Cherry Ambition by The 7 Virtues costs £85 for a 50ml bottle and has hundreds of five-star reviews. It opens up with a bright cherry note alongside pink pepper, marshmallow and mandarin orange. The heart is made up of a blend of saffron, cherry blossom, osmanthus and orris before settling into frankincense, vanilla, amber, guaiac wood and musk. It's been compared to Tom Ford's Lost Cherry, which typically retails at £290 for a 50ml bottle, as well as Kayali's Lovefest Burning Cherry, which is more affordable at £73 for 50ml but has been dubbed too rich by some shoppers. One shopper said: "I was worried it would smell too smoky or powdery, as cherry perfumes often do, but the top note is just fresh cherries. I love layering it with a vanilla body spray to get my signature scent." A second penned: "This is definitely one of a go to perfumes. I recently started getting into cherry smells and this one is so good! The notes are a bit off though. I don't get any marshmallow or vanilla in this at all. It's almost like a spicy black cherry smell with a hint of boozy cognac. I love this scent it lasts and lingers. I've gotten so many compliments wearing this perfume!" Sephora shoppers say £30 scent is 'perfect for summer'
'I sprayed this perfume and did a whole workout and swam in the ocean and the scent was still there. I couldn't believe how long this lasted.' Sephora shoppers are raving over a 'perfect summer scent' that's available for £30. Candied Lychee by The 7 Virtues has been praised for its sweet and floral take on the fruity note that fragrance fans are loving. It opens up with a bright lychee note before settling into a floral heart of peony and rounding out with crystal amber and vanilla in the base. Lychee, vanilla and peony also make appearances in cult classic Delina by Parfums de Marly (£165 for 30ml), although Delina is said to be more powdery. Lychee has been quite a popular note in recent years, with Kayali's Eden Sparkling Lychee (£73 for 50ml) being a fast favourite. As the name suggests lychee is the star of the scent although other fruits and violet flowers make an appearance. Candied Lychee has pulled in an impressive 448 perfect five-star reviews, with one shopper saying: "This is a beautiful fragrance. It smells like a fresh lychee—sweet and a bit floral. I think it will be a perfect summer scent for me." A second penned: "I sprayed this perfume and did a whole workout and swam in the ocean and the scent was STILL there! I couldn't believe how long this lasted. This is my go-to everyday scent and it's perfect for summer in my opinion!" But a third reviewer was not totally impressed, saying: "Smells amazing but unfortunately does not have a staying power on my skin. That was so disappointing because I wish everyone could smell how good it is." A fourth added: "If you're a fan of sweet yet sophisticated scents, Candied Lychee is a must-try. It's perfect for those looking to add a fresh, fun, and feminine fragrance to their collection." It's always worth paying attention to application when applying a perfume.
