'Teen Mom' Stars Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra Address Ongoing Drama With Their Daughter's Adoptive Parents

Yahoo7 days ago

Fans of Teen Mom have likely been watching the story of Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra since the duo first graced screens during their appearance on 16 & Pregnant. Of the original group of teen parents, the couple were the only ones to put their baby up for adoption, and they both did so with the understanding that the adoption would be an open one, and they'd be allowed to remain in their biological daughter's life in one way or another. However, recent changes to their relationship with her adoptive parents have lead their case to become a closed adoption, leading the couple to make a drastic move.

During the May 22 finale, the duo sat down with Dr. Drew Pinsky for the final recap. During their meeting, Dr. Drew explained how he had reached out to the couple who adopted Carly in an effort to smooth things over. As Dr. Drew updated the Baltierra's on his conversation, an emotional Baltierra told the television hos that she felt like the adoptive parents were "keeping this beautiful girl" from her, prompting Dr. Drew to make an astonishing reveal, saying that the families were in desperate need of a "reset" to get back on the same page.
"As part of this reset, they shared something very important with me — something rather moving and remarkable from your daughter," Dr. Drew explained.
"She sings in church, she's quite an accomplished singer and they recorded a song of hers. I would love to listen with you because it is so moving. It does kind of feel like Carly's sending a message of, 'I'm good.'"
However, when the Baltierras said they'd rather listen to the song in private, they were told no. "I have shared with Brandon and Teresa for multiple years, and even at the last visit, how I would love to have a video for her singing and not once has Teresa ever given them to me, but now she'll give them to you? On TV," the mother of three responded.
"This is just the beginning. It's not like I'm going to be the conduit from now on," Dr. Drew attempted to smooth things over. "But I think Carly wants to share with not just you, but the world also. She's participating in this. I think she's proud of it."
In the end, they decided not to listen to the song on the show, and instead called the entire thing "triggering." Later, Baltierra said that he found the whole thing manipulative. After the episode aired, the couple posted a message to the adoptive parents as well as fans, letting them know that they no longer planned to publicly talk about their biological daughter or the adoption on camera.
While there's no word yet whether or not the Baltierras have heard from the adoptive parents since the episode airs, we hope that they're able to find some peace with this situation moving forward. We honestly can't imagine how challenging it must be for everyone involved.

Drew Sidora Reveals She Dated Michael B. Jordan: 'People That Know, Know'

Drew Sidora's latest confession about a past relationship has left many surprised, mostly because it has never been mentioned until now. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star recently sat down with Carlos King on his Reality with the King podcast, where she dished on her past relationships with Ty Young and Dennis McKinley — while also dropping a bombshell. The Step Up star revealed that she once dated Michael B. Jordan, long before he became the Hollywood heartthrob and talent he is today. 'I dated Michael B. Jordan,' she casually said. 'I never said that out loud publicly, but people that know, know.' Possibly even throwing a little shade at her past lovers, she added, 'I like biceps, not bellies.' And we all know MBJ has that plus more. Drew went on to reminisce about the days when Jordan was still a rising star, back when he was acting on All My Children in the early 2000s. According to Drew, she even attended the NAACP Awards as his date at that time. 'He asked me to be his date to the NAACP awards,' she recalled, adding that they were also friendly with each other's families. 'My sister Allison … he would come over and she would cook for him … I met his mom, and you know it was great.' Drew, however, isn't the only one who has spilled tea about a past Michael B. Jordan romance. Brie Tiesi made headlines in 2023 when she claimed to have been intimate with the Sinners star. During a dinner scene on Netflix's real estate reality show, Selling Sunset, Brie casually flexed, 'I could do that and I've done that,' when asked if she'd sleep with Jordan. Another realtor responded to her claims with, 'I want to live through that vagina right now.' While the world has witnessed Jordan's publicized romance with Lori Harvey, he's kept his dating life under wraps since their public split. The 38-year-old has since made it clear that he's not rushing into anything. 'My next relationship is gonna happen when it's supposed to happen,' he told Rolling Stone in 2023. Ukraine needs about 200 aircraft for effective defence – Ukraine's Air Force spokesperson

Ukraine needs about 200 aircraft of various types to repel the Russian aggression effectively. Source: Yurii Ihnat, Head of the Communications Department of the Ukrainian Air Force Command, in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda (translation is coming soon) Quote from Ihnat: "The aircraft themselves should be of different types. The F-16 is a multipurpose aircraft. It can operate in the sky and against air, ground and surface targets. There are specific and different tasks in aviation, as I have just mentioned. Estimates have been made of how many types of aircraft are needed. Well, about 200 for effective defence of the country." Details: Ihnat says that in the early 90s, there were about a thousand aircraft in Ukraine, but this was the total number of flying and non-flying aircraft. The Soviet Union was building up a grouping of nuclear forces and tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of Ukraine. The same Tu-160, Tu-95 and Tu-22M3 strategic bombers were in Poltava Oblast. There were also many frontline aircraft and bombers in Dubno and Starokostiantyniv. This was a huge aircraft grouping to be directed to the West in case of emergency, Ihnat explains. However, some warplanes rotted away in the 1990s and early 2000s, and some were sold to Africa and other countries. Therefore, the spokesman stressed that efficiency today is not measured by quantity but by modernisation and innovation. Background: Even before Ukraine received F-16 fighters, Colonel Ihnat noted that Ukraine needed up to 200 multipurpose aircraft to defend its skies. Support Ukrainska Pravda on Patreon!

This should be taken as normal – Ukraine's Air Force spokesperson about losses and effectiveness of F-16 jets

Colonel Yurii Ihnat, Head of the Communications Department of the Ukrainian Air Force Command, has confirmed the loss of three F-16 fighters, noting that such losses are inevitable in the context of active hostilities. Source: Yurii Ihnat in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda (translation is coming soon) Quote from Yurii Ihnat: "We have seen reports about the loss of aircraft – this should be taken as normal. Unfortunately, there are losses in the war, including F-16s. With such intense fighting, it is clear that there can be losses. We are building up [the capabilities]." Details: Ihnat noted that the Air Force of Ukraine received F-16 fighters that were already in use. However, even in this condition, these aircraft are much more effective than the Soviet weapons that Ukraine used to employ. Ihnat stressed that the aircraft's combat effectiveness depends not only on the platform itself but also on the radar it is equipped with and the missiles it can use. "An aircraft is a platform. Then, it is important to know what is under its wings and what kind of radar it has. The radar has to see far away; the missile has to fly far away, accurately. At the final stage of flight, it's a matter of firing and not keeping track of it. The active homing head should look for the Russian aircraft itself, etc." However, the colonel said, Russia currently maintains an advantage in target detection range, and its missiles have a longer range than the F-16. In addition, Russian aviation operates in close cooperation with powerful air defence systems. Ihnat also noted that before the arrival of the F-16s, the ratio of forces in the air was approximately one to ten, not in favour of Ukraine. He compared the technical difference between Ukrainian and Russian aircraft to the difference between a Makarov pistol and a sniper rifle, noting that despite this, Ukrainian pilots were able to fight back. Background: On 16 May, Ukraine's Air Force lost an F-16 aircraft. A pilot encountered an emergency situation on board while repelling a Russian aerial attack but managed to steer the aircraft away from a populated area and successfully ejected. In August 2024, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that an F-16 fighter jet crashed while repelling a Russian missile strike and the pilot was killed. At that time, it was reported that pilot Oleksii Mes had been killed. On 12 April, 26-year-old pilot Pavlo Ivanov was killed while performing a combat mission on an F-16 aircraft.
