‘Squid Game' Season 3 Trailer Invites You To Play One Last Time
A black ribboned coffin rolls into the fluorescent hell of the arena, flanked by masked guards in candy-pink jumpsuits. It creaks open not to mourn a fallen player, but to reveal a man who has died a thousand emotional deaths. Gi-hun is back. Netflix has dropped the first trailer for Squid Game Season 3, and with it, the stage is set for the final, brutal act in a story that began with debt, desperation, and a playground's promise of salvation.
The teaser wastes no time teasing bloodshed. A giant gumball machine spits out coloured spheres to a group of terrified contestants, splitting them into two groups in what seems to be a fresh variation of the team-based slaughter that has defined past rounds. This time, though, the symbolism feels darker. Rooms shaped like blades and flashes of chains suggest a death game with both emotional and physical costs.
While Gi-hun struggles once more to dismantle the machine from within, the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) makes his return with cold precision, resuming his role as the orchestrator of suffering. Season 2 had closed with Gi-hun's rebellion crushed and his idealism left bleeding, but Squid Game Season 3 hints at something even more personal: betrayal, revenge, and what happens when the last shreds of hope are weaponised.
Among the returning players are familiar faces like Hyun-ju, Dae-ho, and Geum-ja, joined again by pink guard No-eul, who now appears to be operating on her own agenda. No-eul's movements, carefully hinted at throughout the trailer, suggest she may hold the key to undermining the system or tightening its grip. Another returning element is the dreaded presence of the VIPs, once again lurking in the shadows with champagne glasses in hand, watching carnage unfold for their amusement.
The teaser also stirs speculation about a baby, with the sound of crying woven into the background. It points to Jun-hee possibly giving birth inside the game, a horrifying detail that amplifies the moral rot of the system. Meanwhile, Player 246 (Gyeong-seok) briefly flashes across the screen, keeping alive theories about his survival and potential to shift the tide.
There's no official word yet on how many episodes will round out the season, but anticipation is already surging. With a return to form and a promise of fresh horrors, Squid Game Season 3 looks ready to scar a whole new generation of viewers. Whatever survival means this time, it's clearly not just about making it out alive.

Lego will soon embark on its collaboration voyage with Netflix's live-action One Piece series, with five new sets featuring iconic locations from season 1 now available for pre-order with an August 2025 release date. Headlining the upcoming sets is The Going Merry Pirate Ship (set 75639), the iconic vessel used by the Straw Hat Pirates. This 1,376-piece set includes detailed interiors such as a kitchen, the cabin and an accessory workshop, alongside minifigures of Luffy, Nami, Zoro, Sanji and Usopp, and will also include four random wanted posters of the pirates. The set will retail for S$199.90. As the largest of the five upcoming sets, The Baratie Floating Restaurant (set 75640) depicts the location where Luffy and the gang first met Sanji in the show, and will be made up of a staggering 3,402 pieces. The set will feature numerous interior locations like a dining area, a kitchen, Zeff's quarters and a treasure room, as well as 10 minifigures of Luffy, Nami, Zoro, Sanji, Usopp, Zeff, Garp, Helmeppo, Koby, and Mihawk, alongside five random wanted posters, with a retail price of S$449.90. Recreating the intense boss encounter from Season 1, the Buggy the Clown's Circus Tent (set 75637) comes in at S$79.90, and will be made up of 573 pieces. The set features a tent that can be flipped open to reveal a larger play area with three circus contraptions, including a water tank, spinning vertical table and a hanging cage. Buggy, Luffy, Zoro and Nami minifigures are included alongside a smaller version of Buggy that can be split apart and hidden in the set's various boxes and barrels, with the set also including two random wanted posters. Retailing at S$45.90, the Windmill Village Hut (set 75636) marks the smallest set of the bunch at 299 pieces and features the humble origins of the beloved straw hat pirate. The roof of the hut can be removed to unveil the store's interior, featuring accessories like treasure chests and a place to hang the wanted posters collected from other sets in the line-up. The set includes minifigures of Luffy, Shanks, and Makino alongside one random wanted poster. Finally, the 926-piece Battle at Arlong Park (set 75638) recreates the showdown between the Straw Hat Pirates and the Arlong Pirates, featuring a pagoda model, a shooting gallery, a shack and a 'shark attack' throne room, alongside minifigures of Luffy (with bendable stretchy arms), Nami, Usopp, Arlong, and Chu. Additionally, the pagoda can be collapsed into pieces to recreate Luffy's final blow in the show, and the shooting gallery includes stud shooter play elements. The set will also include three random wanted posters and will retail at S$124.90. The Lego Netflix One Piece sets are available for pre-order online and will ship from 1 August 2025. ‘Adolescence' Dethrones 'Stranger Things 4' As Netflix's Second Most-Watched English-Language Series
One-take wonder Adolescence is one step closer to becoming a Netflix chart-topper. The British limited series has racked up a total of 141.2 million views since its debut 80 days ago on 14 March, surpassing its previous fourth-place result of 114 million views to outpace Stranger Things 4 as the second most-watched English-language TV show ever on the streamer. Only Wednesday , starring Jenna Ortega ( You, 2022's Scream ), stands in its way with 252.1 million views in its first 91 days of debut. Still, the numbers fall shy of the current No.1 across both English and non-English language titles, with Squid Game Season 1 scoring 265.2 million views. Season 2, now at 192 million views and counting, is sandwiched between Wednesday and Adolescence . Led by first-time actor Owen Cooper, the latter centres on a 13-year-old named Jamie Miller who is arrested after the murder of a girl in his school. It became known for shooting each of its four episodes in one continuous take, and also stars Stephen Graham ( Gangs of New York , Peaky Blinders ), Ashley Walters ( Top Boy , Doctor Who ), and Erin Doherty ( The Crown , Chloe ) as Jamie's father Eddie, detective inspector Luke Bascombe, and psychologist Briony Ariston, respectively. 'Deadpool' Director Wants To Helm 'X-Men' Movie
Almost 10 years after his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) with the critically acclaimed 2016 anti-hero blockbuster Deadpool , director Tim Miller is ready to return to the superhero feature film scene, with ambitious goals to helm the MCU's X-Men movie. This comes after his stint making two acclaimed adult animated anthology series: Netflix's Love, Death & Robots and Amazon Prime Video's Secret Level , with the director hoping to help shake up the superhero genre once again, like he did with Deadpool . Deadpool (2016) 'I think that Marvel has this secret weapon they haven't been able to unveil yet, which is the whole X-Men universe, which is what got me into comics.' Miller explained during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, 'The X-Men are my favourite characters. I wrote Kevin Feige, and I'm like, 'If there was ever anything that you would let me do in the Marvel Universe, please, the X-Men would be it.'' Miller would definitely be a good fit for the X-Men universe, too, as he was previously developing a film based on the X-Men #143 comic at Fox before its merger with Disney ended the plans, a film which, according to Miller, would have been ' Home Alone meets Alien '. X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) His ambitions aren't limited to the MCU either, as Miller also has plans to enter the DC universe. 'If DC ever gets around to doing The Authority, that's my favourite comic ever — it's the Justice League if they killed people. I think there's a lot of room left, a lot of different stories to tell,' he added.
