Youm-e-Takbeer: president, PM and armed forces resolve to protect sovereignty
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif renewed on Wednesday the pledge to uphold and safeguard the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Pakistan.
On the occasion of Youm-e-Takbeer, President said that Pakistan's nuclear capability continues to serve as a credible minimum deterrent that guarantees peace and ensures 'no one can undermine our sovereignty and national security', as per Radio Pakistan.
He said Pakistan does not seek conflict and is committed to the principles of peaceful coexistence and respect for international law.
'Pakistan demonstrated its strategic patience and commitment to peace in the face of recent unprovoked Indian aggression.'
In his message, PM Shehbaz honoured the brilliant scientists and engineers who turned the vision and aspirations of the entire nation into reality.
'We commend our valiant armed forces for their unwavering resolve and determination to defend the nation's frontiers against all external and internal threats,' the PM wrote on X.
'In the same spirit of unity and resolve, we pledge to build Pakistan into a strong economic power that would become the envy of the world. InshaAllah!'
Meanwhile, the Armed Forces of Pakistan, along with the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and Services Chiefs, also extended heartfelt felicitations to the people of Pakistan.
'Youm-e-Takbeer commemorates the momentous occasion in 1998 when Pakistan emerged as a nuclear power—restoring the strategic balance in South Asia and asserting its sovereign right to self-defence,' the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release today.

The statement added that this historic achievement epitomizes the nation's resolve, unity, and unwavering pursuit of a dignified and peaceful existence.
'The Armed Forces of Pakistan reiterate their unflinching resolve to defend the motherland against all threats across the full spectrum of conflict.
As responsible custodians of the nation's strategic assets, we reaffirm that our nuclear capability remains solely for defensive purposes and stands as a guarantor of peace.'

PM Shehbaz exchanges Eid greetings with Muslim leaders
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday exchanged Eid greetings with Muslim world leaders in separate telephonic conversations, the Prime Minister's Office said. During a telephonic conversation with Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, the prime minister extended cordial Eid greetings to Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, as well as to the brotherly people of Kuwait. The two leaders prayed for peace and prosperity of the Ummah. The prime minister thanked His Highness the Crown Prince for Kuwait's strong and balanced position in support of peace and dialogue during the recent crisis between Pakistan and India. He emphasized that Pakistan had always desired peace in the region. In a phone call with Qatar's Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani the premier extended warm wishes to him and the brotherly people of Qatar. He expressed gratitude to the Qatari Amir for his proactive diplomacy and valuable efforts in helping to de-escalate tensions between Pakistan and India during the recent crisis. The premier especially acknowledged Sheikh Tamim's timely phone call at the peak of the crisis, and also appreciated the supportive role played by Qatar's prime minister and foreign minister. Earlier, PM Shehbaz also held a telephonic conversation with his Malaysian counterpart Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim, with both reaffirming their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in multiple fields, including trade, investment, and culture. 'PTI's protest movement is ineffective' says Rana Sanaullah

Speaking to the media after offering Eid al-Adha prayers in Faislabad, the SAPM said Pakistan is now on the path to economic stability and development, but overcoming existing challenges requires national unity, political consensus, and alignment on an economic agenda, which he called the most urgent need of the time. He said Pakistan is transitioning from economic decline toward economic stability — a dream of the country's founding fathers. He added that thanks to national unity and courageous decisions by the political leadership, Pakistan is once again on a path of development. He revealed that India made an unjustified and arrogant attempt to attack Pakistan last month, but armed forces, with the backing of the people, delivered a strong response and shattered the enemy's arrogance. He said that the ongoing military operation, 'Bunyan-un-Marsoos', being carried out in the name of justice, has achieved historic success, and Pakistan has emerged before the world as a strong nuclear power. He added that while the military has fulfilled its duties, it is now the responsibility of the political leadership to unite for national development. He confirmed that these elections will be held on a party basis. Sanaullah also said that the Punjab government is working on welfare schemes such as the Kisan Card, Mazdoor Card, and Mazoor Card to improve the quality of life for ordinary citizens. He concluded by noting that major national projects, including Pakistan's nuclear tests, were completed during PML-N's tenure, and that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is now stepping forward with a new vision of public service.
