Woman dead, man arrested in Richmond, B.C., homicide: RCMP
A woman is dead and a man has been arrested after a homicide in Richmond Friday morning, according to local Mounties.
Officers were called to the 8600 block of Capstan Way around 10:40 a.m. for 'a report of a serious incident at a residential unit,' the Richmond RCMP said in a news release.
Images from the scene show police gathered outside the entrance to a highrise building.
Police said they arrived to find a female victim, who was taken to hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.
'A male suspect has been arrested,' police added. They did not elaborate on when or where he was taken into custody.
The Lower Mainland's Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken over the case, and Richmond RCMP asked anyone with information to contact IHIT's information line at 877-551-4448 or to email ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.

Shooting in Scarborough leaves one person injured

One person seriously injured in stabbing near Dufferin and Bloor

Emergency services were called to a residential neighbourhood near Bloor Street West and Russett Avenue, west of Dufferin Street, around 4 p.m. Toronto paramedics say the victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Police are searching for a suspect described as a Black male, six-feet tall, between 40 and 50 years old and was wearing black jacket, pants, a black baseball hat and glasses. He was last seen northbound on Dufferin Street. The circumstances that led to the stabbing are not immediately known.
