Two lucky West Aussies win life-changing division one prizes

Perth Now17-05-2025

Saturday's Lotto saw two lucky West Aussies win a life-changing half a million dollars each after they matched the winning numbers in Saturday night's draw.
Three players won the division one prize of $1,690,125.75. Two out of three of them are from WA and will walk away with a cool $563,375.25 each.
West Aussies were lucky across the board this evening with 12 out of the 42 players pocketing a share of the $14,571 division 2 prize coming from WA.
The winning numbers are 31, 40, 44, 37, 9 and 19. The supplementary numbers are 5 and 11.
Lotto success in the west comes after Friday's millionaire medley saw one Aussie from elsewhere in the country snagging the entire $1 million prize.
As well as leaving you in with a chance of winning, Saturday Lotto ticket sales also contribute to supporting hundred of community organisations across WA.
'Since the start of the year, Saturday Lotto ticket sales have raised more than $38 million for Lotterywest's grants program.' says Lotterywest spokesperson Sarah Dawson.

The Lott seeks to track down lucky winner from Sydney's eastern suburbs who took home $100m Powerball jackpot

Lotto officials are trying to track down the mystery $100 million Powerball jackpot winner who instantly became Australia's newest millionaire. The winning ticket was purchased at an outlet in Sydney's eastern suburbs. However, the person had not registered their details, meaning their identity remains a mystery and they may not have known they won the third-largest prize ever. The winning numbers were 28, 10, 3, 16, 31, 14 and 21. The Powerball was 6. The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart urged Sydneysiders to check their tickets. 'Someone has become an overnight mid-week multi-millionaire but possibly doesn't know it yet. We can't wait for them to discover this winning news! Just imagine how $100 million might change your life and the lives of your nearest and dearest," he said. 'There are 100 million reasons why all Sydney players who had an entry in this week's draw should check their ticket as soon as possible. 'If you discover you're holding the division one winning entry, hold on tight to that ticket and phone 131 868 as soon as possible so we can start the prize claim process." Six other lucky winners claimed the division two prize, taking home $282,415.55 each. There were also 187 winners who took home $11,265.60 each in division three. About half of Australian adults around the country purchased a ticket. In February 2024, a Queensland woman won a record $200m Powerball jackpot. She has since relocated from Hawthorne in Brisbane to a coastal home. 'The last year has flown by. It's hard to believe it's been one year since my life-changing event. I often speak with my partner about the version of us from last year to now, and if only we knew what was to come!" the woman told The Lott earlier this year. She said "not a huge amount has changed" in her life and she is still trying to live life how she did before her win, waking up at 6am for the gym and taking the dog for a walk. "We have purchased a place near the ocean on the coast and continue to create lifelong memories with our beautiful family and friends," the woman added. 'Our local community will be a big focus for 2025. Each day, we're deeply grateful, and we often speak of that day."
