A FIEND went on a warped drugs and porn binge after murdering his girlfriend then severing her head and trying to chop up her body, it was revealed yesterday.
And a lawyer for evil Ewan Methven, 27, admitted that the monster would be seen as 'the personification of evil' for his savage slaughter of Phoenix Spencer-Horn, 21.

The creep even pretended to his victim's mother that she was still alive following the horrific killing in East Kilbride last November.
After Methven admitted his guilt, the High Court in Glasgow was told that in the hours after the frenzied knife slaying he had accessed a porn website 170 times.
The postman also arranged for several drug deliveries to his flat while tragic Phoenix — his partner of two years — lay butchered in the hall under a towel.
It wasn't until two days later that Methven called 999 to report he'd killed the popular hotel and coffee shop worker of nearby Strathaven.

The brute claimed he'd had a 'psychotic blackout' due to booze, cocaine and steroid use.
But even after pleading guilty to murder he still refused to give any explanation for subjecting petite Phoenix to such a gruesome death.
Judge Lord Matthews said: 'This was a horrible and appalling crime.'
The court heard Phoenix had seen her mother Alison Spencer the day before her death and had been in good spirits at work the day she was murdered.

But Methven texted her during her shift to complain that he felt 'lonely' due to her long hours at work, which she apologised for.
He ordered a takeaway meal that night which the couple ate when Phoenix got back.
Tragic Loss: Remembering Phoenix Spencer
She contacted her mum at 9.37pm to say she was at home having dinner.
But at around midnight a downstairs neighbour heard 'loud noise and hurried footsteps'.

Prosecutor Chris McKenna told how a check on Methven's phone later revealed this had 'coincided with increased activity recorded in an app measuring steps at 12.13am'.
He continued: 'At that time, around or shortly after midnight on November 16, Methven attacked Phoenix by compressing her neck and repeatedly stabbing her to the head and body.'
The court was then informed of Methven's grotesque behaviour as his girlfriend lay dead.
When Alison tried messaging her daughter the following morning, he had replied — initially claiming 'Phe is not up yet' and that he'd get her to message when she was.

Later, the twisted sicko pretended to be his girlfriend as he sent a text to her mother. It stated: 'Hey sorry I've just woken up xxx'.
Another message then claimed Phoenix was 'all good'.
Just minutes later, Methven began logging on to adult websites.
Mr McKenna said: 'Throughout the day on November 17, analysis of his phone and search history revealed that, for a prolonged period over several hours, he accessed pornography from 8.12am through to 6.39pm.

'PHE, MY DARLING ANGEL'
By Bart Dickson
PHOENIX Spencer-Horn's devastated mum told how her daughter's savage murder had left her family 'shattered' - and they would remain 'broken forever' over their loss.
Alison Spencer, from Strathaven, Lanarkshire, posted the emotional tribute to the 21-year-old after her funeral in December last year.
She said: 'We have had to come to terms that we will never cuddle, kiss, laugh with her again and never get served one of her brilliant barista coffees with the perfect latte art which always made you feel special of how much love and precision she put into making them.
'We now only have the photos and videos to be blessed with her stunning smile, the stunning smile that the people who were lucky enough to have met Phe were left with after encountering her amazing energy and radiance.
'The last couple of months have undoubtedly been the worst we have ever gone through in our lives, having to accept that our fantastic, wholesome, stunning daughter has gone from the world and won't ever be coming back.
'Our hearts were shattered and broken forever, life will never be the same again without our Phe.
'RIP Phe, 21 forever. My darling angel.'
A commemorative bench is being created by local craftspeople while a fundraiser launched after her death raised £6,440 to support her family.
'He was noted to have accessed a pornographic video site 170 times.'
Concerns were then raised when Phoenix did not turn up for work on November 18.
Methven eventually dialled 999 that afternoon, stating he'd had 'a drug-induced psychotic break' and that he had 'killed' his girlfriend.
He told the operator: 'The past day I have been trying to kind of muster up the courage to phone.'

Methven said Phoenix remained in the hall with a knife beside her.
He added that he'd been taking steroids and cocaine, which he believed had been spiked.
Methven said: 'I totally blacked out through the full thing.'
He mentioned having 'stabbed' and 'choked' Phoenix, adding: 'It was f***ing horrible.'

Asked by a police officer who came on the line if Phoenix could still be alive, Methven replied: 'I know she is dead, mate. She is dead.'
Cops soon arrived at his flat and made the grim discovery of her remains.
Mr McKenna told the court: 'Phoenix's naked and mutilated body, with her head decapitated, was discovered by police covered up within the hall of their home.
'An attempt had also been made by him to sever her torso, right wrist and ankle from her body.

'There were two bloodstained knives lying next to the mutilated body.
"A further bloodstained knife was found discarded in the bedroom.'
After his arrest, Methven told cops: 'I could not stay here with her like that. I tried to dismember her. I moved her from the bath and put her there.'
And after being put in a police cell, he said: 'I guess this is what my next 25 years look like.'

The court was told Phoenix had suffered 20 stab wounds, including the fatal one to the chest.
Methven also admitted a bid to defeat the ends of justice.
His advocate, Tony Graham KC, said: 'Those related to Phoenix and those who are friends are likely to regard Ewan Methven as the personification of evil.
'He wishes to express publicly how truly sorry he is for the death.

"He recognises the relatives and friends will never be able to forgive him. He will not be able to forgive himself.
'He understands the bereaved will seek an explanation, but he cannot provide an explanation.'
Lord Matthews deferred sentencing until next month. As Methven was led away to jail, a man in the public gallery shouted 'beast' at him.

