
IMD forecasts cloudy sky with moderate rain in Delhi

New Delhi, Jul 28 (PTI) The national capital recorded a minimum temperature of 28.4 degrees Celsius, 1.1 notches above the season's average on Monday morning.
According to the the India Meteorological Department (IMD) the maximum temperature is expected to rise to around 37.5 degrees Celsius.
Delhiites can expect a cloudy sky with moderate rain during the day, according to the IMD.
At 8:30 am, humidity levels were recorded at 76 per cent.
Meanwhile, Delhi residents started their day with 'satisfactory" air quality as the Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 65 on Monday.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), An AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good", 51 and 100 'satisfactory", 101 and 200 'moderate", 201 and 300 'poor", 301 and 400 'very poor", and 401 and 500 'severe". PTI MHS MNK MNK

Light rain and humid weather recorded in Delhi on sunday
New Delhi: Parts of the city experienced light to very light rain on Sunday morning, even as several areas recorded rain from late Saturday night until the early morning hours. India Meteorological Department (IMD) earlier forecast that the city was likely to see light to moderate rain on Monday. However, it later revised this to light to very light rain, and no colour-coded warning was issued. Meanwhile, no major rain occurred on Sunday, while the day turned humid with a heat index or 'feels like' temperature of 43.9 degrees Celsius at 3 pm. Isolated areas of the city recorded drizzling, with Pragati Maidan recording 0.1mm and Pusa recording 0.5mm of rainfall respectively between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm. The base station at Safdarjung recorded no rain, however, between 8.30 am Saturday and 8.30 am Sunday, it recorded 16.7mm of rainfall. Meanwhile, the maximum temperature on Sunday at Safdarjung was recorded at 34.3 degrees Celsius, normal for the season, against 33.7 degrees Celsius a day earlier. The minimum temperature was recorded at 24.2 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal, against 25.7 degrees Celsius a day earlier. IMD issues orange alert in 8 districts of Gujarat
Gandhinagar: India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Mahisagar, Aravalli, Gandhinagar, Mahesana, Khera, Sabar Kantha, Dahod, and Panchmahal districts of Gujarat. Moderate rain and thunder showers are expected to take place in these districts, which can cause waterlogging, leading to traffic congestion. IMD has also issued a yellow warning for Kachchh, Banaskantha, Patan, Surendranagar, Ahmadabad, Anand, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Bharuch, Narmada, Surat, Tapi, Dangs, Navsari, and Valsad districts of the state.
