Oppo Reno14 series is going international with Gemini access to built-in apps
Oppo has basically just indirectly confirmed that the Reno14 series, announced for the Chinese market earlier this month, is getting an international release (which isn't always a given with the Reno family seeing as how there's a new launch in China every six months or so).
While this is just our speculation, we base it on a new press release from Oppo that boasts about its collaboration with Google's Gemini AI for the Reno14 series. And Google apps aren't available in China, hence our assumption.
Oppo says that on the Reno14 devices, Gemini will soon integrate with Oppo's own built-in apps, like Notes, Calendar, and Clock. It will both pull information from them and take actions on your behalf in them. This is something we've seen before on Samsung devices, for example, but it's good to see such functionality spreading across brands.
Gemini will also support "multi-app journeys" - the example the company gives is asking Gemini to summarize a lengthy document and then saving that summary directly into Oppo Notes. Or you can "capture essential steps from recipe tutorials on YouTube" by instructing Gemini to save them right into Oppo Notes. Likewise, after you make travel arrangements, you can ask Gemini to add them to your Oppo Calendar.

Honor Magic V5 battery capacity could increase 20%
Honor is expected to launch Magic V5 soon, and the device was already certified at CMIIT. The phone with model number MHB-AN10 has a minimal 5,950 mAh battery capacity, which, according to tipsters, translates to a typical 6,100 mAh battery capacity. If this is really the case, the Magic V5 will get an almost 20% bigger battery than its predecessor, which was already extremely thin and powerful. The rumor comes from a post about the vivo X Fold5, which is rumored to sport a 6,000 mAh dual-cell. The leakster, who is usually on point with such rumors, replied in comments that the Magic V5 will have a 100 mAh bigger battery than the vivo's. The first thing you might notice is that the name of the person who is calling you or you're calling appears larger on the top of the display (that person and his/her phone number need to be in your Contacts app) and the caller photos will also be larger. The keypad, mute, speaker, and more buttons are no longer round but are oval. When tapped, these buttons change shapes. The answer call button remains a circle. After you answer a call, the phone number of the other party will remain on the display, unlike the current design that shows the number replaced by the length of the call. With the redesign, the time of the call is moved to the top of the screen. Also added is a new animation showing the profile picture for the incoming caller. The changes made aren't earth-shattering but users might find it easier to read the name of the person calling them with the larger-sized text being used. The larger pill-shaped end button should be easier to press when your fingers are fumbling for the red end button and you're having trouble tapping it cleanly. This is what Google is all about. Redesigns to apps that seem minor might actually improve an Android user's experience with the platform.