Ex-marine jailed for abuse of seven boys denied landlord registration

A former Royal Marine who sexually abused a number of boys has been denied permission to let flats in the capital. Rowland Reilly, who owns ten flats in Edinburgh, applied from prison to rejoin the landlord register, with his previous registration having lapsed in 2021. Councillors refused the request, saying his conviction made him not a fit person to let property in the city. Reilly, 59, abused seven boys in his care between 1984 and 1989 during his time as a non-commissioned officer in the Royal Marines. All the boys were members of the Royal Marines Cadets, with the abuse taking place at several locations in Scotland, including Loch Lomond, the Pentland Hills and RM Condor in Arbroath. At his trial in 2023, the High Court in Edinburgh heard that some of his victims have been left with long-term mental health issues. At the time, the court heard that Reilly had gotten several of his underage victims drunk before assaulting them. Reilly pleaded guilty to charges of indecent assault and lewd and libidinous conduct in 2023 and was sentenced to four years in prison. He was granted a short time on bail to resolve his business affairs, which included running his car dealership. Before the committee made a decision, convener and Conservative councillor Joanna Mowat said: 'I don't think we can accept them onto the register as a landlord. They have demonstrated that they are not a fit and proper person. 'I recommend that we don't accept Mr Reilly onto the register of landlords.' Earlier in the meeting, council officer Andrew Mitchell said: 'The applicant has declared a conviction for which he is serving a custodial sentence. 'Officers are recommending that the committee refuse entry to the register based on that conviction.' A police liaison officer in the room said: 'Routine police assessment checks carried out identified a previous conviction, which is considered as unspent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The conviction was held at the Edinburgh High Court on November 10, 2023. 'Charges one and two were of lewd, indecent and libidinous behaviour with aggravation of child and a male under 13. 'Charges three to seven were was indecent assault, again with aggravation of child and sexual offence against a male over 13 and under 16. 'He was convicted of a sexual offence with a notification requirement. 'Some of these offences are between 1984 and 1989, the applicant did sexually abuse children and young men in various locations throughout Scotland. 'We are of the opinion that due to the serious sexual nature of his offences, he would not be a fit and proper person to be a landlord.' Liberal Democrat councillor Jack Caldwell asked officers about the applicant's letting history, saying: 'How common is it for a landlord application to have ten properties in it? Because, in my view, you don't just get 10 properties out of nowhere before you register.' Mr Mitchell replied: 'I think there are a number of landlords out there with properties where they will have individual circumstances where they allow their registration to lapse. 'This is an attempt to get back on the register in these circumstances. That's all.' Brazen teens loot store amid parking lot boxing match between two women

More than 50 youths looted an Arizona gas station convenience store after a brazen brawl broke out in the parking lot. A massive crowd swarmed the parking lot of the QuikTrip gas station in Surprise to watch as two unidentified women engaged in a full-on boxing match, surveillance video obtained by the Daily Mail reveals. The women threw punches back and forth, seemingly trying to take each other to the ground, as the jeering crowd circled around and recorded the chaos on their phones. A white pick-up truck, likely at the scene to utilize the station's services, slowly drives through the unnoticing crowd as they remain fully engaged in the fight. The clip cuts to a view from inside the shop, where the youths snatched alcohol right out of the coolers, before running outside without paying. A store attendant tries to intervene and appears to plead with the group - but they blatantly ignore him and continue their looting mission. The video, once again, cuts back outside where the teens are seen fleeing through the parking lot on foot with the stolen goods in tow. Others piled into cars before speeding off the premises. The brawl broke out in sprawling Phoenix suburb Saturday night at a gas station near Loop 303 and Bell Road in the early hours of Sunday morning. Police said more than 50 people 'engaged in disorderly conduct and looting of a convenience store'. Investigators allege the 'reckless criminal behavior' by the group 'directly interfered with access to a nearby hospital, affecting patients needing emergency medical care'. They did not disclose what specific products were snatched from the store, though the surveillance footage shows the group grabbing alcoholic beverages out of the coolers. Some teens were heard making 'politically motivated comments', police told ABC 15, but did not disclose what specifically was said. Police added it is 'unknown' if the incident was related to the No Kings protest that took place earlier that day. Business resumed as usual at the QuikTrip later that day, FOX 10 reports. Meanwhile, police have asked for the 'community's assistance in identifying the individuals involved'. The Surprise Police Department says it has a 'zero tolerance for criminal activity' and is actively investigating the incident. 'We will use every available resource, including surveillance footage, witness statements, and digital evidence, to identify, arrest, and prosecute all individuals involved to the fullest extent of the law,' the force said in a statement. 'The safety of our community is our top priority. We stand with our local businesses, our healthcare providers, and every resident of Surprise who deserves to live in a safe, peaceful city.' Anyone with details about the crime is encouraged to contact the Surprise Police Department at 623-222-TIPS (8477) or via email at crimetips@ The incident came just hours after No Kings protests swept across the country on Saturday, with organizers saying millions rallied against what they described as President Donald Trump's authoritarian tendencies. Confrontations were largely isolated. An innocent bystander was shot in Utah after a man brandished a rifle during the rally. He later died from his injuries. In Riverside, California, authorities said a driver of an SUV struck a woman who was participating in a demonstration and sped away. The woman had 'significant injuries' but was stable, police said, adding that they were still searching for the driver. Outside the Arizona statehouse, a social media video showed protesters Saturday jeering at and then skirmishing with a masked man, who eventually pulled out a handgun, causing the crowd to scatter. Another video showed Arizona Department of Public Safety officers taking the man into custody.
