
Suzlon wins 378 MW wind project from NTPC Green Energy; total order book with NGEL reaches 1,544 MW

Suzlon Energy Ltd on April 23 announced a significant order win from NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL) for a 378 MW wind energy project, reinforcing its position as a leading player in India's renewable energy space. With this latest project, Suzlon's total order book with NGEL now stands at 1,544 MW.
As part of the contract, Suzlon will supply 120 units of its S144 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs), each with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW, equipped with Hybrid Lattice Towers (HLT). The project will be executed in the Gadag region of Karnataka. Suzlon will also undertake the foundation, erection, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance for the wind farm.
This marks the second major order from NGEL in under eight months, reflecting the strong and growing partnership between the two companies. NGEL, a subsidiary of NTPC, has set an ambitious target to expand its renewable energy portfolio to 60 GW by 2032.

NTPC completes trial operation of Unit-3 (660 MW) of the North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project
NTPC Limited has announced the successful trial operation of Unit-3 (660 MW) of the North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project (3×660 MW). With the achievement of approved norms and due approvals, the unit is now officially included in NTPC's installed capacity.
