Cision Canada12-05-2025

VANCOUVER, BC, May 12, 2025 /CNW/ - P2 Gold Inc. ("P2" or the "Company") (TSX-V:PGLD) (OTCQB:PGLDF) reports that its management team has been retained to augment the leadership at Tudor Gold Corp. ("Tudor Gold") and; ongoing metallurgical testwork from a sample collected and assayed from the Sullivan Zone at its wholly-owned, gold-copper Gabbs Project has demonstrated an increase in copper and gold recoveries.
Management Update
P2's senior management team has been retained by Tudor Gold in support of the advance their flagship gold-copper Treaty Creek Project located roughly 10 kilometers north of the Brucejack Mine in British Columbia's Golden Triangle. P2's wholly-owned Gabbs Project in Nevada will continue to be advanced as planned, with senior management and Board owning 23% of the Company's issued and outstanding shares. Members of P2's team were instrumental in the discovery, permitting, construction, and operation of the Brucejack Mine while at Pretium Resources Inc. and have the capacity and capability of driving the Treaty Creek Project and Gabbs Project forward concurrently.
2025 Metallurgical Testwork
The Phase Three Metallurgical Program underway at Gabbs is focused on increasing copper, silver and gold recoveries of the oxide mineralization and providing a marketing sample of the copper-silver SART (sulphidization, acidification, recycling and thickening) concentrate.
Results to date indicate far superior kinetics to prior test work, with recoveries for gold, silver and copper exceeding recoveries of prior test work at this stage of the program. The Phase Three Metallurgical Program is expected to be completed early in the third quarter of this year. The Company has retained Kappes, Cassiday & Associates ("KCA") in Reno, Nevada to carry out the Phase Three Metallurgical Program.
As reported on April 3, 2025, a 338-kilogram panel sample (the "Panel Sample"), measuring approximately 1 meter by 30 meters, was collected across the exposed oxide mineralization in a 10-meter-deep historic excavation at the Sullivan Zone at Gabbs. In addition, the remaining low, medium, and high-grade samples from drill core used in the previous metallurgical programs were composited into one sample (the "Composited Sample"). The Phase Three Metallurgical Program consists of leach testing approximately 150 kilograms of the Panel Sample in a 20-centimeter diameter column and approximately 20 kilograms of the Composited Sample in a 10-centimeter column. (See news release dated April 3, 2025.)
Preliminary Economic Assessment Economics at Spot Prices
Using existing recoveries (78% for oxide gold mineralization and 54% for oxide copper mineralization) Gabbs has an internal rate of return of 54.9% and net present value at a 5% discount rate of over US$1.6 billion at May 9, 2025 spot metal prices of $3,335 gold, $32.67 silver and $4.30 copper. (See the Company's preliminary economic assessment announced on May 22, 2024 and described in the Gabbs Technical Report dated May 17, 2024 available under the Company's profile on SEDAR+ at www.sedarplus.com.)

'(Build) The Biggest, Baddest CPU': Intel Stock (NASDAQ:INTC) Notches up Despite Ironic Twist

This might have been the unkindest cut that chip stock Intel (INTC) could have received. Sure, yesterday and its potential loss of CHIPS Act funding was a low blow, no mistake there, but it only got worse as new reports revealed that several Intel staffers were leaving Intel to do exactly what Intel would have needed them to do: build the 'biggest, baddest CPU' around. Shareholders took the news well, though, and sent shares up fractionally in Friday afternoon's trading. Confident Investing Starts Here: Easily unpack a company's performance with TipRanks' new KPI Data for smart investment decisions Receive undervalued, market resilient stocks right to your inbox with TipRanks' Smart Value Newsletter Four of Intel's biggest names in research—who together had a combined experience of almost a century at Intel—departed the company in a plan to build a totally new kind of microprocessor. They will be using a kind of architecture that is completely different from Intel's, reports note, and in the process, hopefully show up their former bosses in the process. The four started their own company, called AheadComputing, and is working on an open style of architecture known as Reduced Instruction Set Computer – V, or RISC-V. The result, AheadComputing hopes, will be a processor that does fewer things than the current processor concept, but does this comparative handful of things better than the current processor does them. Essentially, reports note, the four are risking that AheadComputing—a vastly smaller company—will be able to move faster and better than Intel. Given Intel's new 'risk-averse' nature that we discovered yesterday with the 50% gross profit concept, they may not be wrong. But what has Intel missed out on in the process? Roadmapping an Uncertain Future But life goes on at Intel, reports note, and word notes that the Intel Foundry Direct Connect 2025 event is showing off its roadmaps and its partnerships. Intel Foundry, of course, is the chip manufacturing portion of Intel, and the one which has perhaps come under the most fire of late. But Intel looks to start delivering under the 18A process this year, and that should go a long way toward re-establishing Intel's dominance as a chip maker. Naturally, it is unclear as yet how much capacity 18A will have overall, and how much of that capacity can go to making other companies' chips. Early word suggests that everything is on schedule, so that will, at least, not be a problem. And with 14A and 14A-E waiting in the wings, it is entirely possible that Intel may be able to keep the streak going and come out ahead in the end. Is Intel a Buy, Hold or Sell? Turning to Wall Street, analysts have a Hold consensus rating on INTC stock based on two Buys, 25 Holds and four Sells assigned in the past three months, as indicated by the graphic below. After a 34.97% loss in its share price over the past year, the average INTC price target of $21.29 per share implies 5.63% upside potential. Weekend sampler: 3 micro-cap stocks to watch

