Sheikh Al-Muaiqly to lead Eid prayers at Makkah Grand Mosque

MAKKAH — The Presidency of the Religious Affairs at the Two Holy Mosques has confirmed the appointment of Sheikh Maher Al-Muaiqly, imam and preacher of the Grand Mosque in Makkah, to lead the Eid Al-Adha prayers and deliver the sermon at the holy mosque.
Eid prayers will be held at 5:52 a.m. on Friday, June 6. It is noteworthy that a group of pilgrims will flock to the Grand Mosque from the morning of the first day of Eid Al-Adha (the Day of Sacrifice) to perform the Tawaf Al-Ifadah, one of the pillars of Hajj.
A royal decree has been issued recently appointing eminent Saudi scholar Sheikh Saleh Bin Humaid, imam and preacher of the Grand Mosque and member of the Council of Senior Scholars, to lead the prayer and deliver sermon on the Day of Arafat.

For hydration, 70 water chillers have been installed, each capable of serving 2,000 pilgrims per hour, totaling a capacity of 140,000 pilgrims per hour. An advanced audio system and security surveillance cameras have also been integrated to boost safety and security. Furthermore, the mosque's 72 gates and entrances have been strategically organized to ensure a smooth flow of pilgrims. These extensive tasks were carried out by dedicated supervisory and service teams committed to providing the best services to pilgrims.

50 Saudis and expats penalized for transporting 205 unauthorized pilgrims
Saudi Gazette report MINA — The Ministry of Interior has penalized 50 people, including 35 Saudi citizens and 15 expatriates, for violating the Hajj regulations. The ministry announced that the Hajj Security Forces arrested them at the entry points to Makkah while transporting a total of 205 individuals without Hajj permits. The ministry issued administrative decisions through the seasonal administrative committees against the transporters, their accomplices, and those who were provided with transportation. The penalties included imprisonment, fines of up to SR100,000, publicizing names of violators in the local media at their own expense, and deportation of residents with a 10-year ban from re-entering Saudi Arabia after serving their sentence. The ministry also called for the judicial confiscation of vehicles used in the unauthorized transport of pilgrims and the imposition of a fine of up to SR20,000 on those, who attempted to perform Hajj without a permit. The ministry urged all citizens and residents to comply with Hajj regulations to ensure the safety of pilgrims.

Minister of endowments thanks Saudi Arabia for caring for Syrian pilgrims
LONDON: Syrian Minister of Endowments Muhammad Abu Al-Khair Shukri praised Saudi Arabia's hospitality and care for pilgrims during a meeting with his Saudi counterpart, Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, in Makkah on Wednesday.
