Sephora shoppers say £30 scent is 'perfect for summer'

Daily Mirror16-05-2025

'I sprayed this perfume and did a whole workout and swam in the ocean and the scent was still there. I couldn't believe how long this lasted.'
Sephora shoppers are raving over a 'perfect summer scent' that's available for £30. Candied Lychee by The 7 Virtues has been praised for its sweet and floral take on the fruity note that fragrance fans are loving.
It opens up with a bright lychee note before settling into a floral heart of peony and rounding out with crystal amber and vanilla in the base. Lychee, vanilla and peony also make appearances in cult classic Delina by Parfums de Marly (£165 for 30ml), although Delina is said to be more powdery.
Lychee has been quite a popular note in recent years, with Kayali's Eden Sparkling Lychee (£73 for 50ml) being a fast favourite. As the name suggests lychee is the star of the scent although other fruits and violet flowers make an appearance.
Candied Lychee has pulled in an impressive 448 perfect five-star reviews, with one shopper saying: "This is a beautiful fragrance. It smells like a fresh lychee—sweet and a bit floral. I think it will be a perfect summer scent for me."
A second penned: "I sprayed this perfume and did a whole workout and swam in the ocean and the scent was STILL there! I couldn't believe how long this lasted. This is my go-to everyday scent and it's perfect for summer in my opinion!"
But a third reviewer was not totally impressed, saying: "Smells amazing but unfortunately does not have a staying power on my skin. That was so disappointing because I wish everyone could smell how good it is."
A fourth added: "If you're a fan of sweet yet sophisticated scents, Candied Lychee is a must-try. It's perfect for those looking to add a fresh, fun, and feminine fragrance to their collection."
It's always worth paying attention to application when applying a perfume. A tip is to generously apply perfume to all pulse points - in particular when skin is freshly washed and moisturised - for the most longevity.
Shoppers can get their hands on the 'must-try' Candied Lychee for £30 a bottle on Sephora.

Sephora shoppers say 'run don't walk' for perfume that smells of beach days

Sephora shoppers say 'run don't walk' for perfume that smells of beach days 'Run don't walk to buy this! I just love love love this scent! I can't get enough of it. I just want to smell like the beach and coconuts and not many scents wow me in that regard. This one is amazing and I am in love.' Sephora shoppers say 'run don't walk' for perfume that smells of beach days (Image: Getty Images/Image Source ) Sephora shoppers are swearing there's a must-have scent this summer and that we should run for it. NEST New York has a range of perfume oils on the market but it's their Balinese Coconut drawing in attention. Balinese Coconut is a simple blend of coconut, tiare blossom and salted musk that creates a beachy scent perfect for warmer months. Bali is proving popular this summer for perfume inspiration with Jo Malone fans raving over Frangipani Flower (£58) which is said to smell just like the beaches in Bali. This perfume oil is small enough to slip into handbags but would likely pair well with Phlur's Beach Skin (£25) which it shares some notes with - although Beach Skin has pink pepper, sandalwood and the addition of bergamot. This one is amazing and I am in love." A second penned: "I absolutely love the smell of this perfume! It smells like a warm summer beach day filled with coconuts and sunshine. It's a subtle scent and it shifts as the day goes on but lasts! I also love Beach Walk by MM, so if you like that scent you'll love this." One shopper wasn't thrilled with the longevity of the coconut note, writing: "I really wanted to love this. Coconut is one of my favourite fragrances and I was so excited to see that Nest created a coconut scented body oil. Upon first sniff the coconut is creamy and sweet. Unfortunately, the beautiful coconut note fades and all that's left is the smell of spicy sandalwood with hints of warm vanilla."
