Saturday night's show was the first of two concerts to be held in Dublin, with the second being on Sunday night. And Kearney's wife Jess whetted the appetite of those lucky enough to have secured tickets for the show. She said: "What a night. If you're going tonight, have the best time - iconic show!" At the end of TNT Sports' live coverage, Crouch could not wait to get off screen and make his way to the airport. He was teased by presenter Lynsey Hipgrave, who said: "That's about all we have got time for, oh sorry, I have just been told we have got more time all of a sudden. We can carry on talking for a bit." Crouch replied: "No, Lynsey, I am going to Oasis tonight, that's not happening. I've got a flight to catch." Joe Cole interjected: "Let the man leave. He's done his job. He's done enough." Crouch then dropped the microphone and hilariously sprinted off camera. Cole responded: "I am so jealous." And Hipgrave then brilliantly added: "Pete, don't look back in anger."

Luis Diaz pays tribute to Diogo Jota after scoring on Bayern Munich debut

Luis Diaz, the former Liverpool player, paid a touching tribute to his late team-mate Diogo Jota during his dream debut for Bayern Munich. The 28-year-old Colombian winger scored in Bayern's 2-1 victory over Stuttgart in the German Super Cup, marking his first trophy win with his new club. Diaz left Liverpool in July when Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich shelled out £65.5million for him. This move came just weeks after the tragic car crash that claimed the lives of Jota and his younger brother, Andre Silva. In a statement confirming his departure from Anfield, Diaz gave a special mention to Jota, with whom he had played for three-and-a-half years. Despite having featured in three pre-season friendlies for Bayern, it was on Saturday that Diaz saw his first competitive action. Chosen by Vincent Kompany to start the match in Stuttgart, Diaz watched as new team-mate Harry Kane broke the deadlock after 18 minutes. Bayern struggled to extend their lead in the first half and had to work hard to keep Stuttgart at bay in the second half, with Manuel Neuer showing his vintage form. Kompany's faith in Diaz paid off when the Colombian international scored a goal in the 77th minute. It was an unusual header from Diaz, who connected with a cross from Serge Gnabry, reports the Mirror. In celebration of his goal, Diaz ran to the corner flag and sat down to perform a tribute to Jota. The ex-Liverpool star mimicked playing on a gaming console, a favourite pastime of Jota's and his signature goal celebration. Stuttgart managed to score a goal in the third minute of stoppage time through Jamie Leweling, but it wasn't enough to change the outcome. Bayern clinched the trophy for the first time since 2022, which also marks the first time it's been named after club legend Franz Beckenbauer. "That's how we wanted to start the season, with a good feeling and a title," Kane expressed after the match. "It was a short summer break but we've worked hard. But the way we played today was good. It would've been nice if we'd scored one or two more goals, but we moved the ball around well and worked back well as a team." Kompany added: "The title is extra important because it's the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup - that'll always be special for Bayern. It's never easy in Stuttgart, but we came here and delivered. "Obviously we would've liked a longer pre-season, but moaning doesn't help. We've spoken about that. We had the chance to start out with a title. That was our goal and we've achieved it. Today was a good first step."
