Fortnite's Leaked Chapter 6, Season 3 Battle Pass Skins Have Yet Another Superhero Ad
Fortnite I'm not sure exactly when the switch was flipped here, but at some point, Fortnite went from adding IPs that created a cool metaverse vibe to feeling like an overstuffed ad-based universe. I get that the lines are blurry, but more than ever it feels a bit exhausting when they're doing stuff like scraping the barrel of Star Wars relevancy with Darth Jar Jar skins. Now, that's about to happen again with Chapter 6, Season 3, which will arrive after the Death Star sabotage event tomorrow, June 7. The leaked theme of the season is reportedly about superheroes, and joins at least a hundred superhero skins we already have in the game, with some Fortnite original skins given a superhero twist in this season. But of course, more existing superheroes are coming. The ad in question will be the release of a DCU David Corenswet Superman skin modeled after the actor, ahead of the James Gunn film launching on July 11, which will be in the middle of the season, called 'Super.' Also the super-dog, Krypto, will appear in the season. No word on other characters yet like Lex Luthor, Mr. Terrific, Hawkgirl or others who appear in the film, but it's possible they may be coming down the line. There has already been a Clark Kent/Superman skin in Fortnite before this, but that was a more generic, comic-inspired version rather than this specific Corenswet one which, if you ask me, looks a little odd. Superman is not the only superhero arriving in this themed season. One other one that's been confirmed is DC's Robin, Tim Drake edition which many fans are curious about, and some wanted a different one, it seems. There are almost certainly going to be more superhero skins as the season goes on, but these are just the ones that have leaked so far, in addition to some concept art-drafted skins and some updates versions of old favorites. There are also upcoming collabs with Squid Game (naturally to coincide with the release of the third season) and One-Punch Man. That will all end with the Death Star (maybe?) blowing up part of the map or being blown up itself in tomorrow's event. I get that I'm picking on DC and the Superman movie here, and it's not just Fortnite who does this, but these crossovers are feeling increasingly less cool and more cynical as time goes on. I don't think I'm alone in thinking that. Follow me on Twitter, YouTube, Bluesky and Instagram. Pick up my sci-fi novels the Herokiller series and The Earthborn Trilogy.

Top WWE Superstar Pitches One More Match With John Cena
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Seth Rollins has expressed a strong desire to share the ring with John Cena one more time before the 17-time World Champion's retirement at the end of 2025. In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Rollins called out his former rival, referencing their heated history. This comes as Cena is in the midst of his final year as an active competitor, a heel "retirement tour" as the Undisputed WWE Champion. This has led many WWE fans to speculate about which classic rivalries Cena might revisit before he hangs up his boots for good. When asked about facing Cena again, Rollins stated, "I hope so. I hope so." He then referenced a more recent, positive experience teaming with Cena in India in September 2023. "John and I teamed a couple of years ago in India at a random show, a wonderful show there. I teamed with him and it was one of the wildest experiences I've ever had in a ring." Despite their successful team-up, Rollins made his competitive intentions clear. "I would love to face off with him one more time and get another chance to break his big old nose," Rollins declared. He immediately warned: "This knee is coming for you, John. I'd love to get one in before he hangs it up." LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - APRIL 20: John Cena walks to the ring as he is introduced before his match against Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship during WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium on April 20, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada. MoreMore news: WWE News: Steve Austin Reveals Real-Life Vince McMahon Confrontation Rollins' comment about breaking Cena's nose directly references their famous feud in 2014 and 2015. On the July 27, 2015, episode of Raw, Rollins' knee strike legitimately broke Cena's nose during a match. Their rivalry was a cornerstone of WWE programming during that era, culminating in a "Winner Take All" match at SummerSlam 2015, where Rollins defeated Cena to hold both the WWE and United States Championships. Currently, both men are top heels on their respective brands. Rollins is a leader of a new dominant faction on Raw and is a participant in this Saturday's Money in the Bank ladder match. Cena, aligned with Logan Paul, is set to face Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso in a major tag team match at the same premium live event. With Cena's retirement tour ending in December, the window for a final, epic showdown between the two former rivals is closing. More WWE News: For more on WWE, head to Newsweek Sports.

Owner Leaves Dog Alone With Relaxing Music—Unprepared for What Petcam Shows
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A viral video of an American XL bully named Ragnar has warmed the hearts of viewers on TikTok—thanks to his hilariously chill reaction to some relaxing tunes. The video, which was posted to Instagram by the pet's owners on June 4, shows Ragnar fully sprawled out on his dog bed, front legs extended and head buried contently on the cushion, exuding total peace. An overlaid text on the video added more context: "Left my dog home alone with relaxing music… This is what I saw when I checked the camera… I think it worked." The caption read: "10/10 would recommend dog relaxing music!" There is some science behind the lighthearted post, because music—particularly classical music—is proven to have a soothing effect on dogs. Research by the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) and the University of Glasgow found that classical music can reduce stress levels in canines a significant amount. In the 2015 study, researchers observed dogs in a shelter and found a notable decrease in stress behaviors, such as barking and pacing, when classical music was played around them. The American Kennel Club also recommends soft classical or reggae music for dogs who suffer from separation anxiety, noting that the rhythm and tempo help promote a sense of stability and security. Since it was posted, the video from @ragnarthebullyxl has racked up over 400,000 likes and more than 1.4 million views on the platform. The comments section is flooded with users expressing laughter and amazement at the canine's tranquil state, with one commenter writing, "Dude's sleeping like he pays the bills." "'Pit bulls are mean' literally pit bulls:" Another viewer said. "Now I feel better for leaving my dog relaxing music," another added. "OMG I do this for my dog everyday when I'm out and she is always dead asleep," a third viewer shared. "Him sleeping like that while [you are] at work paying for that TV to stay on so he can listen to his music," another said. "This is literally what my dog does if not he's watching Bluey and people get made I leave him alone trust me he's living his life," another added.
