Pedro Pascal has savage response to JK Rowling after she reacts to court ruling on what legally defines a woman
Pedro Pascal has made his feelings about JK Rowling very clear.
If you've been keeping an eye on what celebrities are wearing at the moment, you might have spotted some wearing a t-shirt with the slogan 'Protect The Dolls'.
The tee was designed by Connor Ives for people to wear in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community - transgender women in particular.
Since its release, famous faces like Troye Sivan, Tate McRae, and Tilda Swinton have been sporting the statement fashion piece. Pascal has also been seen wearing it on numerous occasions, most recently at a Thunderbolts screening in London earlier this week.
But someone who won't be seen wearing the t-shirt is Harry Potter author Rowling, who recently celebrated the UK Supreme Court's decision on what legally defines a woman.
Judges in the UK's highest court said that the 'concept of sex is binary' and that a person with a Gender Recognition Certificate (GRC) in the female gender 'does not come within the definition of a woman', said the BBC.
In simpler terms, the court ruled that only women born as such meet the legal definition of a woman.
The ruling has caused a lot of controversy, but Rowling has applauded the news and said that the decision has protected 'the rights of women and girls across the UK'.
Elsewhere, Rowling shared a snap on her Twitter page of her smoking a cigar with a drink. She wrote alongside the photo: "I love it when a plan comes together. #SupremeCourt #WomensRights."

Writer and activist Tariq Ra'ouf later posted a video blasting Rowling for her reaction and said it was some 'Voldemort villain s**t'.
And Pascal agreed and made his feelings clear in the comment section of Ra'ouf's video.
The Last of Us actor said: "Awful disgusting S**T is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior."
Other stars to have spoken out against Rowling and the Supreme Court's ruling include Bridgerton favorite Nicola Coughlan.
Sharing an article titled 'This Is a New Low for J.K. Rowling', Coughlan penned on her Instagram Story: "Keep your new Harry Potter, lads. Wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole."
Meanwhile Saturday Night Live's Bowen Yang shared a photo of himself flipping off the camera and wrote 'absolute f**k u to jk rowling' alongside a trans pride flag emoji.
Even the original Harry Potter cast themselves have spoken out previously about Rowling's views and condemned them. In 2020, Daniel Radcliffe said in a statement: "Transgender women are women."

Nick Kyrgios takes dig at BBC and his potential on-air replacement: ‘Their loss more than mine'
Nick Kyrgios is apparently competitive on and off the tennis court. In an interview with The Guardian, Kyrgios ripped the BBC for not bringing him back as a commentator during this year's Wimbledon, taking a dig at his replacement in the process. 'I know I'm a great commentator,' Kyrgios said. 'All I've done for 20 years is play, study and breathe this sport. I also think tennis needs commentators who say things that not everyone says. 'It's unfortunate but it's probably their loss more than mine,' he continued. 'I understand they've got Chris Eubanks but he hasn't beaten the greatest of all time multiple times. When someone's beaten Federer, Nadal, Murray and Djokovic and has incredible insights, it's very strange you wouldn't want that person adding knowledge to tennis fans. Eubanks, an American tennis player who is ranked No. 108 in the world, has not been officially named by the network as part of their Wimbledon coverage. The Australian Kyrgios was on BBC's airwaves in London during last year's Wimbledon after he sat out due to a wrist injury. The network faced significant blowback for hiring Kyrgios for their television coverage after he previously admitted to assaulting his ex-girlfriend. He won't participate in this year's tournament after suffering yet another injury setback, this time a knee problem. 'Unfortunately, I won't make it back for grass season this year,' Kyrgios shared in an Instagram story earlier this month. 'This is just a bump in the road… I'm already working hard to get back stronger.'

Lena Dunham: I Used ‘Too Much' to Take Stand on Abortion Rights During ‘Pivotal Moment'
Lena Dunham and husband Luis Felber's new Netflix series 'Too Much,' starring Megan Stalter, is set to drop July 10, and while the series' trailer promised laughs, Dunham said she also felt a responsibility to use the show to make a stand on women's rights. Speaking at a preview event (via The Hollywood Reporter), Dunham sported a Planned Parenthood pin and teased a 'Too Much' storyline that involves abortion. 'As an artist, I'm proud … that we get to be part of showing people all over the world a healthy woman making a super self actualized choice to get reproductive care [from] a really true, loving abortion provider, because those people are heroes,' Dunham said. 'So to be able to represent that was really, really important to me.' More from IndieWire 'Golden Girls' Writers Felt the Need to Stay in the Closet, Despite Show's Massive Gay Following 'Abbott Elementary' Star William Stanford Davis Wants More Actors to Say 'No' | 'What No One Tells You' The 'Girls' creator/star also told THR prior to the preview that she felt it necessary to shine a light on Planned Parenthood during 'this really pivotal moment.' 'While we know that television may not always change the dial on politics, what we can do is normalize very normal health procedures like abortion for our audience and especially let young people who may be watching and want to get care at Planned Parenthood know what a loving, safe place it is,' she said. Dunham has partnered with and advocated for Planned Parenthood in the past, including in 2017 when she released a star-studded animated tribute to the organization with participants like Meryl Streep, Mindy Kaling, Jennifer Lawrence, and America Ferrera. 'We've been working on the film for over a year in an attempt to shed light on Planned Parenthood's remarkable history and ongoing battle to keep serving the people who show up to their health centers every day of the year,' Dunham told THR at the time. 'I really think it's the best cartoon about the history of reproductive freedom ever made, but it may also be the only cartoon about the history of reproductive freedom ever made.' 'Too Much' finds Stalter played a workaholic that, in the wake of a failed relationship, moves to London to 'live a life of solitude like a Brontë sister.' Of course, things change when she meets a man (Will Sharpe) that challenges her new life plan. The stacked cast also stars Andrew Rannells and Rita Wilson, and features appearances from Andrew Scott, Naomi Watts, and Rhea Pearlman.
