Former GTA 5 and RDR2 animator praises GTA 6 visuals in viral reaction
Source: Rockstar Games
Rockstar's latest
GTA 6 trailer
has generated widespread excitement, catching the attention of even some of the studio's former developers. Mike York, a former
Rockstar animator
on GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, posted his reaction to the new trailer on his YouTube channel, York Street Gaming. His energetic analysis of the visuals and animation has since gone viral, providing a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the game's stunning technical achievements.
Ex-Rockstar animator blown away by GTA 6 graphics in popular reaction video
GTAVI Trailer 2 Reaction from Former Rockstar Dev!
Mike York was visibly shocked at the graphical detail of the trailer in his reaction video, saying,
"Is this game really gonna look like this?"
He made sure to point out that what people are witnessing is not just cinematics, but gameplay footage.
"These are insane"
York stated, praising Rockstar for being able to max out hardware.
York, one of the developers directly engaged in character animation for GTA 5 and RDR2, pointed to the extreme detail in the trailer. From realistic lighting and textures to realistic character movement, he was impressed with how much further Rockstar has pushed environmental and animation realism in GTA 6. He mentioned that even minor details such as shadows, reflections, and street trash appeared to be hand-placed, which indicates an extreme amount of craftsmanship.
Animation detail and Rockstar's visual innovation legacy
York also admired the trailer's background NPCs, saying that each of them seemed to be doing something distinct, drinking, smoking, fighting, or simply existing in the world in a believable manner. This kind of ambient animation is something he says Rockstar has been perfecting for years and now seems to be at an all-new high.
Though York doesn't work at Rockstar anymore, his response carries some merit in light of his first-hand experience with the development process of the studio. He was appreciative of the direction GTA 6 appears to be moving both visually and technically, terming it a
"testament to Rockstar's evolution.'
As excitement mounts for the 2026 launch, responses such as York's help fuel the build-up further. From someone who used to assist in creating the worlds of Red Dead and GTA, his approval is de facto certification for what might be Rockstar's most graphics-heavy title to date.

"The India location has the highest quantity of devs," another wrote. While some also made racist comments such as "With that many Indians, this will be a shitshow." This sparked debate among the fans, and one replying to the same wrote, "Rockstar India, before GTA6, developed the animal ecosystem and food chain for RDR2 game(in 4 years), arguably the most complex yet greatest realistic features ever in gaming history. Racists seething won't change the fact, they're genius devs and the industry needs them." Ex-HYBE employee claims BTS 'absolutely deserved' shareholder position, accused company of unfairly firing her
HYBE chairman Bang Si Hyuk is currently under heavy scrutiny due to his alleged stock manipulation. He was accused of securing profit worth millions of KRW by misleading investors, leading to public allegations of the company's money-mindedness. Amid that, a former HYBE employee mirrored the same sentiments, accusing the company of unfairly evicting her and also mentioned BTS being uninvolved in the matter. Former HYBE employee accused the company of unfairly dismissing her of her position A recent post by former BIGHIT Communications director Elly Chae Eun, on s online forum, surfaced on June 7, KST, and sparked widespread discussion. In her Threads post, Elly Chae Eun claimed that she was forced out of her position by HYBE. She also made veiled comments about HYBE's "greed", which she seemed to imply contributed to her exit. She also mentioned giving her all to the welfare of the company. She revealed caring for 'sons of others' (male K-pop idols managed by the agency)— more than her own precious children. She also revealed the lack of work-life balance during her time as a HYBE employee, due to being overworked. She mentioned ending up with stress symptoms like 7 kg weight loss and extreme hairfall. As per her, even after all her hard work and sacrifices, HYBE failed to recognise her contribution, and thoughtlessly evicted her in 2017. They replaced her and other officials with their own acquaintances. While mentioning acquaintances getting unfairly appointed, she clarified that she did not indicate to the boy band BTS. As per the ex-BIGHIT Communications director, BTS"absolutely deserved everything they achieved" as "those seven were the beginning of HYBE itself." Elly Chae Eun referred to the popular boy band becoming one of the major shareholders of HYBE, and in turn receiving subsequent authority over the company. She said, "I sincerely congratulated the BTS members when they were given shares and became wealthy." However, regarding the others replacing former employees and reaping hundreds of billions of KRW profits without contributing to the building of the HYBE empire, she described it as "Truly evil.

Viral video shows Aaron Rodgers high on ayahuasca in Brazil and fans are losing it
Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers seen in ayahuasca ceremony in Brazil, video goes viral. Just when Steelers fans were warming up to the idea of Aaron Rodgers wearing black and gold, the universe reminded us: this man is unhinged in the most Aaron Rodgers way possible. A resurfaced video showing Rodgers high on ayahuasca during a spiritual retreat in Brazil has gone viral and the internet has no chill. Some fans are in awe, some are concerned, and others? Well, they're just wondering what the locker room is going to think. The viral clip shows Aaron Rodgers mid-ceremony, deep into an ayahuasca experience in Brazil The now-viral footage shows Rodgers in what looks like a traditional ayahuasca ceremony somewhere in Brazil. The dim lighting, rhythmic chanting, and his spaced-out expression make it very clear: this man is deep into the trip. Turns out, it's part of his upcoming Netflix docuseries called Aaron Rodgers: Enigma and the video is from one of the ceremonies that shaped his "personal awakening." Rodgers has long been open about his use of ayahuasca, a powerful hallucinogenic plant brew traditionally used in South American spiritual rituals. It's not illegal there, but the optics? Very intense. Especially when you're the new QB for one of the most traditional franchises in the NFL. Aaron Rodgers says ayahuasca changed his life and his game If you're thinking this is a one-off weird moment, think again. Rodgers has talked openly for years about how ayahuasca helped him mentally, spiritually, and yes, even professionally. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Brits Are Replacing Costly AC's With This Tiny Cooler AiraBreeze Learn More Undo He once credited it with helping him become 'a better teammate' and said it gave him the mental clarity to chase another MVP season. While most quarterbacks stick to weightlifting and tape review, Rodgers was out in the jungle sipping plant medicine with a shaman. And if you think he regrets it? Not even close. He's doubled down in interviews, saying the experience helped him find self-love and purpose. Fans are reacting exactly how you'd expect: wild takes, memes, and chaos Steelers fans were already split on signing the 40-year-old QB, and now... yeah, things are even messier. There's also a ton of confusion about how this footage got released just days after the Steelers officially announced his deal. Coincidence? Rodgers probably doesn't believe in those either. This video didn't surface by accident. It's in his docuseries. He's not hiding it. In fact, he's practically celebrating it. Now the question is: can the ayahuasca QB deliver a playoff run for Pittsburgh? Or are fans in for a whole new kind of trip?