With the TSX up by 5.7 per cent over the past month, just shy of its all-time-high, driven by a rebound in the price of oil, and the S&P 500 following suit, up by 6.8 per cent, emboldened by strong U.S. jobs data, investors are growing increasingly immune to Trump's tariff bluster. They're realizing that he's but one among many short-term headwinds, along with wars, recessions and a diversity of cultural conflicts, which stocks have proven more than capable of overcoming on their way to delivering attractive long-term returns. While financial media has a vested interest in making you worry about next quarter's earnings or the effects of a single central bank interest rate decision, fundamentals and value will always prevail in the end. This means it's always the right time to consider stocks with the potential to reward patient investors, grounded in the understanding that short-term volatility is the price of long-term gains. To this end, as you kick your feet up and kick off the well-deserved weekend, here are three fundamentally attractive micro-cap stocks for your perusing pleasure, each of them worth a deep dive towards a potential investment thanks to positive earnings per share year-over-year and evidence for keeping the profits flowing into the future. BQE Water Our first micro-cap stock pick, BQE Water (TSXV:BQE), market cap C$65.93 million, last trading at C$51 per share, specializes in water treatment and management for the mining, smelting and refining markets. Although the stock has added 363 per cent since 2020, supported by more than 100 per cent revenue and net income growth – including a strong Q1 2025 – it's down by 20 per cent year-over-year, likely discounting numerous projects near completion expected to drive growth through year-end. Olympia Financial Group Our second micro-cap stock pick, Olympia Financial (TSX:OLY), market cap C$266.57 million, last trading at C$110.78, administers self-directed registered plan accounts, corporate trusts, transfer agency services, currency exchange, global payments, private health plans and information technology services in the Canadian market. The company more than doubled revenue from C$48.62 million in 2020 to C$102.92 million in 2024, while tripling net income over the period from C$7.99 million to C$23.92 million, respectively, following this up with a steady Q1 2025 marked by a growing client base. Under the care of a long-tenured management team with 34-per-cent insider ownership, Olympia is in the midst of a multi-pronged growth plan (slide 25) to expand its established position in private markets, granting investors a data-driven thesis for meaningful gains, despite the stock adding 184 per cent since 2020. ADF Group Our final micro-cap stock to watch, ADF Group (TSX:DRX), market cap C$188.29 million, last trading at C$6.70, is a top designer and engineer of steel structures for the North American non-residential infrastructure sector. The company's over 65-year track record includes infrastructure projects spanning airports, stadiums, factories and office towers, with a current capacity to manufacture 125,000 tons of structural steel per year. If we look at ADF's past five years, we see expanding market share justified by accelerating profits. This includes revenue growth from C$172.59 million in fiscal 2021 to C$339.63 million in fiscal 2025, proven efficient by net income growth from C$6.87 million to C$56.79 million over the period. Tariff fears have since hit the stock with steep losses to the tune of 60 per cent year-over-year – most recently hampered by an increase in U.S. steel tariffs which Canada may reciprocate – with new contracts slowing and lower expected revenue and margins through the fiscal year ending January 2026. That said, the stock remains up by more than 500 per cent since 2020 – including the year-over-year loss – thanks to management's stellar operational track record. While tariff uncertainty is peaking at the moment, the high likelihood of a reasonable resolution between Canada and the U.S., given that they're commercially tied-at-the-hip, puts the profitable ADF on a path to retracing recent losses, fueled by an over C$400 million backlog as of January 2025.
