American TelePhysicians to Build Virtual Hospital in Jordan with UAE, Jordanian Governments & Industry Leaders

JACKSONVILLE, FL, UNITED STATES, February 18, 2025 / EINPresswire.com / -- American TelePhysicians (ATP) proudly announces its selection by the UAE and Jordanian Governments to develop a cutting- edge Virtual Hospital, in partnership with international industry leaders like Experia, Philips, Electronic Health Solutions (Hakeem), Presight, and Malaffi (Abu Dhabi Health Information Exchange). This transformative project is funded by the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development as part of its AED 370 million initiative to revolutionize Jordan's healthcare sector.
The Virtual Hospital will establish a unified, AI-powered digital healthcare platform integrating specialty care systems, linking healthcare facilities across Jordan with a central healthcare command center staffed by multi-specialist physicians and clinical teams. This innovative ecosystem aims to improve healthcare access, enhance patient outcomes, and reduce costs across the region.
As part of the Virtual Hospital initiative, ATP will design and implement an integrated digital front door for the hospital as a gateway for various speciality care platforms. ATP will also deploy its AI-powered virtual kidney care platform, NephroX, which will connect dialysis units with virtual nephrologists and nurses for real-time patient monitoring and timely interventions. This innovative system will not only provide rural hospitals with access to specialist physicians but will also support on-site staff in providing excellent care and preventing hospitalizations. In Phase 2, ATP will digitize the entire kidney care ecosystem to enable a value-based care mode focused on prevention of kidney diseases and efficient care navigation.
'As a Florida-based American company specializing in building smart healthcare ecosystems, we are honored to contribute to this innovative international venture that will transform the healthcare of millions of people and set future standards for smart healthcare globally,' said Dr. Waqas Ahmed, Founder and CEO of American TelePhysicians. 'This project is a testament to the power of collaboration and innovation, and we are grateful to our visionary partners and government organizations for their trust and support.'

'By integrating technology, expertise, and collaboration, we are building a foundation for smarter, more accessible healthcare worldwide.'
ATP extends its gratitude to the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Commercial Service, U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), and Select Florida for their relentless support in assisting innovative companies with international expansion opportunities. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our collaborators, partner organizations and their leadership team- Ahmad AlShamlih (CEO Experia), Dr. Samir Said, M.D. (Healthcare Informatics Leader Philips), Presight, and Electronic Health Solutions (Hakeem)—as well as to the government entities Malaffi, the Ministry of Health - Jordan, and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MODEE) for their invaluable trust and support in our vision and mission.

Teen nicknamed ‘Big Balls' leaves Trump's cost-cutting team after exposing wasteful spending

A White House official confirmed to Fox News that a teenaged employee with the nickname 'Big Balls' has resigned from his post at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), adding to the recent shakeup within the department. The now-former DOGE employee – whose real name is Edward Coristine – told Fox News Anchor Jesse Watters last month that his nickname originally came from his LinkedIn social media account. 'I use it as my LinkedIn username,' Coristine told Watters, prompting laughter from the host as well as DOGE leader Elon Musk and the rest of his team at the interview. 'Well, people on LinkedIn take themselves super seriously, and they're pretty averse to risk, and I was like, 'Well, I want to be neither of those things.' So, I just, I set it and honestly, I didn't think anybody would notice,' the DOGE employee continued, mocking the career-focused social media platform. A 19-year-old college student and software developer, Coristine was criticized by Democrats and liberal media pundits during DOGE's first few weeks of investigating wasteful and fraudulent spending in the federal government. 3 Teen Edward Coristine, who goes by the nickname Big Balls, resigned from his position at DOGE. Fox News Many were upset about the young, irreverently named government employee being given access to government records to pursue DOGE's work. During his interview with Watters, Coristine said he had been looking through US Treasury Department payment computers and finding a multitude of outgoing payments from the federal government that lacked details about who they were going to and why. 'So, one of our initiatives is to root out fraud and waste, and to do that we started looking at the payment computers. And, as mentioned earlier, there's no accounting of what payments actually go to in the payment computer,' Coristine said. 'You look at a specific line item — $20 million. You're like, 'OK, what is this money going to?' And for the majority of payment systems, it's like, 'Well, we don't really know.'' 3 Elon Musk shakes hands with President Donald Trump at the 2025 NCAA wrestling championship in Philadelphia, Penn. on March 22, 2025. AP He continued, saying the system that distributes taxpayer money 'literally has no checks and no accountability' to the American taxpayer, adding that it is a 'huge vector for fraud, waste, and abuse.' Coristine's resignation comes less than a month after Musk departed from the agency. Musk's departure was followed by the departure of several other staffers and special government employees at DOGE, which now includes Coristine. While DOGE was tasked with cutting $2 trillion from the budget, its efforts have led to roughly $180 billion in savings due to asset sales, contract cancellations, fraud payment cuts and other ways to eliminate costs, according to an update on DOGE's website. The savings translate to about $1,118 in savings per taxpayer, the website notes. Fox News Digital's Gabriel Hays contributed to this report.

U.S. offers reward to locate abducted Afghan American in Afghanistan

The United States has offered a $5 million reward for help in locating Mahmood Shah Habibi, an American businessman who was abducted in Afghanistan in 2022. Photo courtesy FBI/ Release June 25 (UPI) -- The United States is offering a reward of up to $5 million for information locating Mahmood Shah Habibi, an Afghan American businessman who was abducted in Afghanistan nearly three years ago. The reward from the U.S. State Department's Rewards for Justice Program was announced Tuesday by department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce, who said during a regular press briefing, "We have determined that he has been disappeared, and that he has not been heard from." According to a release from the FBI in August, Habibi, a contractor for Kabul-based telecommunications company Asia Consultancy Group, and his driver were kidnapped from their vehicle near his home in the Afghan capital on Aug. 10, 2022. It is believed that he was taken by the Taliban along with 29 other employees of his company, all of whom, except for Habibi, have since been released. "He has not been heard from since his initial arrest, and the Taliban has yet to provide any information regarding his whereabouts or condition," the State Department said in a statement. Bruce said they are hoping the $5 million reward will entice someone to come forward. "It makes a difference in everyone's lives that we might get some information about him," she said. The U.S. military withdrew from Afghanistan in 2021. In its absence, the Taliban regained control of the Middle Eastern country.

RFK Jr. wants every American to use ‘wearable' health data-collecting technology

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. wants all Americans to use 'wearable' technology to track their health as part of his 'MAHA' agenda. The Kennedy-clan strongman revealed his agency's plan Tuesday for a massive push for Americans — who have an obesity rate of 40% — to use wearable data-collecting technology such as FitBits, Oura Rings, and Apple Watches, to promote healthier lifestyles. 'We're about to launch the biggest advertising campaign in HHS history to encourage Americans to use wearables,' Kennedy said in a House Committee on Energy and Commerce hearing on Tuesday. They can see, as you know, what food is doing to their glucose levels, their heart rates, and a number of other metrics, as they eat it,' the secretary said in the statement, which was also posted to X. 'We think that wearables are a key to the MAHA agenda of making America healthy again and my vision is that every American is wearing a wearable in four years,' he concluded.
