dating actor Parag Tyagi, and the two eventually tied the knot in 2014. She passed away at the age of 42 on Friday (June 27) in Mumbai.
