Jacksonville police follow blood trail from wounded man to woman stabbed to death, he's arrested
Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said a man with stab wounds led officers to a gruesome scene early Sunday which ultimately lead to his arrest on a charge of murder, a JSO Facebook post states.
JSO was called to the 8000 block of Arlington Expressway at 3:20 a.m. for a report of a person stabbed. Officers arrived and found Carlos Aldana, 38. He had stab wounds to his left hand and shin, police said.

Aldana was taken to a hospital and treated for his wounds.
'A trail of blood led officers from where Aldana was found to a crime scene in an apartment unit,' JSO's Facebook post states. 'Once inside, officers found 30-year-old Yannelis De La Caridad Casales Anton with multiple stab wounds. She died at the scene.'
Detectives determined the incident is domestic in nature, police said.
Aldana 'was transferred from the hospital to the Duval County jail where he is behind bars charged with murder,' police said.

Florida man accused of dealing drugs, promoting dogfighting kept 9-foot alligator on property: JSO
The Brief The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said it discovered a 9-foot alligator in the yard of an accused drug dealer. According to JSO, there were multiple neglected dogs on the property as well as evidence of dog fighting. Marquis Williams, 49, was arrested and is facing more than a dozen animal abuse charges, including illegally possessing an alligator and promoting dog fighting, which are felonies. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A drug bust in Florida landed a man in jail and led to the rescue of a 9-foot alligator and multiple neglected dogs that may have been used for dog fighting, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. The backstory In March, JSO said it received a tip about a house on the north side of Jacksonville that was being used to distribute illegal drugs. Investigators said they found cocaine, oxycodone, marijuana and several guns inside the home, which led to the arrest of 49-year-old Marquis Williams. Several dogs were kept in skyboxes while others were chained, according to JSO. Officers said the dogs showed serious signs of neglect, including being covered in feces, fleas, and infections. The officers said they found other animals in similar condition, including young raccoons and turtles. Dig deeper Authorities also discovered a 9-foot alligator in a small, fenced-in area. Officers said the gator had no access to water in the cage and bones scattered on the ground suggested it was being fed the other animals on the property. St. Augustine business owner indicted on charges of having child sexual abuse material
A St. Augustine business owner has been federally indicted on charges that he paid money to receive child sex abuse images online. Action News Jax was outside Dymeng Technology Solutions on Paseo Reyes Drive on May 8 when the business was raided. We confronted the owner, Jack Leach, to find out why federal investigators were there. Man arrested for Sunday night murder in Ware County
The Ware County Sheriff's Office announced Monday afternoon that a suspect has been arrested for murder following a shooting Sunday night. Deputies responded to a home on Manor Millwood Road North around 10:30 P.M. Sunday after receiving a call about a man being shot. The victim, 52-year-old Henry Joseph McClellan, was found unresponsive and declared dead shortly after, according to WCSO. >>> STREAM ACTION NEWS JAX LIVE <<< After a short investigation, the murder suspect was identified as Clinton Matt 'Hank' Landrum, who had already left the scene before deputies arrived. He was eventually found and arrested by law enforcement in Wayne County for murder Monday afternoon, and officials say he's likely to face additional charges. 'Anyone in the public is asked to come forward and tell us any information they might have about the case,' said Ware County Sheriff Carl James. 'I would also like to sincerely thank Sheriff Chuck Moseley, his exceptional Deputies, and other law enforcement in Wayne County for their efforts in getting Landrum arrested to face the murder charge here in Ware County.' WCSO expects him to be transferred to the Ware County Jail later Monday and have a first appearance in court on Tuesday.
