Leicester City face battle to keep hold of prolific teenager - with Nottingham Forest among the clubs interested in starlet who scored 41 last season
Nottingham Forest are monitoring developments with Leicester City 's highly rated youngster Lorenz Hutchinson.
The 17-year-old forward has been in prolific form for Leicester's U18s over the past two seasons and staff at the club are excited by his potential and the prospect they could have another future star on their hands from the academy.
Talks have been taking place over a professional contract; however, Mail Sport understands that, with an agreement still to be reached, a number of Premier League clubs have been alerted by his situation.
Midlands neighbours Nottingham Forest are among those who are well aware of Hutchinson and are watching developments.
Many scouts first took note last season when Hutchinson scored an impressive 41 goals and made 14 assists in 29 games.
This time around, despite Leicester's U18s struggling and finishing second from bottom of the U18s Premier League south division, Hutchinson has still managed to score 12 goals in 18 games this campaign, including a hat-trick against West Ham.
Leicester are in the throes of replacing first-team manager Ruud van Nistelrooy with Russell Martin.
The former Southampton boss is likely to lean heavily on Leicester's burgeoning academy especially with potential PSR punishment and restrictions to come.
He would be loath to lose any prospects such as Hutchinson who could make an impact at a higher level in the near future.
