Vodafone Oman returns to the Muscat International Book Fair
Under the theme 'Alam Al Maarifa', Vodafone's participation reflects its belief that knowledge is not one-size-fits-all; it is personal, evolving, and deeply connected to everyday life. The space is an open platform for discovery, where young minds can discover ideas and explore conversations that speak to their world. At the centre of it all are a series of interactive discussions and workshops featuring voices from across Oman's creative and intellectual landscape. From storytelling and travel to music and coffee culture, the sessions promise engaging discussions and inspirational reflections.
Vodafone's participation this year reaffirms its belief that technology, when placed in the right context, can open new pathways to knowledge, curiosity, and personal growth. 'Alam Al Maarifa' is a continuation of the company's commitment to being where young people are, understanding what drives them, and responding with tools that are relevant to their lives. Whether it's access to a book, a conversation that inspires, or a solution that simplifies their day, Vodafone is working to redefine what it means to be a telecom partner in today's world; one that listens, adapts, and grows alongside its community.

Vodafone taps Amagi as partner for new FAST TV offering on GigaTV
This engagement is being delivered through Amagi's FASTKit solution, an end-to-end framework for launching and scaling FAST services with minimal platform lift. Amagi, a provider of cloud-based SaaS technology solutions for broadcast and streaming television, has been chosen by Vodafone as the technical service provider and content aggregator for its newly launched FAST (Free Ad-supported Streaming TV) initiative. The new service officially debuted in Germany in July 2025, marking Vodafone's entry into the growing FAST segment. As part of the agreement, Amagi will serve as Vodafone's key partner in delivering the FAST experience, offering a comprehensive mix of technology, channel delivery coordination, and content monetisation capabilities. Vodafone Germany rolled out the first seven FAST channels on its GigaTV platform on July 3, 2025. The collaboration is powered by Amagi's FASTKit solution, a turnkey framework designed to simplify the deployment and scaling of FAST services. FASTKit integrates Amagi's cloud infrastructure with end-to-end content operations, including metadata and EPG packaging, ad monetisation and access to a curated catalog of FAST-ready programming. The channels are fully embedded into Vodafone's latest generation of GigaTV set-top boxes, featured directly in the Electronic Program Guide (EPG), eliminating the need for users to install any additional apps. Commenting on the partnership, Emma Jones, Global Head of Content at Vodafone Group, said: 'This partnership underscores our priority to broaden content choice efficiently. Amagi's cloud-native FAST origination and distribution services enable us to introduce new channel line-ups swiftly, manage inventory centrally, and deliver a consistent experience to our customers.' The partnership reinforces Amagi's growing role in enabling global media companies to adopt agile, cloud-based solutions for delivering next-generation TV experiences, while helping Vodafone establish a competitive foothold in the rapidly evolving FAST market. Sridhar Sinnasamy, Sr. Vice President and business leader for FASTKit at Amagi, added: 'This is a milestone FASTKit deployment for us in Europe — one that aims to combine technology, content operations, and monetization as a fully managed solution. Vodafone's launch in Germany demonstrates how platforms can scale FAST quickly and effectively when the foundation is right. With Amagi's FASTKit, we aim to help partners accelerate time-to-market, reduce operational friction, and unlock new revenue streams — all while delivering a compelling viewing experience.' Amagi provides cloud-managed video infrastructure for live, on-demand, and OTT TV. The company has a presence in the EMEA markets, and its clients include some of the world's biggest names in the Media and Entertainment industry.

Vodafone Oman invites everyone to ‘Live It Right' this Khareef
Muscat: Vodafone is returning to Dhofar this Khareef with a renewed vision for the season. Under the theme 'Live it Right', the 2025 campaign builds on the company's long-standing commitment to bringing people together in ways that are meaningful, accessible, and memorable through seamless digital connectivity, purpose-led community engagement, and hospitality rooted in place. 'Each year, Khareef becomes an opportunity for us to deepen our presence, not just through visibility, but through value', said Usama Al Saifi, Vodafone Oman's Head of Brand and Communications. ''Live it Right' is our response to evolving expectations in Dhofar, and a reflection of how we see technology, culture, and community coming together. Whether it's through a stronger network, smarter products, or engaging spaces, our aim is to show what Khareef is all about.' Bringing this vision to life, 'Live it Right' introduces immersive spaces designed to deliver interactive and memorable experiences for Khareef visitors across Dhofar. These include eight unique activation zones in key locations such as Al Haffa, Ittin, and Al Dahareez. The main highlight this year is Vodafone's Viewpoint at Samharam Resort in Awqad, held in collaboration with local SMEs 'Estikana' and 'Ladh'. This social hub serves as a physical extension of the campaign message, offering a haven where digital and real-world connections come together, and where everyday stops become moments of recharge, reflection, and simple pleasure. Complementing the experience, Vodafone's 5G network continues to be a driving force behind the season. As Oman's only fully digital network, it offers high-speed, low-latency 5G connectivity across key areas in Dhofar, supporting the movement, pace, and spontaneity that define Khareef. From coastal roads to mountain peaks, the network ensures that residents and visitors stay connected with ease and reliability. Supporting this is Makani Internet, Vodafone's portable connectivity solution that adapts to life on the move, allowing users to stay online wherever the season takes them. To further enhance the visitor experience, Vodafone has introduced a dedicated Khareef Visitor Pack starting from OMR 10. Designed for maximum convenience, it offers unlimited data and local calls plus international minutes, so travellers can explore Dhofar without interruption or worry.
